    • Not On My Watch Badge - Allow no Mindwashed Prisoners to escape during a Behavioral Adjustment Facility Incarnate Trial.

    Instructions Info & Stats:

    • We will fight the AVs where they spawn; one team will be on additional spawn duty. If you need the iXP, please note in the signup so I can balance the add duty team
    • During the prisoner phase, three people to a door. If you are the fourth, move on to another door, or patrol the streets. I, myself, will be on the street duty.
    • 'Trollers and Doms, please stick to a door. If a mob or two gets away, they are the concern of the street duty people.
    • During the final round, there will be one team on Siege, one team on Nightstar, and one team on the adds. Do NOT kill off your AV until the Add team captain gives the all clear... one of the badges is dependent upon all the adds being dead when the AVs go down.

    Goals Info & Stats:
    • Synchronized Badge - Destroy a Weapons Cache and an Incubation Pod within 2 seconds of each other during the Lambda Sector Incarnate Trial. Listen on League chat, we'll try this one until we get it (through the ten box/canisters)
    • Antacid Badge - Complete the Lambda Sector Incarnate Trial having acquired 10 Molecular Acids but using none of them.
    • Lambda Looter Badge - Complete the Lambda Sector Incarnate Trial having acquired 10 Pacification Grenades but using none of them.
    • Antacid Badge - Complete the Lambda Sector Incarnate Trial having acquired 10 Molecular Acids but using none of them.
    • Well-Stocked Badge - Complete the Lambda Sector Incarnate Trial having acquired 10 Pacification Grenades and 10 Molecular Acids but using none of them.

    Instructions Info & Stats:
    • Phase I: Clear outside before going into the courtyard. Then clear the courtyard. Then clear the guns.
    • Phase II: Listen to the league chat; we are going to try and sync the killing of a canister and a box. Note that there seems to be a one or two second lag... so, killing both within two seconds is a matter of almost luck over timing. But, we will try to keep the timing tight.
    • Phase II: Focus on the canister or box... ignore the mobs around. Once the target is dead, stay together and leave any mobs still alive. Move on to the next objective.
    • Phase III: DO NOT USE A TEMP POWER (a grenade or acid). We are going to try and be adults, so, no passing to one person. YET. IF one of the temps goes off, do NOT use the other temp... we can still try for antacid or looter even if we lose the "other" badge and the well-stocked badge.
    • Phase III: DO NOT GET ANY OF THE EXTRA SHIPMENTS. Leave them alone. Getting either shipment breaks the badges... essentially, during this phase we are playing Wack-a-Marauder and NOTHING else. Let the adds die due to AOE's

Somewhat annoying that the only tank aura that doesn't proc from interface powers is the willpower rise.

Elec armor tank I'm going to work on next, however, will love interface powers.

Take a look at the number of computer scientists and engineers who date or have dated goth/neopagan chicks. Or am I dating my age-group? Anyway, that pairing is possible.

Heck, wilder pairings are possible. I'm in my early-mid thirties. Many of the geeks my age married strippers when we were all in our early twenties... we were a pretty socially inept bunch at that age, and, well, before the 2001 bust, we had money (dot-bomb of 2001... a good thing that most of them were still in the area from a certain point of view. Those ladies kept a lot of my friends fed, whilst they went looking for jobs). The Silicon Valley was a different place, then

Conversely, I have only created ONE toon that arrived in Paragon at Atlas Park, including beta time. And, well, that was on accident. Something about the place repeals me... but, I didn't like them adding flying longbow patrols to Galaxy City, either. I even formed my "personal" SG back in '05 (after the dissolution of the first four or five I was in) out of GC, and still pay the rent there. Still annoys me I have to go to AP for the capes/auras... and that I can't skip the cape mission for the aura one to minimize my time in that zone.

It did seem right to me that AE went to AP and the Arena was added to GC, though, on some level.
  8. Hrm; please put Myrdinn down as an alternate. I'm curious about this TF

I realize that I'm one of the forum "unknowns" so I don't mind if folks would rather someone vouch for me ahead of time. I'd much prefer to do this sort of thing in good faith, however. The frustration can be enourmous, I can understand that. But when it all comes down to it we're talking about, what, 30 minutes lost? MoLAM ain't exactly a Dr Q guys. I hope this bad experience doesn't get us all in the "everyone must pass around the temps before we can start" frame of mind. Teaming with friends I can understand. Treating adults like children rubs me the wrong way, though.
I can vouch for you after all the trials we've run together (I've been Myrdinn, Angus Lockhart, and once, Caitlin).

If Residentx isn't up to running it this weekend, I'll run it (I may not like raids, but I think I'm pretty good at 'em from the old days).
  10. FYI: Myrdinn is an energy/energy blaster with his round 1 slots all filled to tier 4's (Ion core/grav core/Seer radial/Ageless core. ). He's a 50+3, in other words.
  11. Edit: changed my mind. I'll bring Caitlin, emp/mc troller

I *think* Sunday nights are free in that list Myr. CP has cancelled his event, and I'm not sure of any others that are running that night.

