    OP:

What you call morals and values appear to be nothing more than a bigoted, ultra conservative, narrow minded and shallow view on life. And hateful to boot.

Take your 'morals and values', your money and your kids that will certainly grow up warped with you as a parent and go play someplace that we don't have to listen to you.

    Thanks.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Wow, saying ultra conservative the way you did. Makes you sound like you might have issues with ultra conservatives (not all ultra conservatives have a problem with cross dressers...ect).

[/ QUOTE ] True, but when someone uses the term ultra conservative Sean Hannity pops into my head. I'm guessing the person you quoted was thinking somebody like that.

plz explain more on how standing up for what i believe and keeping morals and values intact

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thank you for conflating cross-dressing with immorality. That is incredibly bigoted.

Also, you calling someone out on "sexism" and calling troll is comedy gold. For the record, Mulan dressing up as a man (which she did- and by your definition, would that not be cross-dressing?) was because of the limitations of the time period. Yes of course women can be soldiers- they couldn't in China in ~581 AD (I don't know exactly when Mulan is supposed to be set, so if I get that wrong, apologies). You making a sexism argument there is absolutely mindboggling.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hmmm...donm't know if I'd go that far. To him cross dressing can be immoral.

That does not make him bigoted.

[/ QUOTE ] Sure it does. To some people a white person marrying a black person is immoral. That is bigoted too.
  3. Yeah when I did Posi I actually switched to my roommates Arch/MM about three quarters way and it went a lot smoother for me.
  4. KithDPine, good points. However, I will point out that is ok to make fun of Canadians.
  5. [ QUOTE ]
Also its not just me but society has a whole shuns cross dressing. like it or not but im not the minority but the majority in society.

[/ QUOTE ] That's actually not relevant. Majority of society used to believe in segregation too. And most people use to also believe that men are inherently better than women(in pretty much every way). So your using the masses as justification for your ignorance doesn't actually help your point.

edit: Also, I'm not convinced that the majority of people think cross dressing is wrong. Sure, many people probably do think it is odd, but that isn't the same thing as thinking it is immoral.

This might be the dumbest thread I have ever read.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I would say sry for actually having morals and values but i would be lying. But if you want you kids to cross dress whither in game or in Rl thats not my call. I for one dont want it.

Whats wrong with allowing gender bending to apply to all character slots and not just one? There would be no issue at that point

[/ QUOTE ] The issue would be people like you deciding for everybody else what is and isn't allowed based on your 'morals' alone. That is a big issue.

Also, I'm not a parent(and I don't want to be a parent at any point), but if I did have a kid all I would care about is him/her being happy. If that meant leading an "alternative lifestyle(for lack of better term)" then I would be 100% ok with it.
  8. OK, I'll bite.

    [ QUOTE ]
personally i have no 'feeling' i need to work out about transgenders as you put it but i dont think cross dressing is appropriate for a game that my children or any1s child might and do play.

[/ QUOTE ] You have no 'feeling', yet you don't like it. Makes sense.

    [ QUOTE ]
whats wrong with making it so if you do change from a male to female or visa versa it applies to all character slots not just one.

[/ QUOTE ] What if someone doesn't want all their costumes to be the same sex?

    [ QUOTE ]
Thous saying its acceptable to cross dress to young teens.

[/ QUOTE ] Who the [censored] are you to tell me if something like that is ok? You can tell your kids whatever you want. If you don't think the game is appropriate for them, don't let them play it. That simple. But for you to think a game should limit everyone's choice because you don't like something is intolerant and ignorant.

Besides, what kind of backwards thinking 'person' prescribes to that kind of thinking in current times(that's a rhetorical question, I know what kind of people think like that).

    A Teaming Badge

    [ QUOTE ]
    [ QUOTE ]
Why do we need any extra incentive to team? We already get more xp teaming(over time, not per kill) than playing solo.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I like to think of this as less of an "incentive" to team and more as a reward for doing so. There are already badges for just about every other subset of the game community. Most of those badges are really nothing more than niftys with no real effect on game play. Why not one for teaming?

