I'll be there Wednesday; although, I might login right at the start. I get home just before it starts ;-)
Edit: with ze Kheld. -
I will try very hard to be here tomorrow with Childe.
-
Will also be there.
Will also work on a client side mod showing my... clients... as mobs. Eventually. -
I have that grav/kin I'd like to see leveled up, before I completely give up on the concept. Plus a Kheld I've allowed to languish at 40 for far too long...

Quote:Synonym?Actually, if they go down the 'third faction' route (ie. rogues have separate currency, markets etc), what will they call Rogue's inf? Anyone know a third synonym for reputation that starts with "inf"?
No.
But... how about, oh... inflection, informal, import, hegemony? -
Quote:Nah. In fact, I'm of the opinion, most villains ARE smarter than the average hero. The fact that you use Batman as your example make me cackle. The man with no powers who won't even pack a gun to fight mobsters and villains who can maim and kill in their sleep...Ah me.
Heroes are so very...very...brilliant from your point of view I assume. The only reason that most Super-Heroes are not mouldering in their graves is that writers constantly invoke that blasted Literary convention, Deus Ex Machina so that "Good" can prevail and the commericially driven media can continue, despite having their protagonists in a hole that they cannot believably escape from without destroying the minute fractal of suspension of disbelief they had to begin with.
Doesn't stop them from usually not teaming up... and, well. "Good" folks do team up in the microcosm conflicts. This usually results in "bad" getting contained.
"Good" being defined by and as the winners... the ones that cooperate long enough to form societies and the baseline by which such matters are determined.
Also... you do know I'm not the author, right? That's just a thought exercise I've thought funny, and fairly relevant, to the conversation. Where's your math? -
Quote:"Many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view."*Yawn*
You all are a bunch of peasants. Evil will always triumph because Good is dumb.
Why ebil may not triumph. -
Had an extremely interesting chemistry professor for an 8 am chem class back in the day. He'd randomly say "bacon" mid chemistry lecture just to see if folks were awake.

Quote:Freedom was the original Prime. I've got a screenshot around here, somewhere. But, at first there was Prime, then it went to; oh, Virtue, Guardian, and another one. Then it went to the end of beta list that had six. From what I've heard, when the game was in Beta, it only had one server. As a result that one server (Freedom or Virtue, I believe) had a head start on population.
Found the screenie: Click here.
Virtue was the name-reservation (and thus, became the RP server thereafter by accord at the end of beta) server (until a mess-up right at the last moment).
/still annoyed at the mess-up. Only server wherein someone stole "myrdinn" from me, because they cleared it during the name-reserve fiasco -
Quote:Haha; no worries!lol,
Honestly, I have a song lyric stuck in my head.... Something by Lucious Jackson (doing a Debbie Harry tribute song) where they are singing "Fantastic Fabuloso" and that's where the word came from!
But be weary of me, I like to make up words -
Quote:Not to mention the gravity holds; both of them basically looked at my blue bar, laughed manically, and slurped away.He is referring to Siphon Speed which increases his character's movement & recharge speed while slowing movement/recharge on the target.
However, it does not increase end...
And if he was using the standard Transfusion, Siphon Power & Siphon Speed chain - not counting any attacks - end issues would be prevalent...
Such is life in the lower levels. -

