  1. This is exactly what staff fighting should sound like.

The truth is they are trying to balance the set as they found it has a major weakness to small sticks.

  4. I never make matching powersets and that's what this is all about. I really really really want an Illusion/Dark, but I'm sticking to my guns and finally making a matching toon.
  5. Dark/Dark/Soul out of the gate. Illusion/Dark soon to follow.

OR Come on Devs, how about a Dark mastery for controllers and doms to match our new pretty powerset?
  6. Forcebolt slotted for kb while playing a level 50 against level 1 mobs in Atlas Park on top of buildings.
  7. They didn't say on Talking Dead that they don't blink. The director was merely pointing out that the particular person playing that zombie didn't blink for that particular zombie to give it more of a "skull like" effect. But I didn't gather that meant all zombie's don't blink. It sounded to me like a specific decision made for dramatic effect.

Oh, my reading comprehension FTL. Sorry I completely misread this whole debate.

For whatever reason, I was thinking we were talking AOE hold not ST. Yeah I can see a single SO as ok although I'd probably go 1 Acc, 2 Hold, 2 Dam or Dam and Rech. Something along those lines. But I totally see Milady's and Boomies point and see them as viable as well. One exception to the advice: I never play hoping to rely on someone elses power to compensate for my slotting.

That said, while I think 1 Acc is fine, I much much prefer the ability set IOs give you in increasing all the aspects we're talking about. While a single SO will be fine, I'd still always rather have just a tad bit more.

With a 90% base accuracy on Tesla Cage, I wouldn't slot 2 SOs of Acc since against most foes 1 will be enough unless you are going with some insane difficulty setting like +4/8x. I would go 1 Acc, 3 hold, 2 rech. A 3rd rech only shaves .7 seconds off the recharge of the power where a 3rd hold enhancer adds 5.3 seconds to the duration.

  10. /TA, /cold, /rad I think any of those could prove interesting.
  11. I absolutely love /Time and this thread makes me really want to make one. BUT I'm going to resist for now as my last controller was an Ill/Time. I also never make complimentary themed characters (fire/fire, energy/energy etc) so I'd like to finally do that this go round (probably even taking it to villain side for Soul Mastery). After will be an Ill/Dark to go with my group of Illusionist/Stage Magician themed characters.

Just need to work out my "concept" for the Dark/Dark.
  12. Semantics fight! Someone get the gauze, this may get bloody.

  13. You seem to be asking for advice about endurance management, then arguing with solutions Local is giving you. But that's how it looks, may not be accurate.

In my opinion unless you are "going" for defense bonuses, you are wasting your time running weave with a resistance based shield. There is some endurance freed up.

My fire/kin can solo +2/6-8 (depending on enemy group) with a common IO build only without much endurance issues and without alpha help. Transference is typically up quick enough to take care of any situation where the blue bar dips low. Besides accuracy for cages I think end reduction is important as a fire/kin will probably be using them quite a bit. Yes the duration is plenty long, but then again lengthening the duration of the immob is also a way of reducing end use as you cast them less often.
  14. I feel sorry for anyone who didn't see something like that coming from a mile away. Honestly, Seacrest can't be that surprised this happened. What did they think we was going to do: a funny interview and leave? Come on, he had a jar of "ashes". They were getting spilled on somebody.

    This.

A well organized group of players can do any of the trials without problems. Plus, BAF and Lams are the kindergarten of trials anyway.

Different strokes I guees. You can never read too many GRRM books. He doesn't "NEED" to kill off his characters; he's just not scared to do it.
