  1. It would be nice to make redside a bit more relevant.

    The experiences that made me quit playing redside;

My favorite builds, built the best I could, all enh'd to the hilt, were constantly picked apart by enemies that chewed right through my defenses and resistances. In short, constant faceplanting soured the experience.

AE then Going Rogue changed that.

I could take my favorite builds and run blueside content with little problem. Not an easy mode, not a godbuild, not a cheatyface, something I could actually keep up with and enjoy.

My favorite builds are villain, however; blueside won out because redside couldn't accommodate the builds that I favored with survivable content.

For me, it's not about good or evil, or whatever the rest of the world is. It's about my playstyle and what I like to build.

I often wondered if it was just oversight or lack of development research into the builds I was playing, because at the time you could only make firebrutes on redside.

I was told by many a vet that it was the most challenging and painful builds to play because mainly of the enemy archetypes.

I saw that to hold true.

    Hello blueside.

the bug I found when we could decorate doorways was objects could be placed in rooms they didn't belong.

this wasn't a game killer until you relocated the entrance to your base.

Once that was done it was very easy to misplace your entrance portal outside of your construction zone, could not be fixed.

the result would be, someone loads into your base, and would fall...

    forever...

    and ever...

    amen....
  4. Questions for War Witch

Can we expect to see any base related love in the near future?

What is your opinion on a new map editor vs new base tools?

Have you been to The Twisted Burrow?
  5. you know those collapsing chaingun/rocket launchers I see in the lambda?

would love to have an entire powerset based off those!

edit: would also need a beam saber temp power
  6. *Opens fridge, looks around for base goodies, settles for burritos.

Allow me to present my thoughts on the few hours I grabbed before bed yesterday:
    1) Oh my God the new title music makes me feel all warm and fuzzy in my boy parts!
    2) I know no-one liked Galaxy City but....daaaaaaaamn. Bit harsh? The roleplayers didn't need to be hit with quite such a large stick. Perhaps we could have just destroyed the big statue they were congregating around. Or set up PPD with water cannons around it.
    3) Atlas looks just lovely now the city no longer has to spend money on Galaxy City. And new music again! BE STILL MY OVER EAGER BOY PARTS.
    4) I spent eighteen damn pounds splurging on Titan Weapons, Street Justice and costume sets. If everyone is doing that, it's no wonder the game is much more of a roaring success. It's a God damned lucky thing that Street Justice is hilariously awesome. Titan Weapons animates a bit too jerkily, I'll have to get used to it.
    5) What the hell is with the new 'spawn on top of your God damn head' World of Warcraft method? I hate that. I hate it. I will kill you. All of you. As soon as I escape this endless loop of spawning enemies.
    6) Three years and the Auction House hasn't changed. At all. All the prices are the same. Luck Charms are still mental, Spell Scrolls and Ancient Artifacts still around 25,000, Brass, Inanimate Carbon Rods and Boresights worthless. You'd think with how important the former three are to your first set/s of Invention Enhancements, that they'd have made them more common. Nope. Screw that! It's a good thing I still remember to save all that crap up for level 22.....even unlocking one of my ancient level fifties and transferring a pile of money isn't good enough for the crazy expense of full IOing when you have to buy luck charms.
    7) TRAVELS POWERS AT LEVEL 6. WHY WAS LIFE NOT ALWAYS LIKE THIS.
    Yeah.

Check out the new base editing tools/keys.

Select an object, Left shift, cntrl, alt keys.
  8. Love it!

Q: How possible would it be to make all jetpacks in the game as costume pieces?
  9. I'd trade all things sacred just to be able to HEAL THE REACTOR.

As it is, the environment does a D.O.T. to the reactor, un-healable damage.

Guess what happens if an enemy gets stuck under the reactor? <which seems to happen reliably now>

Guess what happens if a GM doesn't respond to your petition in a timely manner regarding this issue?

    That's right! You fail!

    All that time spent?

All that effort to get to the end?

    All that waiting?

    Wasted!
  10. I'm going to bring my rage here because I have no idea where else to take it.

because beta for i23 isn't open, I am going to rage.

    Bigtime. So here goes...

    Take THAT Paragon Studios!
  11. MrHassenpheffer

    Catalyst

I wouldn't mind being able to use them to buy other more useful things, such as converters.
  12. Very nice work!

don't give up, I want to see it finished!
  13. Any eta for open beta?

Has it been a "couple of days" ?

A couple still means two, right?

Actually, I'm thinking that since the devs are no longer granting level bumps <the reasoning is because there was nothing to test before i23 beta>and that a npc <dream doc?> has staff fighting... it's well been ready to go for quite some time.

on a more serious note: as of recent I have been having alot of issues dealing with loss, betrayal and downright tyranny. that's no joke. Iv'e also been put in a situation where I have had alot of people point out to me that despite all the grief I need to deal with, the business end of my situation has priority and with as many people that have been telling me, Posi I now tell you... get over it.

harsh, I know, but if I can get over my issues, so can you.

    clown summoning please.

From a buisness standpoint, there just isn't enough call for a clown powerset to make it a reality. To much effort, and not enough return.
    SHADDAP!

    Give me my talking furniture!

Screw the Liger, would rather have Clown Summoning be a real powerset.

I'll make you a deal. I'll buy the Liger pet at the same time I buy the Clown Summoning powerset (after the set is exhaustively tested on Beta to be as bug free as possible)... deal?

First, I love the cape. FOREVER.

Second, there is a market for things of the clown summoning/ alive furniture even it if is a vanity pet.

For feedback: There is a portion of the playerbase that totally digs odd-ball antics, Alice in Wonderland, Wizard of Oz, Labyrinth, Bed-knobs and Broomsticks, and Circus type material.

Those April fool's items are things people actually WANT.

    Including the fish!
  18. Hey , uh, Paragon Peeps, just a fyi

    Ligers are REALLY FRIGGIN' HUGE!

I really like this Liger thing and even tho I cant justify buying a vanity pert, unless of course it WAS a vanity... I am tempted to buy this because it's a strange thing.
  19. I'm so glad I didn't make that connection, because I'd never do that to a 2 year old child.

One of the first things I noticed as well.

Still, it's fun if you don't take it seriously.

I also noticed how the speaker was saying "no recording" ... and there was recording anyway.

I shared my experience, there's no hype behind it, it doesn't change who I am or deeply impact my life whatsoever. I'm not out in the streets screaming "omg alieeenzzzz" or hammering hotdogs into the cracks of the pavement.

I had an encounter, it was unexpected, strange, awesome and fun.

If I had it to do all over again I'd be sure to say thank you for the memory.

  22. Ok so, if we are really concerned about any real doom then here it is, or at least the closest thing to it.

That's something to worry about if you are into that sort of thing.

Personally I think the end of this world will be brought about when my God becomes angry over this game shutting down and thus me not having any more base updates, and in THAT case this will happen:

    You have been warned.

His ideas are just that. Ideas. Theories.

his take on ET's are not based on experiences, or at least he isn't saying anything about it.

Me? I'm sharing an actual experience.

If his version of ET's are out there they weren't the ones we encountered.

Maybe he is just taking a military point of view instead of a civilian and I can see how the existence of ET's would pose a "threat" ... to the -military-

Because from what I -experienced- they would be absolutely powerless and unable to use mindless destruction in their favor.

Like a child on a short leash.

Whats that old saying about military and intelligence?
