Why wasn't there a special achievement badge for obtaining 1336 badges?
Oh well, at least I was able to document my accomplishment! -
A friend mentioned this morning the strange absence of spawns in Kings Row. I remember reading about this bug on the beta forums, so I kind of knew what the problem was, and switched to my Radiation/Sonic Defender to destroy any Paladins that had spawned and return order to the zone.
I got to the zone and noticed the streets were indeed absent of anything that usually appears in Kings Row. Apparently, this happens when the zone enemy spawn cap has been reached due to 3 Paladins endlessly spawning Sprockets in the "Clockwork Graveyard" (The area in High Park that the Paladins wander to after been built).
When I arrived at "Clockwork Graveyard" my frame rate immediately took a dive as my system attempted to render as many clockwork as it could at once. It took me and a few others who showed up 35-40 minutes to destroy the 3 Paladins and all the Sprockets that had spawned because the frame rate/latency was so bad.
My final count via herostats was 494 Clockwork defeated, but there were a lot more as 2 or 3 other players showed up to help clear them out as I announced in a global channel what was occurring.

I'm really surprised this bug went live with issue 22, as this one is a major show stopper because it renders the zone nearly useless unless someone is willing (and knows how) to fix the problem... -
Is there no achievement badge for just running Max's mission without gathering the 'help'?

Quote:I was aware of that, but with Freedom, one really doesn't need to start a character Goldside.Oh, I'm sure you know, Mystic, but there's a 100k prestige bonus when the goldside toons join your group. (inf earning will still be weak, but I'm pretty sure you really don't have any inf concerns)
However, is that a permanent increase to prestige? Or is it lost when/if the character leaves the SG?
Also, you are right. While I don't -need- the INF. I despise the market, and never really use it to exploit others out of their INF. I'd prefer to just generate it out of thin air. -
I believe that -one- badge was removed completely.
-
I will most likely spend a majority of the double XP weekend earning INF/Prestige on my 50s as frankly I have enough 50s collecting dust already and besides, leveling in this game is already stupidly easy.
That's not to say I won't create the alt here or there to group with my friends/SG mates who do the same. But most times after double XP has ended said characters sit unplayed on my character select screen for months until I finally get sick of looking at them and hit the -delete- key. -
I just wish they would have kept the end of DA arc mission that led into the new iTrial...
At any rate, I might be there depends on the time you decide to run it. -
That did it...
I officially hate TV Carl now. Little *******. -
Quote:I remember someone saying customer support had offered to award a vet badge manually, but also warned that the badge would be removed automatically with the following live publish. If they can't fix it, or won't fix it then let us be able to send in petitions on our account year anniversary and request the badge be awarded manually. Support checks the ticket, checks account anniversary date and awards the badge.
I never bothered to file a new ticket and request the badge I'm missing be awarded manually because I had hopes that they -might- actually get around to fixing it... now though, I may have to open that ticket after all...
Regardless if it's removed or not, at least I'd be able to verify while I had it. -
This was brought up on Ustream on Wednesday, Zwillinger said, they are aware of it but it appears to be so low priority that it stands the chance of never getting fixed. That's a paraphrase...
Yeah, I am not too happy about this. Not one bit. -
Although today we've lost another great, the music continues to live on. always.
-
Thanks everyone, and thanks again, CR for this fun contest!
-
That's all very useful information, Steele. However, the most important part to note is that Mystic Fortune is infact, #1.

Quote:Correct. On Talking Dead I believe they did confirm that the second zombie was the one she hit with the car.
As far as the preview on Comic Book Men with Rick and Shane standing near the fence with the Walker on the other side. I would say the Walker actually noticing them combined with Rick cutting his finger (which was stupid btw) and spreading the blood along the fence is what made the Walker freak out like that.
Still, silent zombie kill of the week? -
Hah. That's cute! Look forward to seeing the rest of these.

Hmm. What if... they applied the idea of Spring Attack into a pseudo teleport travel power that played the animation of the character firing the grapple into the air, an instant later he is pulled up and off screen very quickly. Shortly after he comes 'swinging' down at the reticles targeted location?
This wouldn't require any new code. This would simply be a series of new animations.
Granted you are still left with the whole, "Your character is swinging around the city, clearly not attaching his grapple to anything but 'good intentions'.", but then again, you get a similar effect with Spring Attack when the character jumps into the air and comes back down while in a low ceiling building or cave.
Sadly, this approach would end up turning 'Grapple Swing' into a glorified teleport travel power, but within the confines of the game engine, it's better than nothing. Plus, it would sell. I guarantee it! -
Every year or so one of these threads pops up in this section, and most times it turns into a "Our grass is better than yours" debate.. I've logged into Freedom a few times over the course of my CoH career and just about every time I'm left in puzzlement as I log out. Sure the population may be much greater but the quality of friendly players is much, much lower.
Now, I know what you're thinking, "Well he's biased!". and you're not wrong, I like logging into Liberty, the atmosphere is much nicer and the players are much more friendly. We're a small community but we're also known for being one of the nicest servers, nay! THE nicest server around. -
I look forward to seeing how these turn out!
Thanks Tartyrsause!
