Keep those bids coming!

    It's not too late to bid on some really awesome CoH swag in the auction. Click Here!

    Yes, even though it is working fine for me, I've been hearing that from a few people and saw the thread you posted on the Titan website.

    I don't know the solution either, but one thing TonyV had me do was clear my cohtitan.com and cit.cohtitan.com cookies in my browser. You might try that, then restart your browser and see if it helps. I'm definitely anxious to get people signed up for the Level-a-Thon.
  6. Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy the day!
  7. Current donations have reached $1062.00 plus an early $300 contribution not listed on the widgets, for a total of . . .

    $1362.00

    Happy Thanksgiving!

When I did a trace of it, it's trying to load this page with the following GET parameters:
    utm_source=newsletter_coh
    utm_medium=email
    utm_campaign=email_na_20111122
    utm_content=bonustime

    That particular combination of GET parameters isn't working; it's being redirected to a maintenance page. It looks like someone forgot to add the bonus time section to the news announcement page.
    The utm_ parameters in the GET are Google Analytics campaign parameters. They are used to filter traffic analytics by source, campaign, etc. So, this set would let them know that whoever visits via that link came from an email campaign, specifically the CoH newsletter, the one sent out to North America on 11/22/2011 about bonus time. You get the idea.

    So, those GET parameters are actually working. They are just not part of the visible page you get.
  9. We've got the perfect topic of conversation for your

    The first year we were listed as a silver sponsor for raising over $2500 for Child's Play. Gold sponsorship was over $5000 and I don't know the amount for platinum. We hit $4380 for Child's Play last year as well.

    The Child's Play website has recently undergone a revision and their new FAQ lists the silver, gold and platinum as 'corporate' sponsorships, so it may be that we don't fit the criteria for placement there. We'll just have to see about that!
  12. Quick update on the Level-a-Thon for interested folks.

    We've got everything ready to go, but there was a temporary snag with the Titan Network that they've been recovering from (read thread) and we want to be sure we've re-tested our Level-a-Thon code before we open it up for signups. So, please continue to save the weekend of December 9-11 and spread the word among the community.

    You're awesome and thanks!
  13. Yep, I hate it when I look really hard for something so I don't waste space on the boards, but end up posting because I couldn't figure it out...then immediately after posting figure out just what I needed.

    I actually HAD made a quick demo as you suggest, but was too tired to finish that line of inquiry last night. Found it instantly as soon as I remembered to look there. Then looked up the others I wanted in the Codex.

    EDIT: And thank you for the assists!

    In case anyone else looks and stumbles through here:

    OneShot GENERIC/LEVELUP11-20.FX Ding
    OneShot GENERIC/LEVELUP21-30.FX Ding
    OneShot GENERIC/LEVELUP31-40.FX Ding
    OneShot GENERIC/LEVELUP41-50.FX Ding
    OneShot GENERIC/LEVELUP50PLUS.FX Ding
  14. Can someone point me in the direction of the fx name(s) for the various levelup animations? I have looked in the CoH Codex, but don't know what I'm looking for exactly. Is it even an fx or am I looking at this wrong? I'm trying to catch a screenie of a lvl 50 levelup for a poster.

    Any info is appreciated

    We'll be posting full details for the Level-a-Thon this coming Monday. Mrs. W. and I are away at a conference until then.

    Essentially, there will be a signup form on the Real World Hero website and each participant will have a special url that will allow friends and family sponsor an amount per level. That page will also display your level progress during the event. And sponsors will receive an email afterward with your final level, their pledged amount, and a link to Real World Hero to make their donation.

    Hope that helps for now!

  17. I spoke too soon and forgot I have a gig booked for that evening. Mrs. Wentworth is quite upset that I won't be able to attend with her and the gang, so please distract her with oodles of fun! I will be with you in spirit and perhaps we can work a superhero song into our set.
  18. My dearest, Mrs. Wentworth.

    Through countless foes have I battled, across vast distances do I roam following you across servers to offer you the riches of my heart and hands. Empires will crumble to dust and heroics pass on into epic legend, but there are some precious things which live on immortal and immeasurable. Of these I am certain of two, our love for each other . . . and the interest due on your credit balance. Another pair of thigh-highs, really?