Quote:Started at level 13 last night; he's a 19 now.At pre-stamina and pre-SO levels, the endurance usage of that set is insane. I remember having to rest after *EVERY* mob!
The kinetic heal is a pretty good one at mid to upper levels, mainly because it's an accuracy based heal, so you get a boost to it versus area of effect heals.
So what level was your toon naturally? On my friend list it was showing you as 17 or 18ish I think.....
If it was too low for SO's, then that's a huge part of your problem right there.
Okay, I treated last night as a cool run, and a chance to see if the toon would be effective for TFs... if I were to repeat Posi on him, with SOs, wouldn't those be leveled out of effectiveness?
Thus, the grav/kin toon may not be something to use, for the horde runs. Trying to branch out a bit, and have toons that fit any situation, for any combo, for the future
Edit-> constant rests: no joke. I don't remember taking the knee that many times... ever. Got to where I was watching Paragon and MB; anytime they were together, I rested (if the rest was recharged). Only way I had even a smidgen of blue most of the TF. Popped blues instantly, too. :-S -
Quote:End heavy is an understatement. I *did* have sb (or, I had the movement power where I snag speed off a foe); forgoed a second powerpool choices to (I thought) maximize his abilities (recall friend, sprint, and didn't get either teleport OR health). No, I wouldn't disagree.
My only experience is with Dark Willow: Grav/Psi Dominator & I do love playing around with some of the powers like Wormhole & Lift, but the holds are definitely not up to Ice or Mind standards. They are also a bit end heavy if I remember correctly.
My area holds hit most of the time, and, if I had a full bar, actually did fairly well. But, the buffs from Kin didn't buff enough at that level, nor heal enough, to make it worth the offset of the Grav set. Plus, one group basically ran me dry of end; up until the end was dead, the power refresh/etc was good... but, ran me dry.
Hrm. I'm going to have to look at that character long and hard, and go back over my combat logs this weekend.
I've had that character shelved for years... but he may end up with the SR/MA toon: on the shelf until a power pass is made (which makes him an easy target for deletion). -
Could have been worse.
... I so totally need to figure out what I'm doing wrong with that 'troller. Was using last night as a dry run to see if he'd be any good for the next round; now I'm all paranoid.
(Might stick to a tank or pistoleer blasty!) -
I'll bring Childe (dark/dark corr) along!
(Natzi-smash TF/SFs? I'll be to every one I can possibly be) -
Since this isn't a Mo attempt, I can switch over to my corr (dark/dark) or kheld too, if needed for balancing.
(I prefer the blaster, but I *can* switch, and the Kheld could use the xp) -
Quote:Aye. The ambushes spawn everywhere there are mobs throughout the map. That's why some of them take a weird time to get to the room; there is a timer for the spawns, but they spawn at one of the points and travel. If I'm not mistaken, the one time I did this SF, some of the ambushes *did* spawn in the main room, not just from the hallway. They just appeared suddenly beside you.
Traveltime of an ambush is: (whatever the interval between a spawn cycle) + traveltime from the spawn point that was activated.
Essentially, you clear that map's spawn points slightly more than twice (lieuy ambushes are extra). Well, from what I've seen, anyway... haven't tracked down all the lieuy ambush origins, so I'm not certain if they count into the total number of end-room ambushes. Just happens that the ambush spawns all run to the Bison Bathroom and Shower of Doom (with Guns!).
Still trying to figure out the math on the ambush spawn size, though. -
Make a ring that glitters, glows, and otherwise looks shiny and mystical/technological. Travel around the universe and arrest intergalactic bad guys. Laugh at folks who try to steal the ring...

Quote:I'm certain we can help test/etc. the third mission. :-)Aw, my official J-Man arc is only 2 missions long
I gotta work on the third mission that is you joining the J-Force while they raid top tens base ....
Plus, the wording is "First Annual"....
/ebilLaughOfDoom -
Aye, looking for a rematch.
Hrm; we might want to pair dom/corrs during a run, for the ambushes if there is not a stalker in the mix. Just one pair, to help a brute/damage dealer with the ambushes (end mission), and have the other five pound away. Not a "always just look for ambushes" but more like "when one hits, take a minute, slide over, pull off the temps, the lock down, and the aoe... heal the brute, switch back to Bison." -
Quote:"Evil dimension keeping you oppressed? Join the Calamitous Bankers Guild of Intent! We of the CBaGIt are here to free the Praetorians of their overlords and open a new capitalistic venture enterprise dedicated to multidimensional item trading and the truly Grey market! Act fast, and your rogue or vigilante can smuggle... or liberate... enhancements from all sides! Profit, capitalism, and the multidimensional Pirate, erm, Privateer Way!"Got my fingers crossed for a way to transfer items between factions.
It's not available red-side? Buy it blueside, transfer it over, make millions!
Actually, pretty much any scheme here would revolve around 'transfer it from blue to red, make millions'.
That should say something to the devs about the inadequate market interface and concentration of the embedded base. Then again, I'm just a customer. What do I know, right? :P
Suddenly, Praetoria (or some other dimension) becomes a freeport universe specializing in trade.
Wonder if that means Praetoria Paragon becomes a Mos Eisley, Freeport, or Port Royale of the multidimensional sort amongst the various sides and factions in such a lore system. -

Whoho! I should be home and stuff this Saturday!
(wait, crap, depressed slightly)
I'll be there with Myrdinn or any other toon you want.
