  1. Maybe a definition of some of your terms....I'm lost.
  2. Now, I didn't get the impression they were working on it. I just took it as "here's why it won't work the way things are now."

    Ss / sr ?

I have a lvl 50 SS/SR brute, and find it quite fun and pretty darn effective. The rage crash is annoying but far from deadly.
  4. There ya go, thanks for the clarification.
  5. There was a dev post pretty much saying it wasn't going to happen without major reworking. (can't remember the specifics)
  6. Electricity control has been hinted at as the next primary. (Hero Con I believe)

I believe Posi said something more like "we're working on a solution that will make the most people happy". not everyone.

Illusion - Hmm. A safer, more team oriented Illusion/Storm Controller with no knockback, perhaps? But there are touches of Radiation in /Cold
I'm currently working on an Ill/Cold and that pretty much nails it. It's a more "team friendly" (notice the quotes) or team oriented version of storm with a little rad thrown in. The addition of the slows so far add some nice additional control to illusion. I'm not up to the mid 30s yet so it hasn't matured into awesomeness yet, but so far I'm enjoying it quite a bit.
  9. On our Guardian All Controller STFs we used 2 if not 3 Ill's to hold off LR. It works well but as people have said its best to overlap the aggro because even with perma you have to recast and unless something sturdy like a PA decoy is there to absorb you could get flattened.
  10. Then Pepsi would eat it, then they'd have to start all over.
  11. Alternate me, I'm not sure my exact 31st plans. I can bring whatever is needed to fill out the list.
  12. Gratz! name it Mental Maden. I'd be proud.
  13. Remember that controllers and doms while there is some overlap, are different ATs therefore play differently.

Doms are control/damage a more offensive set, whereas the controller is control/buff-debuff a more defensive/support set. And just because that "terrible" word support is there it doesn't mean wimpy. On the contrary, controllers can be some of the nastiest toons in Coh/v. Since your teaming, I wouldn't worry too much about picking up damage powers (unless you do a fair share of soloing) and think about making your character a good balance of primary and secondary. Early game your more offensive AT'd friends will be able to dish out way more damage than you, but you will make them gods of damage while you make your enemies statues (or idiots shooting each other in plants case ). Eventually when you get into your epics you can start really thinking about damage and resists/defense as your build should be fairly well rounded by then. At that point you'll "get" what it is so many of us love about the AT.
  14. Coulrophobia (Fear of Clowns) Arc ID 1178

Oh you may want to bring some of your clones along. It is very difficulty sensitive, so if your going at it alone make sure you are set appropriately. What's not to love about it......It has mimes........with caltrops! Enjoy!

Edit- Doh! didn't see the entry deadline.
  15. Actually they are technically "psi" blasters with animations and graphics from several sets. You don't get the benefits of their secondary properties i.e. knockback, slow, -end, etc.
  16. Gratz

    Missed you tonight.
  17. I can't seem to recall the last time you asked............
  18. And Doc, you may just find that controlling is a WHOLE lotta fun!

, but I'd like to maybe at least be really good at maybe ONE heal so that if the time comes where I do have to use it, I'll be able to save more lives than Jes- oh, wait.

Well you don't really build around one power in CoH/V though. You want to make one power uber special? 6 slot it...done.Thats three under-thirty levels or two over-thirty levels. (although 6 slotting one attribute only can be wasteful, but you can also go for healing set bonuses, but that will only get you so far with a build) Now what? Make your character well balanced. As others have said or implied, take what you know about MMO heal classes and toss them out the window. While there are times people need to be healed, in Coh/v mitigation trumps the green numbers. Proof? Watch a group of Fire/Rad controllers waste away the game at the highest difficulty and probably never fire off a heal. It's just not like other games. Now a good emp is always welcome, especially low game, but once the build matures your buffs are what teams are after.

Now about the whole not understanding why people are offended.............come on now. My guess is you knew it was a provocative concept, so you shouldn't be surprised when someone takes offense. Never assume that others appreciate or share your sense of humor or your level of tolerance of dark/controversial subject matter.
