I can do the wings. Strappy shoes might be an issue. I think I have some sandles I can add a heel to. =P One its one pixel wide, you don't get many options. =P

    [/ QUOTE ]

Totally understandable . I love that the wings are big and looming.

These have all been great. I love that you can look at your micros and puzzle out the original costume very clearly. You've repreatedly captured the essence. How are you doing towards reaching your funds goal? Still looking for more orders at all?
  2. We need a smiley with a wider grin . Love the beauty spot .

She wearing the strappy shoes rather than the heels. Also she's sporting the burned wings (a little tattered). Not sure if you can work that in.

Great piece by JCSD - congrats!!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thanks, Ether. He's a little tricky to pay (have to wire transfer rather than paypal), but so, so worth it. If folks are thinking about having a piece done, you might look him up ([u]after[u] I get one more ).

    O.O wah! WOW

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah. Pretty much what I said when he sent it . I've asked for maybe 3 miniscule changes, but this is gonna be money WELL spent. Look at those feathers - that's just crazy.

(Mmm. Disgea. I have a friend whose MM has pets named Prinny 1, 2, etc. ...They explode...)

    Wow. Quite the collection.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thank you . I've had some good luck lately with requests. I've seen some of yours in my searching. I liked your battle card .
  6. Ok, I think we have officially broken the DANG-barrier and moved out into DAAYYYAAAM-space!
  7. Nice . I like your no fear effort to do the lighting and reflections on the face from having glowing eyes. I don't think I've ever seen someone try to work that in before, and it is cool .

I drew the skirt as a tight miniskirt, pretty much the same as it appeared in the ref. I did show the piece to Memphis_Bill, and he didn't have a problem with the skirt, or the way it clung. His character, so I figure he knows how he wants it to look, y'know?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Absolutely. Just an observation from a different mind's eye.

As for line weights, I'll try to keep that in mind in the future!

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm certain we'll be seeing more of your work here .

    Xanatos Art Gallery

A gallery of all the fanart I've received for Xanatos. Many thanks to all the artists who've drawn him.

    The linked gallery is locked.
  10. That IS a nice piece . The soft golden hues on her are very well done and the form and figure are excellent.

I would add two technical comments. You have good use of line weight in the background (especially in the foliage at the bottom) but virtually none on the central figure. Adding it would help the colors really pop, especially in a relatively low-light, sharply defined point-source scene like this. The other is the drape and hang of the mini-skirt is strangely... clingy.

Looking forward to seeing more of your work !
  11. Heh. Too bad you can't attach more than one to any single account. I know, I preordered from several different stores and tested out the codes myself. Irksome.

    Wow... Is right.... also.... DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANG!!!!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah. 'Dang' sums up nicely. I'm hoping to get a second piece from him after that. He's coloring that one right now so there should be an update in a few days .

What an awesome collection you have going so far. So many great pieces, congrats on them all!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thank you. It's been good fun. I just found the complete piece that your avatar comes from. That's a wonderful image .

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess villian.

Or a hero the cops are a little scared to work with. One of the two .

"Remain calm, ensign. What is the contact's velocity?"

"It appears to be closing at almost exactly 1 second per second, captain."

Thank you for the comment I trully appreciate it!

Yep that hand did give me problems and the fact that you are pointing it out just confirms what I thought. I will have to find a good book about hands one day.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hands really are demanding, but a mirror is sometimes sufficient to see the geometry. IMO, the outer two fingers are fine in your picture. The middle two need to show more of a gradual transition of arc- the index finger not quite straight on at the viewer (as it and the pointer are now), the ring finger a little less angled than the pinky beyond it. The net result should be a natural spread. What you have is close .

    Help please :)

*fingers now poised over the Prt Scr button, waiting for the next ding...*
  19. That is a great first effort .

Those guides look genuinely useful, but practice is (always) the biggest part. But if you catch the bug, you'll need to create, not just want to.
  20. I think it demonstrates how important basic technique is for shading, depth, and texture. The redrawn peices all share the base profile to a very precise degree (and really, the originals show the artists had very clear ideas of the -defining- features in their vision). The expanded version pop with what are very fundamental tools.

    Help please :)

    It does!?!?!! *boggles*

Very nice. Good line work. Needs a little attention on the fingers of her left hand (right side to viewer), but that's an incredibly hard angle to do convincingly, so points awarded for a solid attempt.
  23. Um, wow!

That turned out rather better than I expected from the quick description I provided .
