Emp perma RA?

With the addition of Alpha slot and the ability to make Hasten perma again would it be possible to make empathy RA perma also? Before ED I had my Emp with RA down for a short time I think it might have been 15-20 sec. I'd like to get back to that or better if possible.

Let's see. My empath has 208.8% global recharge between Hasten and bonuses; if I were to pick the Spiritual Core Paragon and three-slot it with level 50 Recharge IOs, it would take 113.6 seconds to recharge. So 90 seconds up, 23.6 seconds down.

If I were to really go crazy and six-slot RA with recharge IOs, it would recharge in 108.9 seconds; so 90 seconds up, 18.9 seconds down.

If I hit Geas of the Kind Ones for an extra 100% recharge, it recharges in 100 seconds. I don't think it's possible to get much closer than that.

I personally have it two-slotted and use the Musculature boost, so it recharges in 127.5 seconds; I don't feel it's necessary to make it recharge any faster.

Basically divide the base recharge time by 5. That's literally the max you're going to be able to get recharge time down to. And even that is going to take heroic measures (armies of kins and rads).

An IO Build with Spiritual can get the Regen/Recovery Aura's down to 100-105 seconds with Spiritual Core Paragon, or 105 - 110 seconds without. The recharge cap is 100 seconds.

Green Machine Dual Emp/Electric Sample Build - This build is not intended for solo play, but to be part of a duo. This version is pure recharge to leverage PBU and Short Circuit. My preference is more of a balance between defense and recharge, while pairing it with /Sonic Blast or /Ice Blast.

With my current emp build mids shows my recharge time with spiritual core paragon as 100.99 for RA. I guess that's close enough.

Yep since its a Green Machine build the Empath will be under a teammates AB at all times (assuming running at level 32+ ... and all the other goodies aren't making the emps lazy buggers ). What happens to my GM builds under those circumstances is crazy goodness. I also don't believe Linea meant that specific build had the recharge times mentioned in the paragraph above. In fact its Auras will be at the cap of 100 seconds if under the effects of AB, simulated as noted by Geas, while running a Spiritual Core Paragon. I took it to be more two separate comments on the effects on the Auras of a Spiritual boost combined with very high recharge builds in general.

Edit, PS: In the thread (in the RO forums) where this build was being discussed the build, like Leo's above, was actually intended to use a Musculature Radial Paragon boost. With PBU recharging in 50.5 seconds (cap is 48 seconds) very nasty things happen involving Short Circuit as the Musculature Radial Paragon also effects Endmod in addition to damage. Short Circuit in that build is self stacking while a single application under PBU hits the spawn with -200+% recovery, -100+ end drain and capped damage.

The Emp/Elec is the highest recharge build I have in my archives right now, and it gets there by being part of a duo.

We're all getting the same results, just in different ways, and with different sacrifices or conditions. If you're recharging near 130 no temps, no empowerments, no duo's, no spiritual, no day jobs, then you're very likely about as close to max as you'll get. I would guess the max to be around 195% global recharge. I'm not sure what I'd sacrifice in a build to get more, and I don't currently have an emp build in my archives with even that much recharge. The Emp/Elec can get close to 185 by changing SC's Slotting, but lacks the last power to try to Purple to reach 195. I'd have to play with either a different blast set or APP to get that one last purple power. And all that mucks up the entire concept of the build, the concept being a sapper.


If you want to recharge faster:
- Spiritual (about 10 seconds)
- Duo (about 30 seconds)
- Temps (about 30 seconds)
- Empowerments (About 10 seconds)
- Day Jobs (I don't recall)
- Gut your build for nothing but recharge. (About 10 seconds)

My personal preference is a duo, with more defense and less recharge. Add defense until each of the duo with fortitude is softcapped, and maybe a bit more. Then add recharge. My build is considerably less recharge than the Emp/Elec GM build. The Emp/Elec GM build has about as much recharge potential as any build that I would still consider playable without sacrificing other things, and it's going to have a raw recharge near 130 seconds. You can get that down to near 120 seconds with spiritual, but the build was built for Musculature Radial. In the duo, with an additional +100 recharge from it's partner ,it's going to be very close to the cap, with or without Spiritual. In the duo, you don't NEED nearly that much recharge, except to leverage PBU->SC or PBU->Aim->Nuke. But then if you or your partner are sapping every group, then defense is less important.

It's an example, if there's something in the example that might help you. Some power slotted differently, then use it. If you have a different build, another build, a better build, post it, I'll add it to my archives and next time someone asks, it might be your build that I use as an example.
