I just don't want all of this excellent reading to go to waste in the depths - it's great for people new to the MA. And if it can't be a sticky..

And, yeah, but here's hoping that he gets better soon, his were the best around.
    Bump!

I was playing Mummy (old white wolf game). Me and the rest of the group were riding around the mean streets of Jerusalem in our scythed charriot. Lo and behold, who should step out in front of us an an inoppotune moment? That's right. Jesus. We kinda accidently mowed him down. One of our group then had to masqurade as him for the next year.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hahahaha, oh man, I've never done PnP, but this is unheard of!
  3. Boxed game? Would that mean I would have to leave the house to get it?
  4. Hello, I don't speak French, but it appears Samuraiko did, and she has something to say to you guys.

    [ QUOTE ]

Her videos keep getting better and better

    [/ QUOTE ]

    True! However, I was asked by Samuraiko to post this for her;

    [ QUOTE ]
Thank you to everyone who enjoyed my video. I loved making it (even if I had to remake the entire thing in four days because of computer problems), and it means a lot to me when players appreciate my videos. And lastly, please don't hate me when I tell you that this is the last promotional video I will be making for CoH. I will still make videos using the CoH software, but unless Paragon Studios hires me (and I doubt they will do so), this is the last one that promotes the game itself.

They should just go ahead and hire her already.
  6. I wish I'd had the chance to play together with you ingame.

Here's for seeing you again some time in the future, GR!
  7. My name is not actually Midnight Guard, but hey, it sounds cool.

I'm a 41-month veteran, currently residing on the moon with no access to City of Heroes/Villains whatsoever, but I am rejoicing over every bit of news released.

Over the last few years, I've seen the developers become more and more caring to the fanbase, and I've definitely seen more love. From the developers, that is.

My account is still running because I want to contribute my money to the game that's kept me entertained for so long, inspired me to do so much, and helped me meet so many people. I love this game, and I will stay with it until the end.

Masterminds do actually lack their own attack powers, they can be difficult to manage (sometimes boring) and they also lack those important self buffing powers that all other AT's possess

    [/ QUOTE ]

    W.. Huh.. Huh?

  9. Midnight_Guard

    Theyre back.....

Lot of moaning going on. We just had the MA implemented, and I'm pretty sure that, judging from the current content information, it won't be long before it's out.

I'd say next to City of Villains' launch, i14 was probably the biggest issue, I mean, they literally had to split it apart to begin with!
Wait until i15 is actually out, then judge it by comparing its contents with how long it actually took.
  10. Freem T-shirt? Do want!

Just needs a Holy SuperSoaker T-shirt with "BUDDHA-BUDDHA-BUDDHA", or a Peacebringer "JESUS-JESUS-JESUS" now.

/e Poke any news yet ?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ou, Khorak right? Sup bud? Sorry, been pretty busy, and looks like I won't have CoX access after all.. for now, at least.

Empy will be in charge of the VG, so talk to him. Can probably arrange something. But yeah, the Six Sigma is up and going, officially or not - We Need You To Join!

  14. I've been waiting for this since I started playing, and have been daily sending ideas and pleads to the GMs through petitions about this.

    Finally, they listen!

Everyone, rejoice! The Golden Age is coming to CoX!
    I'm still cracking up
  15. The Rikti doll things in RWZ can be attacked, but take no damage, if you want to see how long your character can go at a single enemy, for example.
  16. [ QUOTE ]
You know what I miss? Patrols crouched over. I have no idea when it got fixed, but I realised today I don't see them anymore.

'Tis a shame, to be sure.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Me too! I never noticed it disappeared though..
  17. [ QUOTE ]
I'm curious why you didn't make a seperate thread for this VG

    [/ QUOTE ]

Awesome, we have interest! Will be doing that very soon when we've established some rules and misc. stuff, but it's still in Beta.

The VG is open for all levels, Inquisitor ranks as well, since it's a RPVG. Although it'd be nice if people would play a real character other than full-RPs for the sake of the VG.

Oh, and I've been slapped on the hand by the Sigma for being a bit too "WAGH WE'LL KILL YOU AND EAT YOUR INTESTINES ON TOAST" in the VG description.. It's all harmless RP, I promise!

The "evil" thing was pretty well put by the others - basically you're not doing anything "bad" in your own eyes.
The Six Sigma will take anyone in however, as long as they do what they're told to.

    [ QUOTE ]
The one thing is, your business is your own, if it isn't directly related to Six Sigma, don't expect us to pull you out of your own mess.

    [/ QUOTE ]
    That.

EDIT: I'd like to mention that we are looking for active, devoted players to fill out the Lunate spots. The Technologic Division Lunate is currently taken by Baron Eternity, but the Combat and Arcane Divisions' are open.
Combat Division's Lunate is the most active rank in the group, as that Lunate is playing a major role in recruitment.
Of course, the Inquisitors and the Sigma will all be there to help them out, we just expect that it'll be tough in the beginning.
Send me or EmperorLol a PM, or post here if you're interested!

    [ QUOTE ]
Due to some IC rules, players need to consider carefully if they really want to know what the Six Sigma is..

    [/ QUOTE ]

I actually feel really bad mentioning this but I just came off a Team Leading course at work and...

    Sorry....!

    [/ QUOTE ]

NO, NO, DON'T LISTEN TO HIM AAA

But yeah, the name and the way the leaders of the group seek to squeeze every little efficiency percentage out of the members is based on the six sigma business management strategy.
The motto will be something along the lines of "Failure once in 506,842,372 times."

Yay, someone wants to hear more, so forgive me for derailing this topic a tad.
The whole thing is still WIP, but I'll explain what we have settled on so far.