[/ QUOTE ] I have no problem with the suggestion. I was just wondering why we need any extra incentive to team.
  10. <QR>

This might be the dumbest thread I have ever read.
  11. So to get easy merits I solo Task Forces a couple times a week. What I do is start the TF with my roommates and my accounts(4 total), then log off everyone except MunkiLord(DM/SR). When I get to the last mission I log them all back in and have the extras doorsit for the merits.

I typically solo either Synapse or Citadel as they seem to be the easiest. With that character Positron is difficult for me even when the TF is just set for two people. I did Sister Psyche once but the Freakshow liked to run a lot and it pissed me off. The damn Paragon Protectors in the Manticore TF annoyed me as well. I haven't attempted to solo Numina yet, but I doubt it would be too difficult. Just annoying because of the zone hopping.

So what Task Forces do you prefer to solo, and why?

Can the Market Teleporter temp power please be changed to only use a charge if it actually goes off? Right now it uses a charge even if it is interrupted, which is very annoying. Thank you...

    [/ QUOTE ]

The devs pretty much don't tend to answer here.
So, maybe I can try to answer for them . . .

    Can they tweak that? Maybe.
    Will they? . . . . . . . . Maybe.
Do they have a reason for the way it is now? Maybe.

In the mean time, now that we know this, what should we do?
Try to avoid situations that might interrupt it,
    so you can avoid annoyance.

    .

[/ QUOTE ]Actually, I don't believe they can, because all interruptible powers have to pay their costs to activate, whether they're completed or not (see also snipes, assassin's strikes, LRM, Physician day job power, medicine pool)

[/ QUOTE ] The WW transporter you pay for doesn't go away if you get interrupted.

  14. [ QUOTE ]

I don't have much sympathy for people who make careless mistakes like that, especially since they added commas to the market interface way back when.

[/ QUOTE ] You fail at life.
  15. [ QUOTE ]
True, but it'd help understand why it's not feasible (possible, yes - feasible? Most likely not) to have a bug-free game, or how fixing stuff isn't as easy as it looks on the outside.

[/ QUOTE ] I agree, a bug free game just isn't possible. But if a bug is irritating enough, people should complain about it until it gets fixed. How difficult it is shouldn't really be a factor. I think power customization is a good example of this. Assuming we are getting this in i16, that is a lot of work that had to be done and is still being done to get it to work. If people didn't keep wanting this and keep asking for it does anybody think we would have got it anyways? After all, why do all that work if there isn't demand for it?

    [ QUOTE ]
I don't know a lot about building a house, but what I know about both physics, architecture, and construction both tell me that it's damn hard to do it (provided you can get the paperwork to start the project in the first place), and not have at least one or two problems crop up at some point.

[/ QUOTE ] True, but as a renter you expect the landlord to fix major problems when they come up, regardless of how difficult or expensive it is. And if you are having a house built for you, you would expect the builder to fix and handle what other problems come up. Regardless of how difficult it would be for them.

    edit:

    [ QUOTE ]
EDIT: And while it could have been pointed out better (Oh, the forums we post in!), the OP still hasn't exactly been the most level-headed, polite, or understanding person about it when it was brought up. (I was tempted to use the term 'ignorant little twerp' somewhere in there, but found it contrary to my goal here and a little more rude then I felt like being. However, not quite rude or contrary enough not to go on record as being considered.)

    [/ QUOTE ] I couldn't agree more.

    My point is

    Standard Code Rant

If you can't understand anything about programs, how they work, how they're coded, and how complicated even the most simple program really is, then your demands that "all bugs must be fixed NAO" can not be taken seriously.

    Therefor, I dismiss it.

    Discussion ended.

[/ QUOTE ] Don't be dumb. He doesn't need to know a damn thing about programming to want bugs fixed.

[/ QUOTE ]"Wanting bugs fixed" is hardly what he was doing. He was ranting, that's it.

[/ QUOTE ] Either way, the OP's programming knowledge isn't relevant in any way.

Rose as a child star from a broken home,
    Lived as a man-boy superstar,
Remembered more for inappropriate Peter Pan activities than for his brilliant music.
