Perhaps one of the best things I've seen come out of this art forum.

The Guide to BURN
I didnt give them permission to redraw my art
That is REALLY neat!!!
WOW neat stuff, I have tons of stuff my kids draw that I wish I could transform like that, Very, very cool!
What I like is that kids sometimes think they cant draw, but then if you show them with a little imagination, what can be created from almost anything, THATS where it all lies. Good stuff!
Some of these look terrifying as hell. The one by Terry Wolfinger has scary eyes.
Very Monster Engine.

I think it demonstrates how important basic technique is for shading, depth, and texture. The redrawn peices all share the base profile to a very precise degree (and really, the originals show the artists had very clear ideas of the -defining- features in their vision). The expanded version pop with what are very fundamental tools.
They should've done a time-lapse on a couple of them as 'speed-paintings.' That would rock.
...you're really not that far off of something amazing.
