I think I redeemed some slots... ****, I can't remember.
-
So I figure.. Around 4 to 6 then? I forget how many I redeemed when Freedom was released. So at most I'd have a total of 8. Is that about right?
-
I admit I've been half-hearted in my searches about this so I decided to post a question here. I'm a VIP who's going to expire next week on the 19th and I was wondering... Out of the 11 slots how many I will I still keep?

If you're ever on Freedom, look me up! InfinityComicsGabriel is my global.
Quote:For a while, I ran an all DP static team on Freedom once a week. It's amazing what a team full of pistoleros can handle. We did Dr Khan in about 25 minutes, and Cuda with a team of only 4. The only TFs we didnt do were STF, LRSF, Apex, and Tin Mage. The only reason we didnt do those is because the team broke apart due to RL before we got to take a shot at them. Im hoping to get the old band back together at some point... -
Last night I ran the Moonfire TF comprised of all DPers (Blasters mostly with one corruptor who had pain domination for heals) and there is something absolutely thrilling wading into a huge mob of Vampires with bullets flying all over the place.

thank you! You've given much to think about. I wonder if my teammate is succeeding in this endeavor. I admit I'm curious about this as well.
Quote:Let me start off by saying a pet-less mastermind is more of an endeavor of love and experimentation. Its like the rich guy that wants to spend half a million on stereo system for his home because he can. It isn't for the player who doesn't have 2 INF to rub together.
That being said..
I have to say I disagree with just about everyone here posting. Since you did say the like meaning something like this, that is pretty open ended.
I happen to have a Semi pet-less mastermind DS / Trap which has the last pet only and only the 2nd upgrade because I liked the look of the ice sword on the demon pet.
My build is completely defense capped and I currently have T3 Cardiac on him as well since on any Petless MM endurance is a tremendous issue.
I can and have soloed Crey Fire farm on a 2/8 setting comfortably and a 3/8 setting with a bit of work and closer attention.
I have seen players with a full set of powers to choose from that could not solo 1/5 setting let alone 2/8 setting. Heck I have seen lvl 50 tanks and brutes that couldn't solo Crey Fire on a 4/8 setting without having players feed them inspirations. So I think this whole notion of gimping one self irrelevant. I think if you understand some of the math, game mechanics and of course the money you can do anything in this game. I have no purple sets in the build as well.
I am not sure how pain would work. I do have a Pain DS MM that has around 660% personal regeneration. I don't know how well that would work when your taking a beating. I can say I survive much more then the pets do. I guess I could test it out with the one whip attack and a few vet powers just to see how I fair against some settings solo without pets.
My next plan is to use the 2nd build to create a SO pet build and run incarnate missions to unlock the rest of the alphas. I think just getting the T3s would be very interesting. Sadly the SO build is not defense capped but I will admit has more pets to produce greater dps output.
But again I have seen several lousy builds on these forums by players purporting to solo AVs with caltrops, so I think you need to see the build or know the source sometimes. Which I know clearly well works the other way as well. -
Last night during the Sewer Trial (Death from Below) one of my teammates was musing about how interesting it would be to just have the whip power and just have Pain Domination or Trick Arrow.
After the run I began to think about this... Is it possible to just have the whip power from DS and say Pain Domination or the like? -
Oh I love this power immensely. When I use this along with HoB/RoB along with a friend's Lightning Rod or some similar large area attack power, it's goddamned apocalyptic.
-
Nope it works. I've done it many many times. You can attack while PS'ed but nothing affects the enemies.
-
Guh.. Someone give this guy a hankie to cry into.
-
I've a DP/Devices Blaster. I like to sneak up and drop some trip mines in a mob of enemies. I also drop some timed mines, careful to make sure both go off at the same time. I use Stealth & Phase Shift. The PS is just in case they see me, they can't do a thing. At which point I unphase and let the trip mine blow up just as I unleash Hail of Bullets.
-
Hm. Okay. What about detection by the enemy? Which is better suited?
-
I've been playing for around 2-3 (yrs casually gaming) and I've always used regular IOs for my heroes. Recently, a friend made a build for me using mostly purple enh. and I was blown away at the damage being dealt and less dmg. taken.
After much thought, I have decided to respec my hi-level heroes and search for purple. recipes. What are some good guides that offer more information on purple IOs? -
I have two KM.
One with the Regeneration power and the other with electrical armor.
With the Regen. power I can fight alongside the Tanks w/o fear and I've been lucky to outlast some. I also gave him Teleportation (for his concept) so when things get hairy and we've died I can rez myself then Team Teleport the dead around me to a safe distance.
Elec armor is great. the lightning field adds extra damage and the power sink helps keep my endurance up. -
LOVED that movie. Got it right alongside Sky Captain, the Phantom, the Rocketeer, Flash Gordon

Many thanks!
Quote:There is no access to the AE unless you are at/above reward level 2 (one month sub/$15 in Paragon Points/Retail box purchase). At that level you have access to playing through AE content (no rewards). At reward level 4 ($60 in Paragon Points or 4 month sub) you can play through AE content with rewards.
In order to create missions through the Architect, you either have to be VIP or have attained at least Reward Level 6 (12 month sub/$180 PP).
Possibly, but I believe it depends on the difficulty settings of the player running your arc.
If you want all of your mobs to spawn at the same combat/threat level, make sure your pacing (found under "Mission Parameters") is set to flat. There are sometimes spawns that will not con the same, but generally they'll be pretty even.
This question is entirely subjective and differs based on a number of factors. The biggest thing you should concern yourself with is whether YOU are satisfied with your custom group.
This is a huge issue with the Architect. They instituted a profanity filter a while back that filters out known copy-righted names. Unfortunately, a good deal of those names are shared by canon characters and they are copy-righted as well. "Ghost" is the culprit in Ghost's Hand (Hand may be too). I'm not sure about Johnny Shadow, but I'd be willing to bet the offender there is "Johnny". It sucks, but until they COMPLETELY fix the filter, we have to work within the limits we have. -
Once the servers are back up I'll run a test!

- About AE in the F2P model. In what will way will it be limited to Freemiums?
- Is it possible to make a group with ONE boss on patrol?
- Why is it some custom made EBs and AVs don't share the same color rating? For example, I made two EBs, a Kinetic Melee/Energy Aura and Electrical Melee/Electrical Armor. Kinetic Melee is level 52 and cons red while Electrical Melee is ALSO 52 but cons purple? Same thing with certain AVs.
- Just what is the proper amount of minions, lieutenants, captains and bosses in a regular mob anyway? I've been told so many conflcting answers. 1 in each group? or 3 in minions and in in each of the remaining levels?
- not a question but a gripe, it's a bit frustrating when original names aren't allowed. for example my villain, a chinese necromancer from china, is called the Ghost's Hand. Another one, a stalker (broadsword and super reflexes) is called Johnny Shadow but yet the game won't allow me to use their names despite the fact the names are **nowhere** to be found anywhere. -
I love it. I love love love love. But now I have to redo my SD/SS tanker 'cause this power is a better representation of what he is. GRRR!
