So? Just imagine the new one. Just remember to warn the kid scout about the new magic Praetorian Loincloths.
  2. Honestly? I plan to use the VIP server as an "old toons home."

We never had more than half the team die at once. And often, in what I'd consider the hardest parts, we ruled. It was when we didn't expect to pull three groups that we got hit hard. Rooms with multiple levels, mostly.
Aye, on many levels it was a blast. Also, you did an excellent job tanking... that *one* room layout caused 14 of our deaths, for the record (total, each time we ran into it summed up). You are adapting from a blaster to a tank much faster than I did, when I made that shift.

We didn't really have trouble, we just slowed down once I upped the difficulty rating! We were coasting so fast and furious so early on, I thought "hey, why not?"
...didn't think through and realize that would end up making us the slower of the three teams (we were two missions ahead at one point, and ended up two behind)!

Plus, no one tell Paragon or Angel that it took me an hour to remember I could player recall folks out of hot zones, and rez them in safe areas. :-/ (that cost us five of those deaths!) And, uh, I'll get a stealth build for us. This week. :-S

Generally, aye. He didn't head to that one, from what I understand... prior to CoH, we were Jedi. So, he headed to the other, other superhero bit (he, ah, also works for said company's overlord company).

...and is disgusted, but, hey. ;-)

    Meteors and GC

Okay, what are the Atlas Scouts (aka, those who suffer the "rich man's burden" and want to mess with a hard-working zone) up to in regards to litter duty in GC? IMHO, the only thing GC needs is an unified space command to handle asteroids and shivan meteors!

    Anyone have a scoop?

This is quite true. I have a cousin who was in CoH's original beta with me back in the day. His main, post-launch, got up into the mid twenties right before the first publish (when 40 was the max level). Long story short, his account became inactive then.

Recently, he came back... but he had to rename his main toon, as that name had been long taken by someone else. He didn't complain on the forums... just spent two days looking at a name with periods on either side, and went off to another superhero game where he could have 'his' name.

I'm actually in favor of freeing up names that are on inactive accounts... however, I am quite well aware of what that means in relation to those who might want to return.

    Coming Storm?

That said, given that Mender Silos travelled back from several thousand years into our future, it could be a very, very long war indeed...
That's why we kill 'em all now!

erm, um, Arrest 'em all now! With extreme prejudice!

  10. O.o

Dang twitter feeds and Atlas Scouts need to leave GC alone. Sure, it might be scruffy, but it is home. Every universe from the old Prime to today's Freedom, my people(s) have started there, started careers there, and pay the rent there.

Dang pretty costume types are always sticking their overcolored, three hundred dollar haircut, over-cultured noses into a *real* descent cityscape that regular Joes and Janes work in every day.

It's a cultural war, I say, one of rich socialites taking upon themselves as a "rich man's burden" to try and be haughty over the real Paragons that make this city hum. Next thing you know, they'll be putting limits on how tall you can build skyscrapers in Steel Canyon, or speed limits in Skyway.

Just you wait; soon you'll see speed limit signs, where none have been before (in any zone).

But, we bled blood on round two: 1 hr, 18 minutes, 46 deaths!!!

I want to thank everybody for your support and kind words. The Horde means a lot to me, and I have recently altered my forum signature and avatar to include "forever" on them. I'm horrible at "goodbye" messages, but since I plan on popping in for free weekends and/or events, it shouldn't really be goodbye. We've already had many discussions about my departure for weeks now, so all that's left that I can really say at this point is that you will all truly be missed, and I wish you luck. I hope you all accomplish your goals and enjoy your time here. I certainly did, thanks to all of you.

    See you soon!

  15. Myrdinn's toon: Ecru, is a rad/rad defender.
All commentary (other than the name) is welcome on the toon's design (he's going to be a bot/clockwork/steampunk/cyborg type).

And, something storywise is tickling the back of miah brain. Need to hit the wiki.
(Prior to the creation of PI, random story elements had office space for Portal corp. to be in Steel Canyon. Trying to remember the arcs/etc... vas always just the generic office layout, but something's tickling something about something with SC and those chatlogs.)

Slightly harder, too. Still, fun :-)

Giant flowers. Comes from another world wherein the Devouring Earth's early experiments involved hemp plants... thus turning the whole world a bit hippy. You must defeat them and pick their flowers for an apology bouquet between Cleo and Praetor... wait, said too much.

Must go back to forum cloaking.
  21. Updated, and annoying news: I will not be able to be there for the Saturday night run; looks like the restaurant that is being reserved for my mother's birthday is not open on Sunday. Therefore, the rest of the family just voted to move her b-day party to Saturday night.

My apologies. I will keep the Saturday post updated, and fill-in a Sunday one if folks are interested.

FYI: the forum patrol here runs a monday night series of TFs; the next round starts at the end of April or early June (I think).

So, welcome back, and keep an eye out here for those announcements! (Luna usually posts them)
  23. Edit: remove me, turns out, I need to go to a birthday celebration I hadn't planned on attending.
  24. Updated, and thanks for the Thursday night run!
