Quote::PSeriously.. He's at enough of a disadvantage just by playing a Peacebringer!
Ba-dum tshh.
/Goes and buffs with no need of mobs.
(To be honest, I should go through my builds and try to update them - the way the ones *with* some IOs are now are scary. You can tell I changed direction a few times in them.) -
I skip it. Not least because you don't "fight" the shivan. You sort of whiff at it as airstrikes get called in. (Plus, at least that I recall, the other shivans in there don't count toward MiB. Which I actually wanted early for a character.)

Wish this slideshow had come out earlier. Posted for general interest. (NASA suits - and some other misc. pics that really seem out of place.)

Quote:KB protection? That's called "Dwarf."Bill,
Of all the set bonuses to get... you pick... that?
At least get some KB protection.(And as far as set bonuses... having stuff vanish on me was irritating. Thus, one cheap IO.)
This build hasn't changed in *years.* (Actually PVP'd with this one, fairly well, pre-IOs. Post-IO, that's "See the noob stalker who doesn't know about stacking stealth" more than anything.) I should actually look at the other build - I think I was doing something with that at one point. I have many unfinished builds. -
Pfft. You guys and your long lists of silliness. Here's (mostly) old school!
>.> -
At least you could fight them.
If I can put in a fairly old screenshot...
... which apparently got resized at some point. Ugh. -
Just tested this on my Ill/Sonic. Mine blinks still. Not sure why yours isn't. May want to check in tech issues/bugs.

Quote:Different strokes and all that.indeed, but then so did Matt Smith.
Tegan wasn't that bad, I quite liked her.(After all, I'm fairly cool toward Tom Baker most of the time, but like the fifth and sixth doctors... and people are really down on Colin Baker.)
Frankly, I wouldn't mind a bit more... questionableness in a companion at some point, a la Turlough (which, I suppose, we had a bit of in Jack Harkness.) -
Eh. We'll see. Not on my "Got to go opening weekend" list... kind of feels like, no matter how much they respect the originals, it's still kind of feeling like "three other guys pretending to be the Three Stooges" when I watch the trailer.

Quote:How could I forget Safehold... yeah, great books. Had a hard time putting them down. Went on a vacation for a friend's wedding. Stopped at the bookstore on the way to the airport to pick up another of them. (Second and third, or third and fourth, at the time.) I'm surprised I didn't bring one to the ceremony... though I think they would have disapproved of standing there with a book.I like most of David Weber's sci-fi (Honor Harrington Series - which he placed the first two books, On Basilisk Station and Honor of the Queen - in the free section, Safehold series, Dahak series - the first being Mutineers Moon, also in the free section).
Seconded - though I tend to push those more toward "urban/supernatural fantasy" versus scifi. Rather fond of Kim Harrison's Hollows series - and I started on both authors waiting for Jim Butcher's books. -
Oh, dear lord, I hated Teagan. I *so* wanted the Doctor to accidentally stop, yell "Here's heathrow, out'ya go!" and shove her into a black hole or something.
Donna, honestly, I felt was a welcome break. Took a bit to warm to her, admittedly.
As far as our new Companion (and I keep flashing back to Earth: Final Conflict when I say that,) they're going to have a tough act to follow. -
Quote:Actually, I had to specifically check it - it wasn't checked by default for me. However, I was at a trainer, as opposed to Icon/Facemaker. Not sure if that makes a difference. The problem is, the checked box is CHECKED by default. So when I enter a tailor the first time on a character, costume pieces are changed automatically. Unchecking the box then reentering the tailor window will fix it. The box should be UNCHECKED by default in my opinion. Also, if I switch characters, the box will be rechecked. I don't understand the need for this. With the box set to be check by default, new players will not know there are other costume pieces they can purchase.
Edit: To be more precise, I don't see a reason for this feature to have been added in the first place. I never seen anyone in the game say they would like such a feature. Were players on the forums asking for it? Or was it something random the developers decided to do?
And yes, it was actually asked for. I do remember it being asked for a time or two on the forums. -
Infinity's still fairly good. (Actually, most servers will be.) Check down in the "Servers" section, find and join the globals and ask around for who plays when you do.
A lot's been added in 5 years. -

Solution:
1. Win large lottery.
2. Quit job.
3. Invest lottery winnings into time manipulation research (actual, not powerset.)
3a. Play time manipulation powerset while waiting on research.
4. Add more time to day.
5. Invest in energy drinks and/or IV. -

Nice checkbox!
... except, on a character using only the base pieces (and Vanguard pants,) on a costume he's had since before Freedom... it put him entirely in generic grey tights.
oops.
(Plus it seems to have reset the head/face options completely, other than that... that gets fairly irritating.) -
I'm assuming you mean heroside it's a pain. (And... eh, maybe. You can get them in Ouroboros as well, the intro arc, IIRC.) Villainside, Dr. Aeon plays with them a fair bit, so you can either get it at level or (again) via Ouro.
Think I've run the trial twice... and I can't say for sure if I had progress on someone or not before hand. Check the group name on them - see if they show up as Shivans or Neo-Shivans (I think is the other "name" for them.) if the second,t hey probably don't count. (I don't believe the ones in the tutorial do, either... can't say for sure they're the same group, though, or there's a specific exclusion for them.) -

I think we're getting a decent balance of "Free for VIP" and "Everyone pays." (even if it's with "free" points.)
Only issue is that VIPs can't "buy" free sets to have them available if they go premium (such as when they're on sale.) -
Should note - and this doesn't affect your post, Neo, since you're not listing prices for you to do work - that generally prices are a no-no for mentioning on the board.
(In other words, I can say I typically spend under $50, usually $30 or less, with most artists except for a few bigger/more complex pieces, but I can't say "I'm doing commissions here for $15 a pop, single character" - which I'm not, unless you REALLY like stick figures, then we'll talk.) -
Quote:Heh. I did some digging with that.. yes, it was before First Ward, as well. So there wasn't even a "keres" mob in game. (6/2007.)Oh wow, you're even worse off than I am in the regard of wishing you could write your own dialogue... and I play a Midnighter who's old enough to have met the Dream Doctor before he disappeared. Wow. Dat name.
*shrug* Wonder how many comments I'll get... -