    Division Member
As I mentioned before, when you enter the group, you start out as a Division Member. Everyone starts out in the Combat Division, and may then move over to either the Arcane Division or Technologic Division.
This is only if your character is a mystic or scientist of some sort, who seek to better themselves through magic or technological means. I.e. using the facilities the Six Sigma offers.
Members may also stay a member of the Combat Division, if they find that they're better off just fighting with whatever abilities they have.

Each of these Divisions will be assigned small tasks once in a while by their Lunates. Think of them as chores. Assassination, salvaging some items, or maybe disrupting a ritual somewhere. The goal of these tasks usually depend on your Division.
While seemingly meaningless tasks, they are utterly confidential, and spilling information without permission will result in execution.
Division Members are allowed to resign from the Six Sigma after permission from their Lunate.

    Lunate
There is one Lunate per Division, and being one is somewhat tough. Lunates represent the whole Division, and if a member breaks a rule, it's up to the Lunate to discipline that member, lest the Inquisitors take the matter into their hands.
Lunates must also be present at all meetings, so players must be pretty active to have the position.
The tasks given to the Division Members are given by the Sigma himself, through the Inquisitors.
Lunates may also assign tasks to the Division Members for the sake of the Six Sigma, but these must be reported in to an Inquisitor first.

If one wants to become a Lunate, they will be put through some tests and trials, and asked if they really want to do this. Becoming Lunate means learning of the background and secrets of the Six Sigma, and as thus, there is no going back.
Members may hear of Lunates who've "resigned", but in the Six Sigma, "resigning" can mean mean two things; KIA, or betrayal and following execution. We simply cannot have people walking freely around the Rogue Isles with such valuable information about the Six Sigma.

If a Lunate is not promoted to Inquisitor during the process of a Division Member taking their position, they will become Division Members themselves. A Lunate demoted to Division Member will still be unable to leave the group, and will be watched slightly more than other members.
Usually in this case, the Lunate often becomes Inquisitor shortly after, after doing their best to prove themselves.

    Inquisitor
Inquisitors are bloodthirsty, evil, superhuman Arbiters with OCD and a license to kill.
Inquisitors are handpicked by the Sigma from the whole of the Six Sigma. To become one, you must have outstanding loyalty to the group, leadership attributes, and extraordinary fighting skills, as well as be able to keep secrets to your death for the Six Sigma.
Inquisitors are mostly former Lunates who were promoted when another took their position.
Inquisitors handle internal affairs in the group, and receive orders directly from the Sigma.
If an Inquisitor receives a mission from the Sigma, they may use any means necessary to complete it, and not even a Lunate may have a word in.

At the same time, they make sure everyone are abiding by the rules of the Six Sigma. "You break the rules, they break you." If a member has ticked off an Inquisitor when it's VG-related, Inquisitors are allowed to godmod, after giving the member some chances to redeem or excuse themselves.
I.e., they -will- break you, literally, if needed. Of course, even more the reason Inquisitors are very carefully picked, and don't think the players are actually godmodding [censored]s, since it's a rule for the Inquisitor to /tell the other player what they're going to do to them, as a final warning. Whatever happens to your character can be fixed or healed afterwards, too.

Architect missions regarding the Six Sigma
Since it's not out yet, and I'm kinda writing this from Japan, we don't know a whole lot about how we're going to do this.
Players -will- be allowed to fight an Inquisitor eventually, just because they are so overpowered.
We'll be looking for a way to make some MA arcs seem "real-time", by having a player have to obtain information IC that will allow them to complete a MA mission easier/correctly, to add in some extra fun.

    Uniforms
So far, Combat Division has been assigned the color blue, Arcane Division red, and Technologic Division green. Still slightly undecided.
Lunates will wear white clothes, and their Division's color, as well as a specific cape pattern representing the Division. Division Members are not required at any time to wear an uniform, but we're more than happy to "hand one out" to those who ask.

Inquisitors will wear black and purple, and Sigma is as of yet undecided.
The uniform itself is undecided, as we'd like to see how that "cloak" that's coming with the Magic Booster looks.

    That's all for now!
  19. Been working on a new RPVG with EmperorLol from the moon, does get pretty boring out here in the countryside..

Six Sigma, an organization that is willing to offer hospitality to outcasts of society for small errands.
Although Villains, the members of the group are more on the "branded evil" side, and have mostly just done things that weren't 'bad' in their eyes.

This new VG features an intuitive ranking system, where new players enter one of three 'Divisions', and either stay a Division Member, or try work their way up the ranks, finding out the secrets and background of the group.

We'll be using Mission Architect arcs for players who want to go for the rank above Division Member, which is captain of the Division (Named 'Lunate'. Cool, right? ).

Due to some IC rules, players need to consider carefully if they really want to know what the Six Sigma is.. "Only dead men can keep secrets."

We'll be launching this group officially when i14 hits live (We need the Super Leader rank for it to work), and please do speak up if you want to hear more, critique is always welcome.

    [ QUOTE ]
There's plenty of silly costume pieces, most notably the boxing outfit. It, to me, is not an adequate reason for it not to be given to men. Note, I'm not having a go at any players here, just wondering what reason the devs have for restricting it like this. And yeah, I am aware they make plenty of arbitrary decisions and they need not stick to logic if they don't want to.

    [/ QUOTE ]

A Dark Meleer with Boxing Gloves, Hasten, chaining Brawl, Shadow Punch, Smite, Boxing and occasionally Shadow Maul is awesome though.

New issue, new costume bugs. I fixed the ones I could between issues 12-13. One bug that has bothered everyone was VEAT female and their lovely butt cape. Well it has been added, sound the trumpets.