    With adoration,
    Mr. Wentworth
    Infinity Et al.
  19. Hi guys,

    We had planned for voting to take place via the Real World Hero website and that hasn't happened. My apologies on that, but we will award prizes to those that had entered prior to the deadline.

    We really appreciate the great entries submitted and wish that there had been more interest in the contest. I'll chalk it up to my own time constraints which kept me from promoting things better this year. Thankfully, the charity drive has remained a wonderful success and our gratitude goes out to you and all of the other players that made it so.

    By my tally, there were 9 costumes entered (counting Yydr's 2 Child's Play entries): 5 for Child's Play, 2 for Heifer International, and 1 each for Operation Gratitude and Donate Games. So, the only one that really requires some judging is the Child's Play entries. You are welcome to post your votes in this thread and we will add that to our own considerations, then announce the winners here in the thread tomorrow night (Jan 1st).

    I hope that this meets with approval of our entrants.

    Best regards and Happy New Year!
    Mr. Wentworth
  20. We couldn't ask for a better promoter. This looks great! Thank you for spreading the word.

    See you at the bottom of the slopes!
  21. The 2010 Real World Hero Charity Drive
    invites you to participate in the
    MAKE ME A SUPERHERO!
    Costume Design Contest

    The Real World Hero charity drive is in full swing already, but there is always room for more fun! We're supporting four charities this year: Child's Play, Donate Games, Operation Gratitude, and Heifer International. If you haven't yet heard about Real World Hero we invite you read the full details in our event thread here (http://bit.ly/rwh2010) and visit the Real World Hero website as well (http://realworldhero.com).

    Here comes the fun part! We're asking you to design what you think the iconic hero representative from any or all of the four charities might look like. For example, what would the hero representing Heifer International look like? How about the heroic benefactor of Child's Play? We know there are a bunch of creative costume designers in our community. We can't wait to see what you come up with! We're not limiting any costume pieces in this contest. Anything is fair game!

    If you'd like additional information about each of the four charities to help inspire your creativity, you can find more via these links:
    • Entrants will be required to submit a screenshot of their hero from the costume designer screen and send the *.costume file to us via email at info@realworldhero.com. Include your global handle in your email so that we can award prizes easily via in game email.
    • You are welcome to post a single hero design for your favorite charity, but those that want to go all out can post up to two costume ideas per charity, though you can only win once per charity.
    • We will accept entries posted to this thread through Midnight Eastern on Tuesday, December 28th.
    • Then starting on Wednesday, December 29th, we will have the costume entries posted on the Real World Hero website for voting.
    • Voting will be open from December 29th through Midnight Eastern on December 31st, New Year's Eve.
    • The winning costumes will be announced at the Real World Hero Celebration Ball to be held from 6:00pm-8:00pm PST on Saturday, January 1st, 2011 (location TBD). We will use them to outfit our guests from the charities that will appear as last year to offer their thanks to our community.
    -----

    First, second, and third place prizes will be awarded for each of the four charity costumes:
    • 1st place - 500 million inf -PLUS- use of their costume to represent the charity at our Real World Hero Celebration Ball on January 1st, 2011.
    • 2nd place - 250 million inf
    • 3rd place - 100 million inf
    (Prizes will be emailed to winners via global handle.)

    -----

    We hope this can be a fun and interesting way to participate in the Real World Hero charity drive. We are so proud of this wonderful community we share and the generosity of everyone! Can't wait to see what kinds of costumes you dream up!

    Best regards,

    Hey, Melanie! You should have your gold title now. Our lovely moderators have rediscovered the ability to award titles to characters that are offline. Now you won't have to worry about being unable to meet us in game.

    We'd love to thank you in 'person', of course, if we do get a chance to run into you. But at least you can be thanked via title. We really appreciate the generosity of you and all of the donors. Liberty is looking good in the chart. Go Liberty!

    Best regards,

  23. Did you scare everyone away, Aib? Or does everyone know about Real World Hero already? Let's hope for the latter!

    We're on Infinity tonight at 5:00pm PST (8:00pm EST) to award special gold titles to players that have donated to charity through Real World Hero. Your turn!

    Hope to see you there!
