I'm kind of running out of cool ideas, so I'm going to start a series on dystopias to try to focus a bit more. -

This is my newest character, a spines/dark scrapper named Annullo Circulos. She was a former CoT thorn wielder who became unpossessed in a magical disaster (due to the intervention of a hero). The same disaster shattered and grotesquely mutated the spirit thorn in her and caused her to start almost uncontrollably manifest the said thorn as well as the negative energies contained within them. Is now registered as a hero on the advice of MAGI in order to try to find some way to get rid of the unpleasant side effects of her freedom.
Day 5
Milestone! This marks the longest time I have ever committed to something! Including promises, pledges, and marriages.
That's right. With an "s" at the end.
PS, I'm kidding. Only one failed marriage so far.

Day 4
I uhh, was going for a sort of "end boss" executing an incompetent minion sort of thing, but she didn't end up looking "evil" enough. Didn't want to mess with the face too much to try to make her seem more evil though, since I didn't want to mess up something I think looked pretty good, even if it wasn't what I was aiming for. -

K, so now I claim this thread to try and get in the habit of drawing more stuff. The CoH board is as good as any to put this crap, and therefore, here is my crap :P
Day 1
This is one of my characters, and Elec/Elec brute called Electric Hand. I also have a SS/Fire version called Devastating Hand. I went for a sort of Film Noir look to it since I just watched the Maltese Falcon and was sort of inspired. -
You need to read some patch notes every once in awhile. MoG is no longer totally retarded.

Angry_Citizen made a thread about finding the Anger Monument a few weeks back IIRC, so we surmise that any of the IoPs can be spawned in the Shadow Shard.

I played for ~3 hours Friday night, ~6 hours on Saturday and ~8 hours on Sunday. For about 2/3rds of that time, I was in a group of 4-8 players, the rest being spent duo or a very small amount of soloing time.
For all of that, I gained 2 levels on a Brute (23-25), 1 Level on a Controller (14-15) and 13 levels on a Defender (19-32.)
I did not do any task forces, and did almost none of my own missions, spending most of the time sidekicked to level 38-40ish mentors doing their missions (My SG was trying to get a bunch of characters to 39 for the Eden Trial.)
Overall, I had a lot of fun...can't wait to do it again!

You forgot to mention Fitness in your power pools section. Most people know why you want it, but you might want to put it in for the sake of completeness.

Yeah, I found that working on the computer was unforgiving as hell. I used photoshop since the beginning, and there are no neat cheap tricks I can use (well, that I knew/was willing to use). With charcoal and oil paints and such, there is built in texture that you can modify rather easily, and the small bumps and "imperfections" make something that would ordinarily be boring much more interesting looking. All you get in photoshop is a smooth solid stroke.

First of all, something that has nothing to do with digital art, that is, Anatomy. You need to work on it a bit more (don't we all
). The illustration is stylized, so I will only point out the truly weird stuff, since I know that you aren't going for the ultra realistic look.
The left arm, as you mentioned, was awkward. The bicep is too low and too "short". Biceps take up more of the length of the arm. Also, it is connected to that shoulder muscle (can't remember what its called, tricep?). The other arm is also a little off. It seems "bent" to the right, and also rather flat and smooth.
Here is a lame painting of some of the anatomy.
The torso is too long. If I recall correctly (I don't actually check when I draw people anymore, since I'm lazy as hell) a human should be 7 head lengths tall. So the torso should be around 2.5-3 head lengths long.
So that's about it. I actually really like the look you have going here. It looks very professional and the lines are very well done. Don't be discouraged by the wall of text I just threw at you. -
Oh wait, so its less skillful to have to react quickly and hit a BF (which still allows you to get hit) than to react quickly and hit Placate?
Also, a blaster at 70% would do a lol amount of extra damage from defiance. Defiance only really kicks in full at around 90%.
Placate should be fixed, but please use valid reasons to support this fix.
