  1. According to Wikipedia, this thing is going to miss us by a figurative mile. Where did this guy get his secret information?
  2. Wow, this is getting advertised on Facebok! You've hit the big leagues, MP!

Actually, I am. Having "special" costume parts that you have to earn by raiding should be a relic of the Bad Old Days™ by now...

If Astrals & Empyreans were available through normal play, than I wouldn't mind as much. As it is, the Devs have tied the thing I care about most (costume options) to raiding. That's why this has become a raiding game for me.

At the rate I'm going, I should have all of the new stuff in a month or two, unless I burn out first, but I'd much rather have them as Costume Packs, or failing that... rewards for everyday play.
  4. Well, crap... so unless I have enough greens on me (or a self-heal) I just have to scream "I'M DISINTEGRATING! I'M DISINTEGRATING!" into League chat and hope someone heals me?
  5. Is the Green Beam the Disintegration Beam? Is there a way to save yourself once you start disintegrating?

    Zamuel!

How low is it again? I thought it was a super-low lvl trial to replace sewer runs.

That's how it works on Victory, except replace RWZ with Pocket D.
  8. Keyes is fun... but unresistable damage every 30 seconds puts a big focus on Healz. I'd prefer a debuff every 30 seconds or something... anything other than unresistable damage.

Also Keyes is much longer than the others, but I assume people will get the time down as everyone figures it out. I don't know if it will ever be as quick as Lambda or BAF, however.

Definitely a step in the right direction, but I'd like to at least be able to convert Astrals to Empys.

This is my big problem with the system. In an age where most MMOs are going to smaller raids, Paragon has upped the ante for us, and if you're on a less populated server like I am, it can be annoying to try to get into a group.

If there was a solo, or even a one team path to Astrals and Empyreans, I would take it. Statesmen help me, if they let us buy these things in the future with real monies, I'll do it.
  12. But... if it doesn't matter, why the large rebuttal?
  13. I think you misunderstood. The purpose of the vendors is so that only one toon had to grind Trials, but you were always going to have to grind trials if you want anything they have to offer.
  14. But the Binary and Pixels auras are coooool!
  15. Gah... wasted my 3 Empyreans on the Nuke costume change emote (which is pretty sweet, but I wanted to pick up one of the Emp auras).

I blew my Astrals on new auras and emotes (/em Ultimatepower isn't that impressive ).
  16. Thanks, Voo... you're a regular font of information today!
  17. When the servers are backup, does anyone know where I can go to start spending my hard-earned Astrals and Empyreans on the new costume stuff? I heard something about "new tailors". Are these new NPCs in the existing Icon stores, or something else?

I haven't run the trial, but based on the description I thought there was a way to mitigate the Pulse somewhat. If it's always hella huge damage, that does sound like a pain in the ***.

I was hoping that might happen, but I can see people getting upset at selling stuff that can be obtained in-game in the store. (Yes, I know they will be doing that with stuff like character respecs, but this would be worse).

I wonder how many Freems will automatically try to create accounts on Freedom, assuming it's the "F2P Server" based on the naming. It will be as tragic as it will be hilarious.
  21. It's not a matter of wanting all the shinies right now (even though I do). It's a matter of getting a head start on a crazy grind.

I tried starting my own Lambda tonight, but the team was very blaster/'troller/scrapper heavy and we had no tank. I'm convinced we could have made a go of it, but we only got 3 grenades and 6 acids in the sabotage phase, and I guess I focused the team on grabbing extra stuff from the weapon drops instead of beating on Marauder, and we didn't succeed.

Remember the days when you could slap a wacky team of 8 together and get stuff done? I miss those days.
  22. Since it looks I'm going to need a metric butt-ton of Astral and Empyrean Merits to afford all the new costume stuff in I20.5, I definitely need to ramp up my Trial runs. My problem is that I can't seem to find when they're running. During my normal playtime (8PM - midnight EST), I log in and check out Pocket D and most of the time no one is running a Trial (or it's already going on and there aren't enough people for a second). Last night I was in D, and we had about half a Lamda ready, but no one even knew how to start a Trial (I think it has something to do with the LFG Queue... I'm right about that, aren't I?).

In the short term this issue will be resolved by I20.5 hitting on Tuesday, which means there should be a healthy resurgence in Keyes Trials, at least. In the longer term I'm wondering if enough Trials are running to keep me in Astrals and Empyreans.

Am I the only one having this issue? Do we need to turn Voodoo Tuesdays into Trial Tuesdays?
  23. I foresee a hideous amount of grinding to unlock this stuff, as I want all of the costumes/auras/etc.

And it will only cost 450 Paragon Points!

    Awesome Victory

    GLHF, Penny!

Here's hoping we'll see Premium Penny some time down the road.