I'm not organizing this beast, cause 1. I've never played either trial, and 2. I'm exhausted as can be with 2 full time jobs, and the 1 event I do setup a week. I'd rather not go completely off the deep end yet!

But from my understanding, times that might be open are: Sunday (afternoon or evening), Tuesday evening, Wed Evening EARLY (say 7 or 8pm Eastern), Friday evening, Saturday afternoon, and EARLY evening (again say 7 or 8pm Eastern).

I'm good for any of those but Fridays. I would love to get started on this. I'm a little intimidated at this point where everyone has played it a zillion times and are experts at it.
Gah, CP probably hates me right now; I was supposed to help when I could with the Sunday evening ones, and I had some pretty annoying problems on Sundays.
... I won't be around on Sunday evenings in July (driving day after the deacon bit in the morning), though... so, it is probably a good thing ResidentX is working on organizing them.
Otherwise, Tuesday evening or early Saturday evening/late afternoon would be my picks.

I might try a Friday thing at some point; not like I can find a social life around here (RL location) ;-)

I had noticed my seers were quite effective.
Sheesh, don't make me organize this, I suck at that.

Okay, Monday evenings, Wednesday evenings, Thursday evenings, Saturday nights, and Sunday evenings are right out insofar as we already have regularly scheduled runs by various people on those nights.
The pocket D purt (pick-up raid trial) teams are already spinning down a bit... so, time to start thinking about scheduling raid teams.

Me, I'm no good at organizing events in CoX (big thanks Luna, Mr E, Captain Power, Megpie, and Kotchie), but I figure we need to talk about when a good trial raid time would be good for all of us.
Tuesday evening? Earlier Saturday (and I mean a good two an a half hours prior to E's runs)? Friday's lag purgatory, but it is open as well.

Note: in order to emerit gain, and the likelyhood that each trial run will be an hour or less, the two hour time frame set for this will eventually be for both trials (excepting possibly moBaf trial run nights... easy to get moBaf if you do it in two runs instead of one).

Thoughts/opinions? This is either for Mo attempts or just running the alts ad nauseam.

It went as others described; the organizer made a team of scrappers, a team of tanks/brutes, and I think one more team of other ATs mixed together, and then the organizer gave some directions for the teams and quit.

We ran the trial and everything went smoothly. We even captured all of the prisoners for the badge and finished pretty quickly. I don't know his motives (maybe he is dual-boxing and organizing leagues for his alts?) but I had a good experience and would join one of his teams again. It certainly went a lot better than the first time when I joined a PUG team put together the more "traditional" way.
If he is the one I think you all are referring to (the Mikey thing gives it away if on Freedom), the fellow is a pretty good egg. I get the feeling English isn't his first language, but he tries hard.

Setting up leagues for others to run and have a good time (whilst not realizing the affect of leaving said league before it starts) also would fit with this personality.

He really does not mean harm.

Among the Church of Robotology or the Robotenolgists? Heck, when you baptize a unit in the Accord of Inhumanity, they are given a flamethrower. Let us not even discuss the Flower of Automaton and their adherents... they already think they are the best tech around, and squishes should be their servants and not the other way around!

    I. Kill a crate and a cylinder within a second or two of each other.
II. Use no acids on the doors (thus, the reinforcements constantly arrive during the Marauder fight)
III. Use no grenades on Maurader (succeeded in doing this ONCE with one minute remaining... 13 of the 16 of us where 50+1+1 or 50+1+2) thus fighting him at a high level
IV. Doing II and III at the same time.

So, Turg... set ze sign-up... preferably weekend...

Side note: so tempted to run around you and MB with the MoBAF tag. (although, I suspect both of you have that one)

Edit: note II-IV seem to be bugged, or were last night.
  20. The Warworks look suitably terminator-ish. So, just need one of them to end up in Primal Paragon... gain sentience, decide both sides are wrong, and start building an army...

Problem is that assembly line production would quickly outpace humanity, if not shut down early and/or constantly.

Ah, sorry about that. I have beta'd a large number of MMOs over the last decade... CoH is a very, very rare find. Prime/Freedom as well. I absolutely detest people who use registration dates as "my opinion weights more than yours." I had mistaken your post for an ageist who was deriding someone I feel and think is very valuable to the server. Specifically, since I also beta'd that time (and still think of Pos as the guy who smacked me down during the beta event shutdown as the lead Rikti... and the one we rezzed accidentally using the smart targeting when we finally DID defeat him) I, ah, was using the same ageist argument to counter that perceived ageist stance.

    Again, my apologies.

    Ah, doh.

You know my one major problem with IQ tests? There's a section wherein you take multiple meanings for words and bridge them with a third, vaguely related word. Whilst I know those multiple words, I cannot seem to shift an already set definition perception from the one I mentally set the instant I read a term/phrase.

Math, symbolic, etc. I fly through in the upper 140's/lower 150's. However, my total score is usually reduced down to the lower 140's due to my complete incapability to make those verbal/text bridges if I don't see it in the instant I read 'em and gauge independent definitions (indeed, because of this, I almost always test one or two points below my coveted score).

My apologies all around. I had not seen this particular alternate meaning due to an unfortunate name/abbreviation placement.
