  1. Light form definetly has a place in PVP. The main reason I use it (aside from the +end and +res) you don't suffer from going through power animations so you are constantly on the move and firing off blasts non stop (I took bolt and eyes and proc'ed them out.) The crash is a non issue if you have more than 100 end. I have 111 end on my PB and you only loose 100 end in the crash. So, pop a heal and your back in the game. Pop Geas if you want end back right away.

I'll disagree a bit here. Dwarf form for the heal and TP (as an escape) should always be taken. Then either take and slot out human form (lots of procs for bolt and eye) OR take nova and slot your human powers for HP and other bonuses.

Personally I like human with dwarf heal for my main PB build. As stated above it's expensive to build it right and you are not going to be even close to blaster damage. This is probably my favourite build/toon to play. I still get plenty of kills (solo) on it and it's certainly my most survivable toon. Lightform really makes human form alot of fun because you can ignore power animations and just fire and keep moving.

If you build around Nova (which would essentially be tri-form) you are going to have blaster level damage (with decent range)but you are going to be easier to spike and webnades or any other -fly (enough to get past 4.0) is going to irritate you. My second PB build focuses on Nova with 1738 HPs and it's fun but it's really clicky with all the form shifting (not so much with a human form + dwarf heal.)

    Hehe! Rectified recticle!
  4. Convenient is very much alive.

In fact, we have been doing double secret practice behind Philly's back so we can surprise her by winning the ladder that is but isn't.

We have a triple secret peacebringer lineup (that's right, not WS which everyone thought we would do) with no Emps that is going to destroy everything except our opponents. So be careful out there!

Also, Welcome to the Ladder (again?) GL HF!

If you don't want to bother with power animations (thus stopping every time you attack) then make a peacebringer and live in light form. You aren't going to kill anything but it's lulzy moving non stop and spamming attacks at the same time. Pew pew pew!

Wait is that an exploit? If it is I didn't recommend it and I don't do it.

It makes your opponent stand and fight like all Truwarrir! And who needs ranged attacks? Not Truwarrir! There is no pew pew pew when you have bif bam pow!

    Truwarrir ready!

Getting stamia wil mak an awsom breast, but an pvp toon stalker is not alwys to need stamia to be an always best breast. You are not always going to be an PVP toon on the ten count! You are the power!

  11. His would mostly be used for Arena PVP so not as much of a concern for end usage.

  13. Yeah I don't care if they admit they messed up. Just fix what they broke, at least then we could retain some PVPers instead of losing more and more every month.

    Kat/Sr Scrap

For fightclub it's pretty tough but you'll need aid self. Other than that, in zones you need to live in Elude pretty much.

However I am having some trouble consistently winning in duels. I mostly run into psi/ems, therms, some doms. A friend of mine suggested I swap concealment for medicine, as he says fire armor with the amount of recharge I have would be super hard to kill with HD off. He also believes I should go body epic for FA and LBE (hold proc + -resist proc).

I just wanted to hear what you guys thought.

As a side note I hate aidself, however if it is a must for a fire armor dueler I will learn to like it.

I'd stick with phase (you should have it if you don't) and take weapons mastery over body epic. Keeping your opponents grounded with webnades will be a step in the right direction. You can also take shuriken and proc it out for a ranged attack. Also be sure to have taunt for the -range, that helps alot when dueling ranged toons.

With the fast recharge heal, and phase you shouldn't be dying. That doesn't mean you are going to be winning, but you shouldn't be dying.

And yet I could not even knock them down let alone back. When I checked the info on the power itself, it said it was still only doing the base KB (around 16). When going through the Enhancement window, it said it was slotted up to around 45. But clearly, it was behaving as if it was only doing mag 16.

My question, then, is Power Push broken or do they scale back its mag in PvP to the baseline, making it unenhanceable?

That tank also has KB resistance (around 1000?) on top of his KB protection. Even if you get past his protection he can't be knocked around (this applies to a few toggles.) KB is also affected by DR.
  17. Transfer to Freedom. Clearly there is no PVP on Inifinity if you have to come here looking for fiteCLuBzoRz!
  18. This gets my vote. In fact, having all the zones free for all and/or CO-OP would be super awesome. There'd be no more lopsidedness.

WB at level 50 would also be cool, heck all of them would.

They'll be harder to kill than most tanks. (Though unfortunately you yourself are still pretty squishy.)

Edit: oh wait.... you were comparing Thugs/Trap with Bots/Trap (not thugs/trap with demons/trap)......... hmmm hard to say which is better, but the Protectors will put shields on you if you go bots, which probably helps in PVP to keep you alive.
Defense on an MM in PVP is just about worthless.

You'd be surprised how many people don't have enough KB protection so a fully slotted power thrust can come in quite handy. The set bonuses are good though, so it's usually a combination of both to six slot it.

Generally you won't see coordinated tactics by either side outside of individual team chat. Usually the only time anyhting like that happens is when an SG or group is going after AVs in RV. When that happens the group usually uses broadcast chat, but will sometimes set up a channel.

  24. Thanks Mean. I've got a thick skin so it's no harm no foul. I have never experienced the entire playerbase in a zone being randomly teleported but I have heard of such things.

I am told by a Mod that occasionally GMs WILL teleport players if they are stuck behind geometry. Where I farm it is possible they may consider this to be the case (even though I am perfectly targetable and attackable.) So that may be what is happening.

In any case, that would explain why it is being done. Not because it appears to be an AFK farm but because of a possible geometry situation. That still remains unclear but at least it appears it was not a direct attempt to disrupt a farm.

So my apologies to the GM team if this thread caused any undue stress.
