I have a good feeling it will be this:
The quest for the Spider Lantern will take you from the skyscrapers of Paragon City to a hidden jungle Arachnos base. It’s up to you to stop Lord Recluse from finding the lost Spider Lantern and uniting Arachnos for one deadly purpose. -
The way I understood it, I get to keep all the stuff I purchased, which includes the Costume Packs and extra toon slots.

Quote:I was wondering about this. Someone should crunch the numbers to see if going Premium, and then buying back everything you had as a subscriber makes more sense over time than staying subscribed. If someone doesn't really care about the free Paragon Points, then it probably does make more sense to go Premium.Judging by the comments being made, I have to wonder if everyone understood that if you are currently subscribed now, you will never fall into Play For Free status? If you chose to stop "subscribing/paying" you fall into Premium Player status. In other words, you retains 80-90% of what you have now...with out paying for it. Anything you do lose, can be recouped by a single, one time fee; after which you keep it even though you don't pay a monthly fee.

Quote:If you keep up your subscription you won't have to pay for any content, just new shinies if you want them. The only money making game in the NCSOFT portfolio and they are mucking it up... Insanity. I fully expect the victory community as it stands today will move to the VIP server at that point. I mean seriously this entire thing sounds like a bad idea for the people that have been paying for YEARS!!! and it looks like new content will be pay to unlock from now on. so we will have to pay twice. Its just pissing people off.
As for whether Victory will migrate to the VIP server, that remains to be seen. I don't see it happening right away at least, as there's nothing special about this new server except that it's restricted to VIPs. -

The next step is to rename the existing ATs. First up, Defenders will now be known as Healers.
-
There are three tiers, Free, Premium, and VIP. Since we are all currently subscribers we can never be less than Premium, and we will retain "almost everything" we purchased, but I'm not sure what isn't included.

They moved the first thread on this to a Sticky in the News & Annoucements section. Yes, we're going F2P.
-
Definite "thriving". No one has lasted for seven years because the F2P model isn't that old (not counting Asian F2P MMOs, which are supposed to be grindy-microtransactional hell).
I don't think our game will go away, but I hate being nickel and dimed. More players is always good, but how many of them are going to settle on Victory? The name of the freakin' *game* now has Freedom in it! We'll see what happens to that server when the floodgates open. -
Quote:It is the Way of the Future™, but I don't like being nickel and dimed.I have no experience with pay to play games. I also can't think of any that have really thrived. (and looking at the player choices grid, free players can't post to forum. .... Ha ha?)
Quote:Mental, you are my shepherd. Lead me to peace and love. I will follow.
How many people are going to move to the VIP only server? -

FREEDOM!
It had to happen eventually, but damn...
EDIT: ZOMG Paragon Points?! NOOOOOoooooo!
You did it, Jack, you finally did it! What a world, what a world, what a world!
DOUBLE EDIT: Monthly Story Arcs? We're just copying that other game... the Student has truly become the Master! -
IN... need a few more shards (and some components) to get my first T4 Alpha!

Caught a midnight showing last night. I enjoyed it thoroughly. E.T. meets Cloverfield is a good description.
My only complaint is the excessive lens flare for which Abrams is known. -
You don't have your scrapper Incarnated out? I got good use out of Judgement against the Phalanx.
-
I thought I had already posted in there.
Mental Giant was my first toon name, and I usually use that as my handle for an MMO. -
I think my Super Squishy Incarnate Blaster was the key to the MoLRSF.
Rox may have helped, too.
And all the Incarnate powers... -
Well, that costume reminded me of CoX...
-
Two. I don't normally save costumes, and when I upgrade my computer I usually forget to copy over the old folder.

Can't stand that hair is color-locked on the hats.
Other than that, it's a great pack.
