    How about Tsumi? (= sin/crime)

    Solo stinks

I solo on the standard difficulty level. I'm not in a big hurry to level.

On the other hand, you might find that increasing your difficulty much may not actually be all that worthwhile for leveling speed. At the lower settings you can tear through missions faster and pick up those nice mission completion bonuses all that more quickly.

But if you can find a sweet spot in your difficulty level where you can tear through missions quickly while still fighting more/tougher enemies, that would be best.

I just don't see the need for speed myself.
  5. Any multiple glowy click mission. I let them fail if timed, or auto-complete them otherwise.

Non-climax missions that require defeating elite bosses, especially if the EB is mentioned as an afterthought. "Oh, by the way, you'll also have to fight Silver Mantis. Good luck with that." I ususally auto-complete or intentionally fail such missions, unless I'm in the mood for them, which is rare. I don't mind an EB that is featured as the climax of an arc. I also don't mind a non-climax EB fight so much if NPC support is provided. (I've made exceptions for the Praetorian arcs with a few characters, to get the related accolade.)

For zone missions, my least favorite is the Rikti hunt in the Abandoned Sewer Network. I did that one twice before the auto-complete feature was added, and I now happily auto-complete it every time.

Does it qualify for this trope?

Or is it just mildly bad in it's non-good badness?
  7. 1. The Infinity Gauntlet
I actually wasn't that fond of Identity Crisis. It had some fairly jarring retcons, and had a formerly nice character become murderous for no apparent reason. Meanwhile, Thanos rules.

    2. Crisis on Infinite Earths
I haven't read any Vertigo titles in a very long time, because they just aren't my style. Y has no appeal to me. CoIE changed the face of DC Comics in a big way.

    3. Demon in a Bottle
Like Vertigo, the Sin City stuff has no appeal for me. Worse, I don't like Frank Miller's art. I wouldn't rate Demon in a Bottle all that high on the list, but I did enjoy the story.

    4. The Dark Phoenix Saga (X-Men [vol. 1] #129-138, 1980)
Claremont and Byrne. Some of my favorite times from the X-Men. The Action Comics story didn't really interest me much.

    5. Wolverine from 1982.
The old style Wolverine isn't high on my list, but it beats anything in Vertigo for me.

    6. Devil May Cry
I know the Killing Joke has a lot of popularity, and it should win this fight easily, but I'll give a pity vote to the manga.

    7. The Great Darkness Saga
This is really no contest for me.

    8. The Sinestro Corps War
I loved the Sinestro Corps War.

A big part of the reason for game sequels is the relentless advance of computer technology. Our favorite games get outdated. We want new versions of them with enchanced graphics and expanded capabilities. And it doesn't hurt to tell new stories with the same settings.

Often the disappointment comes when the update changes the gameplay mechanics we enjoyed rather than simply enhancing them.
  9. I think that Bond must lose this contest, simply because he's under contract to be captured, escape with the help of an attractive lady, and not disarm the device until the last second. Bruce or Tony would simply beat him to it.

I'd give the edge to Batman due to his detective skills, although I'd think he'd actually send Tony to defuse the bomb while he goes after the bad guys. (And while sending an attractive lady to help James out of the death trap.)
  10. I'm surprised Wildstorm lasted as long as it did. The standard Marvel and DC method is to buy up the rival superhero comics, change them, then kill them off when they inevitably lose popularity. Malibu and others have departed the same way.
  11. And now for something completely different.

Ranma 1/2: Martial Rhythmic Gymnastics (Vol. 2 Part 9 to Vol. 3 Part 5)

This is a six-chapter series in the Ranma 1/2 manga. Sure, only Ranma 1/2 fans will know what I'm talking about, but I just have to slip some manga into the mix.

With Spock and some shaky theory, Scotty invented a way to cold start the Enterprise's engines... which also created a short time warp.

And as for the list, having Tony Stark but not Reed Richards or Doctor Doom is full of fail.

  15. Believe it or not, the Will of the Earth mission used to be worse, with a much higher level Sentry popping up in some of the ambushes. And that purple lieutenant just kept chasing you...

I've been skipping that arc for a long time.
  16. The story that heavily changed the landscape of the DC Universe:

    Crisis on Infinite Earths

Aggh. So close. That was going to be my first pick if no one beat me to it.

    So instead I'll go with:

    The Infinity Gauntlet

  18. Nerima Girl is a martial artist... a Natural Brute with the Stone Melee primary. She has the strange ability to pull large mallets seemingly out of thin air. She makes good use of Air Superiority and the Sands of Mu veteran attack too. Oh, and she has the Energy Aura secondary, representing her ability to dodge attacks and her martial (chi-fueled) battle aura.

So... a Stone/Energy Brute who is a natural martial artist.
  19. It would definitely help to read Crisis on Infinite Earths, if you haven't already.

Oh good. I was worried there for a minute.

So are you saying that we can't draft a mini-series?

Just to nitpick, there have been plenty of series that lasted less than 13 issues.
  23. Hmm. Well, comics. It will probably be hard to come up with information links, which will make voting awkward. But I'll join.
