I'd be interested in seeing the Fire/MM build
Have you looked into Water/MM? It's plausible, but come i24 Inferno wil likely be the superior nuke. -
Last I heard /MM is keeping Drain Psyche, so it will still be overpowered and the most suited secondary for a blasting farmer.

TBH/Seph, one purple soft caps all your positional defenses? Are you still planning on scrapping TBH for a fire/mm? This thread in no way relates to Brutes, I'm not looking for information regarding Brutes.

I've used my Arch/MM to farm for years, and it's quite succesful. After playing a Water Corrupter I've come to realize it has a lot of potential as a Blaster Farmer. Here's my quick build, mainly fitting as much recharge in as possible as well as soft-capping s/l. The farmer could farm AE Missions for tickets, or charge for farms. They could also purple farm pretty succesfully. Whirpool is my favorite thing about this.

I have Explosive, with the proc in it. And I also have Electrifying Fences
but it still isn't enough when facing bosses. Farming solo is a piece of cake though. Maybe I just need to lead with a Fences so I have time to apply a second before the scatter.

My long time Arch/MM Farmer needs a small update. I've found while farming people in S/L Caves or Labs that the mobs scatter too much, I was wondering if anyone has tried the Presence Pool with their Blasting Farmers and had success. I'm currently using the Hybrid Melee Taunt as well but it barely works. Could Provoke fix my problems?

Go Water/Storm. Great synergy. I do agree with Arkyaeon, a RES Shield would be more beneficial. The Power Pool's Temp Invul will more than soft-cap your S/L Res.

Here's the tentative final version. A few choices are personal ones, but it's a great looking build for a very affordable price. I stopped worrying about set bonuses as much and made each individual power effective. I realize the extra 8.5% Max End won't make too big a difference, but paired with Cardiac, Conserve Power, and Accolades, I'll never have to worry about End.

Hi,
I started to adjust your build but was making so many changes i just started over fresh. If I were to make another /Storm Corr, this is the one it would be.
Below is the build I would use, it is softcapped to smashing/lethal/energy and almost (41.1%) to ranged all without alphas taken into account. I would go agility alpha and clarion for this build.
Other highlights: 161.5% global recharge and 1259 hitpoints before accolades

I think you have over slotted for defence debuffing. Way overslotted for it. Your accuracy is good enough that you wont be missing often anyway. All you need to do is lead with an(unslotted for -def) freezing rain, and you will be able to hit everything in the spawn whenever you want. I would also highly recommend cardiac over spiritual. Your recharge is okay without it.
I took your build and pulled some of the -def from it, while maintaining your goals I believe. I am sure it can be improved upon.

I've taken a lot of the advice, and came up with this. Pretty inexpensive overall, a few exceptions. For my last power, I still have Acrobatics in. I have a few options, Acro..Assault..Power Build Up..Tactics. Opinions on which?

Well, you don't have Lightning Storm, which is a big endurance drain (although it is some impressive AoE damage as well) but my guess would be no, it won't solve your problems. I have a range soft capped (smash/lethal/energy res capped) Storm Defender with cardiac and conserve power, and I have seriously considered picking up Power Sink for additional Endurance Recovery.

If we could put the -KB Proc in Hurricane...I'd love it to death. Alas it does no damage. I like the idea of "tagging" a few enemies for the -tohit but I don't see any way in accomplishing that without spreading the entire mob which is not only countering my synergy, but the rest of the teams. You're very right about the AoE, and I like the idea of focusing more on slotting powers beneficially. I'll disregard Soft Capping AoE.

I'm fairly certain an Aqua Bolt with -Res Proc could lead to a better damage chain. You can stack Tidal much more consistently with it. For someone who uses Water Burst and Geyser for KD too, I like Bolt.
Also, the animation -
I have not played a Storm to 50, I do admit! And as my WB/Storm is almost 50 I'm realizing the end problem. My S/L Res is Soft Capped, so I don't feel like I need Force of Nature. I do hate crashes >.< And I've never taken a power like 'Conserve Power' because I feel I could save that power slot for something else, and just take Cardiac for my Alpha Slot. Do you think that would remedy my end problems? Also as a storm player, what is your opinion on Lightning Storm? Between dropping Freezing Rain, Whirlpool, and usually a Tornado, I don't normally have time to set up a Lightning Storm as well. Is it bread and butter of the set? Or am I right to skip it.

Aqua Bolt can do more dps...it has -Def, and builds full stock of tidal within a few seconds. I'm thinking that's the first Primary to pick people.

It became clear you were trying to make an inexpensive build, to which you did a pretty good job. The changes I've made to it will undoubtedly raise the price, but the toon is more solid. Soft-capped Smashing, Lethal, Energy, ALMOST Negative, and Ranged. Packed in quite a bit more recharge. Some of your power choices indicated you like the option to fight ranged or up-close. To compensate for this since I couldn't fit in more healthy of Melee Defenses you now have EMP Pulse. It's slotted for it's set bonuses and to actually see use. EMP+Choking Cloud+Decent Melee Defenses and Soft Capped S/L should make you formidable up close. Even if you need Whirlpool just drop it where you're standing. You elected to take Steam Spray and in my early opinion of Steam Spray it's all or nothing. I utilized the ATO set giving Steam Spray huge amounts of damage and a proc, this power is also best used up close. If you have end problems, take Cardiac. Let me know what you think and lets get the build ironed out!

Below is my work for a Water/Storm Corrupter. I set out to build for positional defenses, mainly due to Steamy Mist<3. Turns out I couldn't soft-cap ALL of them...but I got close. Ranged is soft-capped, and the others are all close to 40%. This is in addition to the many other defenses and soft-capped s/l resistance I included. I was able to fit in a healthy amount of recharge, regeneration, and status protection/resistance. I wish I could have slotted Geyser for damage :/ but the stun will be fun. As many of you Water players are quickly learning, the set has no bad power! Even the cone is good, though I elected to not take it. I like Storm due to it being mostly self-support and having the best debuff AoE imo! My Freezing Rain does -47% DEF yikes! I'd appreciate any and all input.
Anyone up to the task of trying to soft-cap all positional defenses (m/r/a) and soft-capping s/l res?

Years of PvEing behind me, I want to try PvPing. A few questions, is Zone or Arena easier starting off? I've chosen an Elec/Therm Corrupter to sap, is this a viable strategy? It seems so despite Elec being such a weak primary.
I'm working on the build. What are some obvious build necessities for a PvP toon? My understanding is +HP, +Def, +Acc, and +Dmg. -
If you're method is to drain Endurance, than absolutely go
Elec. Only take that power set if that's your goal. I'd only include Charged Bolts, Lighting Bolt, and Short Circuit into your attack chain though. Seeing as the set is so poor they're the only decent -End damage you get. I'm working on an Elec/Therm corrupter I'll post it when I'm done, if I can remember. Elec is such a crippled primary but necessary for a Sapper.
