And if they do.. then what? They are going to give us free advertising or something? I don't think so. They are partners with DC Comics, who have their own video game. I wouldn't be surprised if Bruce Timm got involved because of the people that copied his drawing. haha j.k

Quote:They didn't choose what they wear. The Devs did. It's not the same thing at all - like Statesman and Reichsman are the same, but the way they dress shows that one is a Hero and the other is a Villain, even though their bodies are the same - they've both chosen the way they dress, but they have no choice about their body.
Of course they didn't have any choice about their body. The Devs made that too, which they could have changed if they wanted to.
You can keep repeating the same thing over an over again and ignore the posts that have proved you wrong, but that doesn't make you right. By now, the thread is so offtopic that we're not even talking about the same offtopic issue that you originally started by putting words into somebody else's mouth and looking at it from the wrong perspective. lol
All we said is if we made a slutty toon, we'd give her a large chest. That does not imply that all people with a large chest are slutty, thus nothing to take offense to.
To borrow the analogy from Father Xmas, if I drew an elephant, I'd make it gray. That in no way implies that all gray animals are elephants, but I'm sure you are going to come to the defense of all gray animals everywhere and say they are offended, right? lol
Nobody is judging the elephant for being gray. I simply made it gray because it's an elephant. -
Besides bank missions, I can't think of anything you'd miss. If you've already done the bank mission for that level range, and none of your contacts will talk to you, and further bank missions aren't giving you more contacts that will talk to you, I'd say it's time to move to the next tier.
On a side note, are you including Task Forces? That would be something else to look for once you get into the next tier. -
Maybe we should see if the Devs could make more dramatic head sliders so we can make larger heads instead. That might make the larger breasts look more "reasonable". lol j.k
-
I wasn't putting them all together on the same toon. I was simply listing different individual traits that I or somebody else might find attractive. Maybe somebody has several preferences and would make more than one "slutty" toon that don't look anything alike. The point was, I completely agree that no physical trait directly points to "slutty", so there is no reason for a slutty toon's features to offend anybody. They don't reflect the person's morals, they reflect the persons personal preferences.
-
Quote:Then you are still reading it backwards. It's not the breast size that shows morality. It's the morality that accentuates certain features to get attention. If I wasn't into big breasts, I could make a "smaller" character and still make her slutty. That wouldn't mean all "smaller" toons are slutty, and I don't think that should be offensive to anybody either.I'm reading it as someone saying that if they wanted to make a "slutty" avatar, they'd use their physical appearance to show their morality.
We're talking about preference here, not prejudice. If I were to make a slutty character, I might prefer to give her a bigger rear end too.. not because I think people with bigger rear ends are slutty, but because that's what I might prefer in a woman. Maybe I'd want her to have black hair, or to be Asian. None of those features have anything to do with being slutty. They are just features I might find attractive. When making a "slutty" character, I'd make something I find attractive... which all boils down to my own personal opinions and preferences.
You are just incorrectly drawing lines between a specific physical appearance and specific morality because it's already an existing prejudice. The whole basis of what makes somebody "slutty" is sex, and what drives sex, is what somebody's preference is. What one person thinks is slutty might be completely different than another. Some people might even make her blonde. Would that be offensive too?
We decide our own breast size in this game, which seems to be the whole point of this thread. All we are saying is that whatever our preference may be, for whatever reason, the game allows us to do it. Do I have a "slutty" toon, or have any desire to make one? Not at all. But I support the ability for somebody else to make one if they choose to, and it may even have completely different features than I might choose for it. You never know.
Regardless of your argument about genetics, it's no secret that people get breast reductions and breast enlargements for various reasons all the time. People even regularly dye their hair. I guess thinking that somebody's appearance and their genetics always have something to do with each other is becoming an old fashioned mindset too. -
Quote:My point is, I'm not saying "big breasts = slutty". You're just incorrectly reading it that way. That's not the same thing at all - a football player is muscular because they train a lot - and it has nothing to do with morlaity either.
Saying that big breasts = "slutty" is linking morality to genetics - the size of our breasts is decided before we're even born.
Thinking that morality and geneitcs have anything to do with each other is a very old fashioned mindset.
On a side note, there are no genetics in a video game. -
Quote:But that's where you have it backwards. We're not looking at any random large-breasted woman and calling her "slutty". If that were the case, I'd totally agree with you. We're just saying how we would create a "slutty" character. You're missing the point - the ofesnive part is associating someone's physical appearance with their morality.
Think of the different ways that can - and has been - interpreted.
It's no different than saying I would put big muscles on an American-football player character. I'm not saying that everybody with big muscles is a football player, or even that every football player has big muscles. That's just what my preference would be. You don't have to agree with it.
In a thread made specifically about character appearances, you'd think people would be more understanding when it comes to fictional creativity. If that offends you (or anybody else), I truly am sorry for that. I just don't understand why. -
First of all, the term "slutty" is automatically an offensive term for a sexually promiscuous woman, so I guess it doesn't really matter how we describe what we would imagine one to look like, you are just gonna get mad regardless. Fact is, they do come in all shapes and sizes of course, but in a fantasy world, one would probably want to accentuate certain features that they personally like. There's nothing wrong with that.
I don't see why anybody would be offended by that. I'm sorry. I just don't see it as any different as adding huge muscles to the Male models. It's just a preference, not a prejudice. -
Quote:I also tend to end up on the left side of the slider and increase the waist for a more "realistic" female form. We pretty much defeated through at the beginning of things, but decided to stealth more once we got closer to the end. The second arc seemed much shorter than it was the last time we ran it a couple weeks ago. I guess we picked up a couple extra missions when running it through the actual contact as opposed to through Ouro.
We spotted a Winter Lord on the way to one of the missions, and took him out, but skipped the Realm event. Once we were done with both arcs, Turg hosted his LR mission at the end of his patron arc, then Paragon did the same. My SG finished off the Scorpion's Surprise badge, and a couple other people came very close for their SGs as well.
Nice job everybody! Thanks for coming. Great fun as always! Extra thanks to Turg and Paragon for hosting the extra missions at the end. -

