Quote:Yeah, Johnny. Why? Why does this happen? Because the Villains struck first, struck hard, and struck where it hurts. They have the heroes by the yarblocko's and it shows. Consider the SSA title: WHO WILL DIE? A member of the Freedom Phalanx IS GOING TO DIE. How can you NOT expect some serious villainy to be happening? The heroes aren't going to stop it. It's how the SSA ends.Arc part 3 continues the trend of the hero side version being an inferior near copy of the villain version just with parts removed. Villains continue to get extra information and a major reveal while the heroes are denied the whole picture.
If you ask me, Villains are getting more information not only because they're the ones perpetrating this entire scheme, but because Mr. Behind Closed Doors is going to royally fork the villains over at the last minute. -
O_O
The SSA just got very... very interesting. -
Quote:Last week was the Undead Survival Kit. Re-read the post you quoted.Honestly, I'm not sure what's laughable about any of those offerings in concept. I mean, some convenience items (yea ... nobody's going to go for convenience item IOs ....), a story arc (possibly a short one), and an aura. I don't really see anything actually bad about any of that.
Besides, what we're getting tomorrow is already bounds better than what we got last week by the SSA alone. So again, /thread. Requesting a mod lock. -
Quote:Missed that post.Since it was posted a few hours ago as to what will be in tomorrow's release, I guess you have your answer.
Of course, each person's opinion of the weekly releases can be different depending on what they are looking for.
I know of some new players that enjoyed what they got from the Survival Kit since it was items they weren't high enough to have earned through missions yet.
Interesting that rare IO's are making their way to the market.
Well, that's that then! /thread -
Quote:Doesn't mean the issue hasn't been posted hundreds of times before. It has, and it's all ended the same way. Thread starts, people say "Oh crap, this thread again", a giant pissing contest ensues, thread devolves into "BUT IT REALLY IS AN ISSUE, IT REALLY IS IT REALLY IS" and then the thread dies.Except well.... it's different people. I've not even seen the OP post before.
Every. Single. Time. I wish the I21 beta forums were still up; I compiled a list of the threads that have been started about this very subject. I came out with about 30 links, and that wasn't the half of it. -
... isn't as lame as the Undead Survival Kit.
-
So I recently watched The Rite (fantastic movie), and ever since I've wanted to make an exorcist/priest character. I have the name Father Fury, and he's going to be a Fire/Time Controller.
Now here's the issue. God is a touchy subject on all fronts. I can make him Natural Origin, or Magic Origin.
Natural origin imples that God is natural, and that rubbed a few of my friends the wrong way as "religion isn't technically of a natural origin."
Magic origin will likely result in people going "OMG GOD ISN'T MAGIC."
What would you do? -
Quote:That defense would work wonders in Incarnate Trials on top of SR.This would work. I'd suggest taking a less defense based set though. Defensive Sweep provides a good bit of defense and is easy to stack. Through IO bonuses on it and it's awesome. I am testing a TW/Regen and finding it much less problematic than predicted because of that additional defense. More defense means less need to use your clicks and less interruption of momentum.
-
SR is a good one too, but Invul has one problem: Psi. Sure, Gargoyles don't regenerate but it's not like they have a brain to get wracked by psionics.
-
Willpower and Invul will be your best bets, with Willpower taking a stronger lead thanks to no Psionic hole. Fiery NEEDS Healing Flames, which is a click, and a click you'll be using often. Regen is even clickier (not a word) and will leave your Momentum wasting away.
I'd go with Willpower, personally; TW is very endurance heavy and Quick Recov is a great way to relieve this. Not to mention WP's ability to resurrect with a hefty damage/ToHit boost. -

Please check last post date before resurrecting an old thread.

Quote:Click the link in my sig that says Dark Armor can't tank. With end management this challenging, how could it be one of the best armour out there......?
When you can pull off stuff like that, you realize why Dark Armor is one of the best and most versatile sets out there. -
Don't double space. Seriously. It takes up 10 characters.

I haven't crashed in a week. Interestingly enough, I stopped crashing about the same time my Boot Camp partition decided that "The Device Driver has Timed Out and Has Recovered, City of Heroes.exe has been Closed" would be a nice thing to show me every time I launch the game.
So screw you, Windows 7! My mac is running the game wonderfully for the first time in TWO YEARS!

"These aren't my slippers."

Shameless bump. I'd really like some assistance here.

There needs to be some sort of law that states if a comic book character is dead (actually dead) and hasn't had an issue in 5 years then their name is up for grabs.
I mean, seriously, who the hell has even heard of Agent Liberty in a way other than your forum post? -
Quote:Toy Soldiers Unite.Heh, well...you asked for it.

Quote:Nope. It's an nVidia GeForce GT 330M 512MB. I've updated all my drivers to the latest they can be; It COULD potentially be a driver issue, but I've installed the latest Bootcamp drivers via Lion; Apple has their own set of drivers for the nVidia's in their laptops (found this out the hard way when I downloaded straight from the nVidia site and got a boatload of problems). What boggles my mind is that this never happened prior to my disk swap. I'm tempted to take the time to drop my old HD back in and see if I get the error again. I don't know why that'd be the case though. What's the card and what drivers are you using? I presume you reinstalled after replacing the drive so it's quite possible you're now running a different driver revision and that is what's causing the problem?
Given it's a Mac I'm assuming an ATI card? If so then there are a lot of known issues with CoH in a lot of the driver versions. -
I recently switched my system to a SSD since my last hard drive seemed to be making a few heaves towards death. Ever since then, Windows 7 has been giving me a totally new headache: The Display Driver Timed Out and Has Been Recovered. City of Heroes.exe was closed.
This is 100% new and I didn't have this problem prior to my SSD switch; has anyone had this garbage affect them, and if so, how did you kill it? I'm running on a dual-booted Macbook Pro; the card NEVER does anything like this macside, so it's not a hardware issue. I've had the card time out when browsing in Chrome, so it's not a heavy graphics issue. I've had the card time out when it's 107 degrees fahrenheit, so it's not a temperature issue. As far as I can tell, it's Windows being Windows. I need to be able to nuke this TDR crap Mickeysoft installed with Vista and 7; anyone have any insight? -
