Hey all I have been on a good roll for doms the last little while so I am trying out a new build. The problem seems to be a little tricky cause I am trying for the perma dom but with not having massive end issues. I slapped a build together and see how it goes, it looks ok on paper, but I am not sure. I am keeping the one purp set right now cause that might be the max amount of funds I will be tossing out (LoTG's though merits).
So here is the build I got, tear it up all you like.

Quote:Use the Green LineOne of the reasons I like villain side is it's so easy to get from place to place because ouroborus takes you to almost every zone. This is not the case for hero side. Hero side has a lot more zones so in order for it to be as convenient as villain side you have to give the hero ouroborus more options. One of the reasons I don't like task forces is because of how much running there is from place to place because you can't ouroborus there.
In b4 use base portal. The point of ouroborus is convenience.
Use the Yellow Line
Use your Base teleporter
Use a WW teleporter insp/temp power
Use the mission teleporter
Use travel powers that you can pick up during the game!
I think that sums up the ways to travel through the zones. -
Very nice touch they all had, leaving their emotions out like that. The Tin Mage made me think that in sometime in the (near) future they will be a need for him again. Also reading these gives me new hope for a new TF/SF hell even a co-op.

I would be down with the Item pack also. I never got the chance cause I only heard about CoV when the first Valentine's Event was on. So it has always pained me not getting it. It is a bit of a pain to get in Eastern Canada. Also with mailing laws I cannot get this mailed from the states. So I would love to pay X amount of dollars for it.

Quote:Well I think they will care enough for the kids coming in to wrap them in to replace the people coming out. Hell even Disney, might but a bit of pressure (or guidance, or nothing) to keep certain ties in to the movies, and comics for more sales. Even the little changes rope kids into the comic series cause they relate to relevant events, and they want to learn more on the lore.I'm not sure Marvel really cares that much about tying their continuity to the movies anymore. When the last Hulk movie came out, I think the newest Hulk book that week was Skaar, Son of Hulk.
For a while, the X-Men had leather costumes in the comics to match the movies, then they went back to spandex.
Spider-Man shifted to organic web-shooters, then back to mechanical.
The Avengers are another matter. Most media of the last few years has focused on either the "classic" Avengers (Cap, Thor, and Iron Man, among others) or the Ultimate Avengers. And the classic Avengers haven't been in the comics for how long now? Though it does look like Siege is going to fix that, but still.
I am just looking at it from a person who has in depth in the deep lore that is Marvel. Like the new kids coming from the movies of Spiderman and wanting to pick up the comic now to read it. To boot I believe when Spiderman donned the black in Civil War, was around the time of Spidey-3. -
Quote:I fully agree with the points here. I will admit I have not been in depth comic book reader, I have been getting my history and old arcs in line through wikipedia, so more of the bad arcs that help me understand more of the bungles.Well here's the thing, to me a successful universal reboot needs to have the following:
1. Plan this well in advance.
2. Decide how it's going to happen
3. Plan for what will happen during and after, including but not limited to: casualties, rebirths, and timeline changes such as story changes, origin changes, characters being displaced in time or replaced.
4. Set definitive rules for continuity.
5. STICK WITH THE PLAN and don't say "to blazes with it" a few years later (Yes, DC i'm looking at you post first Crisis)
6. Include the ENTIRE universe don't just reboot core titles, example: only marvel's flagship titles got rebooted in ONSLAUGHT
From my first reboot experience is Ultimatum. I still felt they took certain things overboard and blew continuity out the window for the future sense. While they have dropped pretty much to only two ultimates comics, what is going to happen when F4 puts out a new movie and they want a comic series that ties in with it, or even X-men?
Or the finest example Ultimate Avengers. With a Thor movie coming up and him being in the Avengers film there might be the push to get him in to the Ultimate universe again, which will mean a retcon for him.
While they had it all planned out in advanced it was poorly designed for the feet up, and it does not follow any plan, all it followed was how much "silly" can they put in. -
Dark/therm is an interesting beast. It is amazing on teams with the +res and -to hit. You can call it a late bloomer for soloing with heat exhaustion and melt armor coming late in the set.
I have tested a lot of the powers in the set, and I would say I did not have need for Dark Pit or Life Drain. With warmth it was enough for me to keep my health bar up.
For a while I keep dark blast out of my chain but with a rebuild I put it in and it is nice to have, but it is all up to taste. Your bread and butter of the Dark Blast is TT and NF. These two are sweet for AOE goodness. So go with an AOE chain, this dishing is nice. I hope this helps a bit, if you have any more questions I can try to help. -
While I totally agree that they need to do a reboot of their universe. Then I think of the Ultimatum story arc, and cringe and fume on the crap that it brought to the field.

Thanks for some of the opinions and thoughts, I pulled out a new build I might try, it seems fun, but I am not sure. It is perma-dom and perma hasten(just barely). So what do you guys think?

Good day all, I got me a Mind/elec dom, that has been a the shelf for a little while now and I am wanting to get back into the swing of it.
I am planning to do a respec of him to tighten up the build since, when I was playing him I felt it kinda mish mashed in his 30's.
So any help would be great I will try to make the build as he is now, but I will be going off memory. -
Quote:Oh yes heavens me I must be wrong, since I am seeing a well populated server on off hours, as I spread my propaganda to the masses of the forums. You just know me so well that I cannot hide anything from you false bile. And for Panzerwaffen: Gee ya think peoples are just posting "Server empty" to mess with you? No they are posting it because this because it is true.
For Mylia: Of course the dev's have said everything is great, right along with you. Its Propoganda. They are not going to say anything contrary. Duh...
Also the people that complain are completely lazy and cannot find people by just using broadcast. Please I have asked you twice for actual information on player loss, and you show nothing, so to me everything your are spewing is nothing but propaganda to fuel you own "ambitions". -
Quote:First off, you should truly shut it now after your lude opinion. I have been on Triumph for close to 4 years on and off. I have only seen it "yellow" load a couple times. Guess what though, server load means jack. They have upgraded their servers several times so your point is moot. This isn't some minor changed that anyone might have missed. Even Triumph for example use to go Yellow (Server Load) from time to time during "regular game play". Not any more... Not for a long time now.
You can not possibly have missed the drops in population. You just can't, there are far too many peoples that have left.
You simply refuse to acknowledge the hugh drop in population.
I am Starting to believe that guys like you and Samuel are company hacks trying to tell everyone that "ALL IS GOOD" There just just doesn't seem to be any other explanation to your comments about the population on the servers NOT dropping.
This is just propaganda you guys are typing. Plain and simple.
I have noticed population dips and rises. From the information we got and what the devs have said everything is fine. Subs are up and this is a STABLE community. This has been brought up all the time for misinformed people and it is always shot down by common sense.
To prove this I asked you to show me proof of a declining population. I do mean hard facts on this and you only show opinion and gnashing teeth. So everything you been spraying sound like a broken record to the rest of us.
Finally please call me a spin doctor again, maybe if you keep saying that Paragon might start paying me for something stupid as your calling it. People give you sounds reason as your giving so if you want to have a conversation, bring facts to back up your lame claims.
