Thought this'd get deleted anywhere else. Anyway, after a late start, we've finally got some activity. Wheeeee!

I'll have one to drink please. After Rita and Ike and the one that blew in in less than 24 hours I'm good.

No such chance. It's been 5 years since the trio, people have had just about enough time to forget.

Besides, there are two of them out there now.

Edit: oops, she already posted that. See I've forgotten already.

This is one of the reasons why I'm glad to live in Michigan. No 'canes. Although we pay out the *** come winter.

Hurricanes are the best way to chase Wild Turkey or Bacardi 151.

I'm near the corner of University and 13th, so we have 2 types of Hurricanes to hate.

Of course NAK reminds us of the 1 we all can love.

On a more serious note, I'm hoping that the delay in activity will provide us with some latent rain, but a relatively calm and safe conclusion to the season... in a couple months.

It's getting freaky out there now. TD 4 formed in the gulf.

I've never seen that before. I've seen them re-organize in the gulf but never form for the first time.

I thought that was a re-organized storm... huh, learn something new everyday.

Thanks Knight.

Actually we kind of understand that Yellow. We think of summer the way you think of winter. You just don't go out in it if you don't have to.

Now some of us enjoy being active in the heat just not to the point of being hospitalized.

8 PM update 8/16.

Life is a bit unpleasant in the Panhandle right now. Seriously wet and messy but maybe a good wake up call.

Ana seems to be DOA and good riddance.

Bill still scares me. Current track has it heading for the Atlantic coast. VA and the Carolinas time to test the generators, just in case.

Fox has a lot of maps, spaghetti models, sat images... all kinds of stuff. Most of the predictions for Bill have it staying in the ocean. Claudette hit the panhandle. Y'all take care up there. Ana is predicted to skirt the gulf coast... yippee... I'm near Apollo Beach.

I am so very sorry you guys get hit with the hurricanes but please excuse me if I pray for more of them.
Texas has had a drought since last summer. My lawn crunches when I walk on it and we're not allowed to water. I have sun-dried tomatoes ON THE VINE.
PLEASE SEND US YOUR RAIN!

No problem! I love standing at the window during a thunderstorm and raising my hands in time with lightning and thunder. Standing on the coast and blowing to push it toward you sounds fun too.

Why yes, my first character was a grav/storm and I do so love the storm set...
