Play Pretorian from 1-20 then you can choose blue side when you get to 20. I liked thugs/dark best for MMs. Demons was fun too.

/Signed. I want a new co-op zone with all the amenities of vendors, crafting, consignment house, etc that is level 50 and up only where leagues can form. Give us a teleport power to enter it that you get at level 50 or a link to it from Ouroboros.

Personally I think the co-op zone is a good way to go. There are considerations that can't be addressed with the LFG system. A number of times I did a BAF because there was no Lambda available or vise versa. The LFG system is so slick it takes the interaction out of the equation completely which isn't always a good thing for a game that is at least partially social. I want to hear broadcasts of what leagues are forming. I want to enter the zone and see how likely it is for me to get a trial quickly by the number of people present. The LFG system is a huge black hole of information which explains why you can sit in it indefinately. They could improve it with stats of how many people are queued for what trials be even that doesn't address the social interaction of finding a league through the chat system in the same zone.

If not they can always "up" the bribe with more merits. = )

Quote:The issue isn't closed until we see how the 20.5 system works. There is still the option to form closed league which will need a place to gather. While greed will be a motivating factor for some I still see many Lambda Sector trials that don't bother with the merit bonus for dispatching 30 reinforcements during the final stage.20.5 will change that. PUG LFG will award more merits than private ones...Issue closed!!
If you can form your own league you have greater control of how may +3s are in it and the group make up. I think many will still want this control. Merit bonus is a poor reward if you fail the trial. I have seen noobs do all sorts of strange things on trials that cause them to fail, the foremost being not listening to the leader. -
Have you tried the LFG system? I have tried it numerous times on several servers and so far it has worked for me once. The rest of the time I sit in queue forever (until my patience runs out (min 20 minutes)). The way the system currently works is not conducive to the way players are forming trial teams. LFG only works when there are the minimum number of people in the queue to form a trial team. Teams that enter the queue with the minimum number, or higher, do not add misc queue list people into their teams. The one time it did work I can only assume the team had only the minimum number of players and someone failed to hit their enter trial button.
So since the player base tends to form teams that already have the minimum number why not make it easier for the accepted practice to thrive? Why not make a 50 only zone with the merchants, tailor, WW/BM, etc to make the process easier? While I understand the dev position that we should be using the LFG system, it simply does not work reliably with the current configuration. -
I'd like an Ouroboros type zone, honestly, but with all the trimmings.

On most of the servers I have played on its RWZ but Pocket D seems popular on the heavier population servers probably due to the size of the main room. Several times I have run into the problem where under 50 levels have sort of snuck onto the team and prevented the start of the trial, which is annoying. Also I'd like a merchant house available in the zone too which neither of those zones offer. I'd be fine with Pocket D having more merchant support though. Its a pain to have to zone to Talos to sell.

Has there been any talk by the devs of adding an incarnate launch zone where level 50s, of any alignment can go for trials? A zone with merchants, tailor, etc all there? Is this against the game design as it looks like they will be offering bonus for people using the LFG system in 20.5 so maybe they don't want people gathering even though its human nature.

Is there a command which allows me to have my thug pets only attack at range? I have tried some of the standard commands but they always end up moving in. This is mainly for incarnate trials where they are squishier than in regular missions.
-
1) Fire Ants - Fire ants sting your opponents legs causing minor damage and slowing movement dramatically.
2) Cocoon - Silk worms wrap your target in silk leaving him helpless.
3) Colony - A fire ant colony attacks the legs of multiple opponents causing minor damage and slowing movement dramatically.
4) Dance of the fireflies - Fireflies swarm a target causing is to become confused.
5) Scorpian Attack - Scorpians sting a target causing strong damage over time.
6) Cry of the Cicada - A swarm of cicada cause a targeted AoE stun and sonic damage.
7) Locust Loci - Locusts swarn a targetted area causing opponents to fall down.
8) Cocoons - Silk worms wrap up multiple targes in silk leaving them helpless.
9) Bee Swarm - You summon a swarm of bees. -
Started working on my 4th level 50 for incarnate trials with mixed unlocking results. I found that with Lambda I am unlocking Interface at 30-40% per run which I thought was awesome. Then I tried a BAF and got 7% of Judgement unlocked. How can a controller do better for unlock exp in BAF? I am a stone/storm controller. I am laying down my debuffs and using pets but as far as direct damage goes as a controller I seem pretty weak at 50 in the trials. Still trying to unlock my tier 3 alpha. Any advice?

I've only done them on Protector, Pinnacle and Champion and they are all usually in RWZ. It has everything you could want except the consignment house.
They should make an incarnate zone for trials like Ouroboros only with all the vendors, tailors, consignment house, black market, etc just for level 50s only (like the hero and villain level 50 clubs only as a coop zone). As they add more trials it may become problematic not to have a zone like that. I've actually been on 2 trials that we had a hard time starting because an under 50 level had snuck into the league without anyone noticing. It'd be nice to not have that issue crop up again.
So far I haven't seen much use of the LFG system. I did get into a trial early one that way but not since. You can sit in that queue forever on some servers. -
If you have a sonic primary do you generally slot for resistance at level 50 since you have the head start with Sonic Dispersion or do you go for ranged defense?
-
What is the consensus for slotting a level 50 blaster with IO sets? Do most go for defense or recharge or damage or something else?
-
With my current emp build mids shows my recharge time with spiritual core paragon as 100.99 for RA. I guess that's close enough.
-
With the addition of Alpha slot and the ability to make Hasten perma again would it be possible to make empathy RA perma also? Before ED I had my Emp with RA down for a short time I think it might have been 15-20 sec. I'd like to get back to that or better if possible.
-
I have been playing around with Mids to try to soft cap def on my FF/NGR defender but I am having trouble getting either all positional or all typed defense filled out. I would appreciate any help offered from those of you with a prediliction for build formulation. Would it require going rogue and taking Mace Mastery?

How do you get to the rare level. I have a common and uncommon muscularture but the recepies for the rare aren't showing up. Do we need create both uncommons (is that even possible) before crafting rare for that tree, is there something else we must do for the rare unlocks (another series of missions) or is that not implemented yet?

I popped 3 purples and it was pretty easy after that. It is a pretorian arc I was finishing at level 20. Wanted to complete it before leaving pretoria.

Static field is a must have for the solo Dom. I am not sure how good it works for the teaming Dom but for solo it makes the set at low levels. My typical attack is to hit your average threesome with jolting chain, then apply static field while they are down, then hold one and kill it and move to the next, etc. Once in a while you take a hit from a mob that wakes up so take out Lts first but otherwise I haven't had many problems. I don't tend to jack up my foe levels much though and this is only through level 20 so far but the deaths have been few and far between (mostly from EBs).

If you are having trouble playing a dominator it might be helpful to read the following guide on them. Doms take a certain amount of strategy. Active defense like a controller but no self buffing/healing/debuffing is really available.
