Plus anyone who actually liked The Last Airbender movie (Plebeians that they'd be), would not really have any attachment to the name Avatar, anyway. They'd know the series as The Last Airbender. Its a ploy to evade a potentially crippling lawsuit and appeal to a larger audiance at the same time. unfortunately necessary.
I don't think the series will suffer for a minor name change. ... as long as Mr. M Night Shamafail stays out of it. -

Why not call it just Avatar: Legend of Korra? It's more consistent with the previous series.
Wasn't really their choice. I've heard rumors they got a call saying they would be sued if they tried to use Avatar in thier title. Pretty solid reason to not do it if you ask me. I wouldn't want James Cameron to sue me. -
I also play to make a return to the game here now that work has settled down from the holidays. I logged in tonight to see if i could catch anyone but I think I missed the time frame. Ah well. Plan to be there next week. You guys didn't even kick me from the supergroup after like... forever and a day. Was pleasantly surprised by that.

OK, When I first open up CoH and I click next then agree, I get an error: Your card or driver doesn't support GL_ARB_multitexture followed by Your card or driver doesn't support GL_ARB_texture_compression. I'm running an Nvidia GTS 250 with the 197.45 drivers which nvidia tells me are the latest. Its odd because I've played CoH before with this same card and the same drivers. The error didn't show up until I'd updated by BIOS earlier this week. Any ideas?

Ugh. So, I've been having issues with my Windows 7 crashing since I built the new PC and as I tried to log in to meet ya'll for the weekly get together... it crashes. Well, I reboot and open up CoX to play annnnnd... verifying files. 190M of it... and CoX refuses to verify any faster than molasses on a January day soooo, long story short I don't think I'll make it ingame this week. Joy.

Well... good news. I got the parts for my computer. Bad news. Not only did my motherboard go on my old computer go but the one they sent me in the mail was scrap, too. I dunno what my deal is with these things but I'm batting a billion with them. -_-
I've overnight-ed one to me and... it shoulda been here today but g'bless newegg it didn't actually get through that whole processing bit until well after the deadline for overnights (And by well over I mean put in order at 10am Thursday morning and the order was finally charged at 1:40am Friday) I've never had such bad service from these guys before but... assuming this board isn't scrap, I'll be around soon. Heck, I'm not giving a date as that was what probably jinxed my order. -_-

As an update: My computer parts should be in tomorrow so I *may* be around Thursday night. Maybe. If not I definitely will see you all next week.

Hey guys. Know I disapeared but... that's cause my computer gave out on me and because of an issue with my taxes... my refund still hasn't come in and am currently waiting on the money to build the new rig. I just wanted to let ya'll know I didn't ditch ya. Ugh. the computer I'm using now is a... well... we'll leave it as 512mb ram.

Well, laundry done, house is clean. I didn't get dinner made until late but I did end up getting to bed on time. Which was good. Productive, if boring day on my end.
