  2. You could always just ask a friend who has a lvl 50 plant/kin.......but NOoooooooooo.

    FYI- for my first pass (lvling to 50 0 to a few IOs) I went with power mastery. For my IO build I'll probably switch to psi or stone. Haven't decided yet.

    It's a complimentary/opposite theme to my Illusion/Thermal. The Ill/Therm is named Flash Powder Jane and is a stage magician type who creates her Illusions using tech based stage trickery but has no actual magical abilities. She wears a red and yellow top hat and stage outfit. So when they announced /cold I knew I wanted an Illusion/Cold and just decided to take the easy way out and make Jane's opposite: Flash Frozen Jen. She wears a similar outfit but in light blue and white and her powers are actually magic based i.e. she actually creates the illusions and effects herself.

    No, its not animation time I'm arguing, its the fact they are toggles. FR is a fire and forget, you get the benefits no matter who's killed and when in a spawn. With farming I feel efficiency is key and to me toggles as opposed to FaF(click) powers like FR, FS, etc are less helpful.

    You aren't seeing much about Cold Domination because it was just recently introduced to controllers as a secondary. Given it has ally shields the set in its entirety is probably more of a team based set. (Don't know what selfish team means, though) While it has tools that are nice for solo efforts the set as a whole lends itself great for teaming.

    I'm currently running an Ill/Cold myself and like the little bits of extra control that /cold has to offer the set to offset Illusions lack of "traditional" control. So far I like it a lot.

I don't mean to be a contrarian or snarky but if you're farming and have time to actually use your rad toggles you are farming too slow....a kin will have already taken the spawn down and moved on. I love love love me some rad, but laying down toggles and actually using them is kind of counter to farming in my opinion....unless maybe you are herding multiple spawns. I'm not saying a rad can't farm, just that their toggles won't be of that much use and the time and thought it takes to lay them on a spawn, attack and avoid killing your toggle (since you want them to help move your farm along) is a bit of a hinderence.

    Want a fun farmer? fire/storm/stone. Plant/storm would make a nice alternative.

  11. For a Duo (or any teaming situation) I'd say cold. Plus your shields plus his SR will make him teh uber. Redundant? Nah just up your diff!

  13. If you are looking at Fire/Storm through the lens of "better" meaning AV killer; Fire/Rad is your best option. If you are looking at "better" as safety; Fire/Rad is probably a better option. If you are looking at "better" as a buzzsaw that tears through enemies at a fast and nasty clip unleashing destruction on masses then Fire/Storm is "better" and "uglier". In the early 40s I took mine to Cimerora and was taking out mobs of +4s with little effort. At the moment (50) I run her at +2/6 solo very easily, she could do 8 but I like the speed the 6 man spawn gets cleared.



    Just make sure and slot your IOs for lots and lots of +end and +recovery

    If you (generic you) want your darkity dark, it's probably your (generic your) only option any time soon for all the reasons stated.
