Hey guys, first off thanks to everyone that chimed in on my vista question the other day now for part two!

The case I'm getting has alot of fans in it, and reviewed as being rather loud, so I'm looking to get a fan controller/temp sensor it. Can anyone suggest something that works well and quite honestly looks decent? I've been all over xoxide, tiger, and newegg and the reviews are all so mixed that I don't know what to get...

any ideas would be much appreciated

have you run the hotfix? I had that problem when I put in my 9800 card but once th ehotfix that was it no more crash

Hmm what would you call a "severe hardware change"

as in mother board or something along those lines later on down the line?

I might just bite the bullet and get the full version just to be safe.

hmm my current one would be OEM too because it came stock with my gateway...

so what would you guys suggest? its a good $200 difference..

NOW another question, whats the deal with OEM DVDs?

On my machine now I'm running a 9800 gt but I'm pulling it out and putting it into the new machine i set up.

I'm not looking for a card to play the game on, as I said I'm going to be making my current comp into a video streamer in the living room for netflix and hulu, no gaming on that...

Thanks for the ideas... I'm running vista home prem 32 bit ATM and I have no complaints about it. I'm just looking around at different things out there right now. I'm not going to be building it tomorrow, I still have a month or two to mess around.

Altho I did see a package deal on tigerdirect for a vid card and 64 ultimate for about 210 bucks, not too bad... its a 9400. Like I said I'm just looking for something that'll let the wife stream her movies to the TV in the living room.

But looking at the combo of home premium and a vid card I think I may be making out better here....

hey guys I'm going to be building a new rig in the near future going to be running vista 64bit, now do I want ultimate edition or home premium?

I see some things listed for differences but not a big deal to me outside of about 70 bucks or so on tigerdirect.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

And before anyone starts saying how bad/evil/vile vista is, I have had no problems whatsoever on it with my current rig, and it is actually more stable than XP was on my previous computer.

Its about 9:10am EST and this is the 4th time that I've gotten the "cty of heroes has encountered a problem and needs to close" message every time I try to put something into the market

All my "toggle" powers are off just as a precaution after the 2nd crash....

anyone else running into this?

I have vista and my razer cipperhead works fine, no problems to how i have the buttons set up

then to the OP, I don't use the creative KB (just didn't care for them) but I do have a saitek cyborg with the macro keys and it depends on how you programed them originally.

The latest patch (or update dont remember) messed up some of my macro's I had universal search for cairn and some chat commands on my left keys, Those are all messed up right now.

My right keys i had powers but would program them a little funky. instead of a long drawn out thing (because with my KB it would be lets say

"{enter} powexec_name hover"

and would take a bit to type out automatically and was a pain I did it where it would just be an advanced macro of {alt}+h where the two were held down together with a .05 milisecond delay between them...

I would just put them around the keyboard with button combo's i would never really accidentally hit and I made out ok.

Maybe if you went at it this way?

All i can say is do NOT buy a BFG power supply...

their video cards are great but their PSU's suck bigtime. I have the 650 watt in my pc died on me 4 months after I bought it, they send another that wasn't working fresh out of the box, and now one died on my friday. I gave up and got an Antec, we shall see how it goes
