  1. And people also forget that Crabs get access to VG as well, and it causes no redraw.

Banes of course get more, but it causes even more redraw.

    Question:

    Which pets would do better,

a Crab with 5 pets using VG, or a Bane with 2 pets using VG and Surveillance?

This is just a question that has been fiddling at my mind, and I'm to suckie at math to compute it
  2. Well, that is true I guess. I woudlnt delete my Poison either; making people and enemies puke is funny!

And my fears have been just been but on the Threatened Species list!

As I said in the prior discussion of this, I love the change. Not for anti-farming purposes, but because I -like- fighting bosses, and seeing them spawn when solo more than just the "scripted" bosses is awesome. If it is an anti-farming measure, it's the kind I can wholeheartedly approve of. One that doesn't screw over the honest players as well as the farmers.

    Spider/Bane??

    [ QUOTE ]

For a regular player like 10 feet, but for the Bane/Widows etc its like 110 feet i think

The snipes are longer ranged right?
  6. Mngwa

    Spider/Bane??

I never PvP with him during i12, so I can't comment on that.

Going Rouge is gonna be fun, being to see all the stalkers running around

Whats the max range you can see a capped stalker?
  7. Mngwa

    Spider/Bane??

Mine does alright in RV. Ranged build, with Shatter for a kiteable melee attack. Nothing special, just make sure you get the stealth IO. Banes have the highest stealth cap after stalkers.

Pretty much no defense though, so be prepared to get hit quite a bit. Good news is that with 2 Tactics, you can pretty much see everybody and hit pretty much anything.
  8. Sonic
    Rads
    Thermal
    Kin

    In this order.

    Now.

I'm just worried, that is MMs get Rad, Poison might become extinct. Anyone wanna put my fears on the path of extinction?
  9. Its super easy to come up with a concept with Necro/Dark, and they do have some synergy. 2 fear cones, 3 holds, 2 AoE debuffs, 2 AoE heals.(counting Dark Servent, and the Lich.) It's a very safe combination.

I've never tried /Pain, but from what others have said, it must be beastly!

Can't go wrong either way, as Bry said.

    I completely respect that Mngwa.

I would be totaly lying if I claimed to not be biased on the whole Heat vs Veat topic, but it completely ruffles my tentacles when people come into these things with the "Veats are obviously superior in design and effectiveness of play" philosophy, or worse yet the attempts to get the developers to change the Kheldians into another "Toggle it and forget it, immune to every type of status effect in game, Checkers level AT."

    [/ QUOTE ]

Veats are superior to Heats when it comes to teaming. They were designed around it, and do a very good job doing it. Its pretty much a given.

The devs made mistakes when they made the Heats, and when they started with the Veats, they learned from the mistakes. Toggle em up, and they are good to go. Some like it, some don't.

    [ QUOTE ]
Kheldians are Kheldians and should be played as such. Not yet another scrapper/tank/controller/blaster/defender knock off. We have our own style.
Thank you but no. I'll stick with Chess.

    [/ QUOTE ]

And Veats shouldn't be played like stalker/brute/dom/corr/mms either. They have their own style, same as Heats.

About the checkers thing, well, you aren't immune to everything. I died the other day on my softcapped Bane to even level Cims because they stacked a metric ton of defense debuffs before I could hop away. I'm sure a resist capped WS could have handled it easy, or a PB in LF.

Every character in this games takes strategy.

They are very similar now, no matter which way you cut it. In some aspects, Kheld>>>SoA, others, SoA>>>Kheld.

Just chose which one you want and tear open someones esophagus.
  13. Hallelujah!

Well, I can sleep easier tonight.
  14. I personaly like my SoA a bit more, while others prefer Kheld.

The buffs that they got not to long ago really evened them out, solo wise and team wise. It's when you start to stack the leadership toggles together that SoA start to take the lead while teaming.

I'm talking of a basic IO build. With IO's, they both start destroying gobs and gobs of mobs, even while solo.

    IMO of course.
  15. I'm just afraid that the devs will come out and say SoA and Khelds can't switch sides.

  16. [ QUOTE ]

I don't get it, you read what I write, and don't understand it? If I had to pick between one VEAT and one HEAT and I could only have one, I would personally take the HEAT because if played well they can fill in for whatever role the team needs. VEATs are... damage dealers. They go about it in different ways, and fortunas get some control too. But they are still damage dealers.

For the team of 7 blasters Turbo used as an example then I would definitely want a warshade. Would get another damage dealer, good crowd control, and the ability to tank if required without having to do an extreme build or dip into pool powers.

    [/ QUOTE ]

SoA might not be able to tank, but they can take point for the alpha fairly well. Crabs are arguably Tankerminds. Forts can lock down a spawn before they are even a threat. And if you are using a team with 7 Blasters, all the VEATs have to do is to survive the alpha, then the mob is pretty much dead anyway, assumming good player, decent builds, etc etc.

I think the only way a WS is gonna be a better tank is VS a AV, which it might not help anyway. The AVs gonna wipe the floor with a team with no debuffs, buffs, and controls.
  17. [ QUOTE ]

You see? No slotting issues, no forms to worry about, no worries about mez-protection, no worries about "what am I bringing to a team?", no worries about power-pool restrictions, no worries about APP/PPP... all in all, SoA's are much less frustrating, especially if you love God Mode toggles at Lv50.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I never said I had slotting issues, its just ALOT less than my PB.

I can concur with everything else

I was screwing around in the AE when I found this: Edit Standard Character.

So I decided to mess around a bit with some character groups until I stumbled upon the pet group. Yes, I was able to customize the Henchies MMs gets, except only the Tier 3 Henchmen.

I must say the Assault Bot looks GREAT in red.

    [/ QUOTE ]

  19. [ QUOTE ]
I don't get it... wasn't it already decided and agreed-on that VEATs were meant to be easier to handle, and less frustrating than HEATs?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I guess, I never though the Khelds were very frustrating, once you got past the "they have more power picks for each level" thing it was rather easy to pick powers.

But slotting....ugh that was brutal. Even more so than my SoA.
  20. Shes putting a 8 ft radius 2 mag stun against the controls a Fort gets.

    lolwut?

  21. I was actually addressing the Stalker version on ElA, on a Brute its decent, as they have LF to stack with Power Sink to help drain mobs of endurance. Stalkers don't get that.

Conserve Power is pretty useless on a Brute or a Stalker if you IO them out with +recov bonuses, Endurance reducers and Accolades for max end, though it could help in a tight spot. Without IOs, it does help, but it takes forever to recharge.

Lighting Reflexes is awesome. Simply put.

The Stalker version could use more help that the Brute version. Alot more.
  22. Haha, should have explained that it is the sux on stalkers, and that it is better on Brutes, although it could still use a buff.

    Woot for Edit Button!
