Please draw my toons (anime style)

Since I'm not a VIP I'm not allowed to post anywhere else.
But I've been part of the CoH community since 2005, although after 4 years I took a little sabbatical.
That's a little background information. Now to the matter at hand...

I have but 1 wish; To have art, drawn by some (or one) of our many talented players, of a few of my characters. And I'm not asking for full color action scenes with decorations, enemies and debris.
No, just stances drawn in ink with not too much 3D effects like reflections and shadows.
Why? Because I know my way around Photoshop and am able to color and decorate drawings. But I completely suck at drawing human-like characters with good facial expressions and bodies with properly drawn limbs. It's so bad that my 2-yo son does a better job at drawing stick figures than I do.

But I don't have much to offer. So I'm looking for someone who can do anime style ink drawings and doesn't want anything in return other than the credits and some advertising / worshipping. Your drawings will be posted on my deviantArt page, used on my CoH fansite as decorations and credited where ever I use them in signatures.

I know, it's not much of a deal. I'm just hoping that there's a good samaritan out there that's willing to do this for me.
Again, I'm not asking for top quality stuff. Just good anime style inking.

Will you help me?

I'm in a financial bind and I could use some cash. Feel free to pass it along, I promise I'll tell everyone that you did it.

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.

Quite honestly... you're probably not going to get a lot of bites. Once in a while someone will ask for people to submit characters so they have something to sketch, or just for the heck of it (like this current thread by imagesbyalex.)

You do, however, have to remember the phrase, "Beggars can't be choosers." When someone's doing something free, don't expect to be able to specify the style or get some big, fancy setup done. (Which it doesn't *sound* like you're looking for.)

The flip side of things, though, is that there are quite a few people on DA (some linked down in the multimedia forum, or go through the #cityofheroes (I believe it is) group) that do fairly extensive artwork without breaking the bank. As in go without Starbucks for a week, get decent character art and have money left over.

Your best bet is Deviant Art., You find some talented artists. Some do commissions and are affordable. Sometime it can be 15 buck for a quick sketch. Depend on the artist.

I paid alot more then 15 for these , however, I liked the artist work and I like to support artist when I can.

Should note - and this doesn't affect your post, Neo, since you're not listing prices for you to do work - that generally prices are a no-no for mentioning on the board.

(In other words, I can say I typically spend under $50, usually $30 or less, with most artists except for a few bigger/more complex pieces, but I can't say "I'm doing commissions here for $15 a pop, single character" - which I'm not, unless you REALLY like stick figures, then we'll talk.)

I didn't do the work, I just commissioned the pieces.

Another option is hit up the artist alley at a local comic/anime convention. You can see the examples of the artist work before hand and get pretty good deal. Just bring references of your character with you.

You will meet some great artist.

I got this done at Wizard World Chicago

... trying to figure out why you cut the quote where you did, as just before the quoted part, I said "This doesn't affect your post."

No offense by it.

Just wanted to make sure it clear that I am not the artist , I don't want to take credit for work that isn't mine.

Not offended, just one of those "... but.... that's what I just *said*" moments. Confusion resolved.
