  1. I don't have any money but I can mail you a scorpion if you want one...

Seriously, this is an excellent cause and I wish you all the best. Crohn's is a scary scary thing and any one who is helping to get more research done is a true hero in my book.
  2. I've actually got a character built around collecting and using every temp power I can get,
Swiss-Army Wife. She's one of my favorites.
  3. Welcome to Virtue!
Please remember to feed your local catgirls (but not in public, think of your reputation man!)
  4. While I may not have known him, I have met many dear friends here and I would be crushed to lose any of them. My prayers and sympathies to his friends and family.
  5. I am so very sorry you guys get hit with the hurricanes but please excuse me if I pray for more of them.
Texas has had a drought since last summer. My lawn crunches when I walk on it and we're not allowed to water. I have sun-dried tomatoes ON THE VINE.
    PLEASE SEND US YOUR RAIN!
  6. Did you make it yet? I've got a 48 brute who can help push if you need.
  7. I swear it's English, but the whole communication thing just isn't happening.
  8. Scrappers, scrapper, I loves me some scrappers!
In fact, it really doesn't matter what the AT is, I'm going to play it like it's a scrapper.
Yes, I do come with my own set of warning labels, why do you ask?

Though some may be having "fun" with that, I don't think anonymous negative (and sometimes downright nasty) comments are conducive to maintaining civility throughout the entire board community.
I was going to make this point but it looks like it was made already for me.
  10. I've had static teams that worked well and RP teams that worked well. On the one memorable occasion that I had a static RP team it worked well until personal OOC drama met up with random Real Life schedules and BOOOOM!

The only time I'd consider doing such a thing again would be with a single writer (GM)-type who knew what the end was supposed to be and was able to steer a little. It would make the group size limited but would create goals that we all could enjoy.

Also, I got very bored with trying to come up with ways to explain my characters' absence and way she knew (or didn't know) the information everyone else got in the last session. I'm sure that sucked the fun out of it for other people too. So I'd make sure to plan for that sort of thing before I jumped in.

    Hey devs!

I also agree that Dark_Respite would be an excellent addition to the NC Marketing Team. Her work is solid, easy to enjoy, displays the product well and doesn't make me want to yell at my screen. I can't say the same for the "official" videos all the time.

The "money where your mouth" is point is also well taken. If we want to enjoy the happy stuff, we ought to pay for it.

Thanks for all your hard work D_R!

This is a perfectly good reason to take a short break. Don't be gone too long though.
    And congratulations
  13. I don't know when the DJ's dropped, but I got to bed about 2:30am. Thanks for the madness guys!

This bit, from Steelclaw, sums it up.
  15. Maynia you are totally awesome! Thanks again!

    Wtb rp

Smurch is correct. You can also sometimes start RP or find it with people responding to NPCs. It doesn't have to a pre-planned story. Sometimes it's just talking back to the game where other people can get in on the conversation

He said I should have reported the first guy, and quit the team, and that I should have just ignored the chatter in the CC.
I think you are all right. And I appreciate the support, as well as the rather gentle suggestions on which points I really should just "let go".
And next time, I promise not to "feed the trolls" *grins*

I'm glad you felt ok enough to come to the boards with this. Even more, I'm glad you learned a little bit in the process.
    Good Luck in the future.
  18. Ya know on Virtue we're trying to tone the D down some, not perk it up. Between the DJs, costume contests,dark-corner-drama, SG parties, and random invasions (you still don't fit in the bathroom Kronos Titan), you just never really have a dull moment.
  19. I need to go get some swimsuits on the girls!
  20. Joyeux would keep it. She likes cats
Konwakeri would ignore it after making sure it wasn't a danger of some kind.
Dream Razor would check to see if it was worth any money and then hand it to a random stranger
Quality of Mercy would use it as a food taster and to check for booby-traps

    Hi Virtue

I have never seen a game used as a fitness program before. I like it!
I'm going to swipe your idea, tinker with it, mutate it, and see if it'll get my housework done. Thanks!
  22. Hey Bill, when are you coming for lunch? We'll have...meat, probably.
  23. Nicely done! Next time warn me and I'll bring popcorn.
  24. I got Laughter's Ghost my new Ill/Emp from 4-12, but I think that was in about 20min. with lots of mapserves.
My brute Joyeux got from 43-48. I might have made 50 but the sheer number of disconnects in Grandville made it a little too frustrating to continue.
  25. How funny Vox! I have a Vox Stellarus somewhere.

My current favorite name has to be Laughter's Ghost, my Ill/Emp.
