Why is it no matter what the question is, someone answers with a "market is the key" answer?
[/ QUOTE ] Why is it you care so much?
[ QUOTE ]
Maybe not everyone wants to play that aspect of the game
[/ QUOTE ] Then don't
[ QUOTE ]
I have hundreds of millions and all i do is sell on the market the drops that i get.
[/ QUOTE ] Nobody cares.
[ QUOTE ]
I'm not or not going to be a "marketeer" and alot of others feel the same way.
[/ QUOTE ] Again, nobody cares.
You see, we know you for what you are. Anti-market. Which is fine, but that means you have no credibility when you come into random threads ranting. -

Shout out to DR. Janis on Guardian server who;
Is level 50
Has no SB...I repeat has no SB
Reasons; "It doesnt fit into my purple set scheme". "But I'm a fast healer"
. Four team wipes later..."I'll go get my tank"....three team wipes later...."Mission is hard". Perfect example of a PLed Lazy kins with no SB. Mind you we had a Rock tank and fire scrapper on team...So there went the dps. Fulcrum workeds "only when it wants to". Horrible player.
[/ QUOTE ] Blaming seven team wipes on one person has got to be the stupidest thing I have read on the forums all week. By a mile. If the team wiped that many times, then it was a crappy team. Every single member of the team shares responsibility.
Also, I don't take SB on my kins(one of which is about to get deleted), and I don't take heal other on my emps. And if that pisses off one of my teammates, guess what? They get kicked and my team blows through missions anyways.
It actually works out real well for me. I get good xp, have fun, and weed out all the tools that I come across. -
Nihillii, are you a newbie? I certainly never got that impression. You know what you're talking about too much for me to think that.

My favorite is DM/SR. Siphon life is amazing.

Energy Aura Stalkers can skip Stamina; I just like the Fitness pool anyway for QoL. It's a fairly loose secondary for essentials, but Overload is mostly wasted because of the hp cap.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm gonna go with Elec/Nin for this one, but I think I'm also gonna make an Energy/Energy Stalker. It looks like fun. Even if I don't take stamina, I'll still be taking hurdle to pair with Combat Jumping. I usually don't play melee characters without the combo. -
Thanks for the info, I really appreciate it. I'm not sure yet if I'll be doing a lot of out of hide combat, I imagine I'll figure that out as I go.
-
The simple fact is TF teams are still going on. You just need to use the tools available to you. Ad_Astra gave some suggestions. If you choose not to use them, that is your problem.
-
The epic power pools add resistance in their shields. Corruptors still don't have access to fire resist, but the rest seem to be covered.

Your little Task Force group is probably exclusive (badge farming?) so other people cannot get in.

So what is the general opinion of Energy Aura?
And what is the general opinion between Charged Brawl and Havoc Punch? I'll take them both early on so I have attacks, but should I respec out of one later? -

Vista is buggy enough with just a mouse and keyboard.
[/ QUOTE ] Not any worse than XP. -
So I'm getting ready to make a stalker for the first time in a long time and I can't decide between a few options.
For primary I'm looking at either Energy or Electric. What's the advantage of each one? Just glancing at them, it appears Elec is more AoE and Energy is more ST.
For secondary I'm having trouble deciding between Energy Aura and Ninjitsu. It appears from my reading of the forums that Ninjitsu is pretty popular. I assume because of all the neat toys you get and the ability to soft cap, although the def debuff resist isn't as high as SR correct? Energy Aura doesn't look too tough to soft cap either, but it has a psi damage hole correct? Also, would skipping stamina be easy to do for Energy Aura?
I will probably solo a vast majority of the time, teaming mainly for Strike Forces. PvP isn't a big concern for me.
Thanks ahead of time for all the help! -
I can't really disagree. Both melee ATs can be replaced pretty damn easy.

The space is more than a little constraining, but I can offer the digests in tweet format.

Without going into the numbers, those sound like reasonable suggestions. As it stands right now, the STF is the only thing in the game in which a tank is on my priority list when I'm forming teams. I'm not saying tanks are bad or that I won't take one, just that they can become irrelevant quite easily on a decent/good team.
[/ QUOTE ]
Any AT can become irrelevant on a good team.
I've been on controllers, defenders, blasters, scrappers, brutes, stalkers, peacebringers, masterminds, corruptors, dominators, and widows where I could go AFK with no noticeable change in mission speed.
ANY AT can be made unessential on a good team. Damage, and Buffs can be wasted just as easily as defense.
[/ QUOTE ] True, but it's easiest to replace tanks IMO. -

For a boss killer anything will work, just pick what you find fun. Spines will be the worst ST DPS. Fire and Dark are generally considered the best.
If you're not wanting to spend a bunch of influence, I think fire would probably be the number one choice. -

Any critter that is capable of dropping a level 50 IO has a chance to drop a "Purple".
[/ QUOTE ]
Basically if you can get level 50 drops from it, you can get purple recipes. Green conning enemies are the best to farm since you can kill them faster than even level and higher. -

"Perma 46" is an exploit of the "no xp" feature in the game.