Actually, it was released with i17, but it never seemed to work. The i18 patch notes mentioned it "is working correctly now", but seeing how it was supposed to be working before too, you never know if it's really true or not. Like I said, nobody has reported using it or confirming that it really is working. There have even been posts in the Tech forum asking about it.
It doesn't matter if they already use it or not. My intention was to bring it up so that a mod could turn it on and possibly allow room for you to re-join... if the command is even really working at this point.
It was my understanding that participation in a channel is not necessary to be considered active. Simply logging in a character that has the channel in a tab should be enough. You might not even need to have the channel in a tab. The original announcement just says "users that have not logged in". -
Quote:Or.. is the chantimeout command actually working yet? I saw in the patch notes that it was supposed to be working now, but I haven't seen anybody actually confirm it. If it works, that would be a way a mod could get rid of some inactive people and free up space. If the channels are full, that means those people wanted to be there. To accommodate you, someone would have to step out of the channel to make a hole for you. (Or, have a mod boot someone at random, which is really kinda a jerk move.) That's the only "help" you can hope for, realistically.

No. ID would slightly decrease your speed on flat areas, and does nothing at all to help you with the rest.
Quote:I can't say anything about MovementControl and MovementFriction, but as Ironblade said, IR seemed to make me at least FEEL like I was more maneuverable and in control. SB only helped me go flying off the sides of the track at higher velocities than I would have without it, and it seemed like it happened more often as well.
Like we said, it does take some practice and twitch reflexes to get used to, but that's where the faster times come from (without teleporting).
My current record this year is 39.88, but I got as low as 37 last year... again, without teleporting. The only thing I do differently is I jump to the right after the portal. If you are able to stay low and get the timing of the jump right, it will be faster than going all the way around that ramp.
One of these days I want to look into taking a video of it, but I never messed around with fraps or anything before. lol -
Quote:Swim around the south side of the south bridge, and the north side of the north bridge. That's usually where I found credit for those locations.I can't find these last 2 at those bridges!!! I swam everywhere around them and went on the bridges as well. These aer the last 2 I need. Any other ideas?
If that doesn't work, are you sure those are the two you are missing? -
It doesn't necessarily mean you were booted. There is something in the code that automatically removes you from a global channel if you delete a chat tab that has a global channel in it, if it's the only tab you have that channel in. It seems many people do it by accident without realizing it all the time, especially on new toons. As long as the channel is not private or full, logging into another toon that had the channel on a chat tab should re-add you again.
A good workaround to prevent this has been to click on one of the "1 2 3 4" on the chat window to open an extra window and create a new tab. Place ALL your global channels in this tab and keep the window closed at all times. Make sure you /chatsave afterward and then do a /chatload onto all your toons at some point so they will all have it.
If you actually were kicked, then I'm sorry. I don't really have any information about that. Hopefully somebody can get you back in somehow either way. Good Luck! -
Gratz everybody!

Also, it appears I need to update my Titan profiles. I guess the GR transition was a little late and it wasn't updated properly. My 3 badge toons should be right around top 50 overall, and top 10 for Freedom (currently around top 15 on Badge-Hunter's Freedom list).
My Update:
Master-Blade 1170.
Teal Tabby 1172.
Robin Rogue 1169. -
Multiple runs. It doesn't matter how many runs it takes you. You can get them 1 at a time if you desire (or by "accident"). As long as you eventually get them all, you'll get the accolade.

I'm going to Copy/Edit my post from the other thread:
Quote:I hope that helps.IR, CJ, SJ, and Ninja are helpful is because they add hidden stats called MovementControl and MovementFriction. That's what makes you slide down the hill faster.
CJ, SJ and Ninja have the same MovementFriction stats. CJ's stats are actually better than SJ and Ninja control-wise, but IR's is through the roof. If I get a few people to stack IR buffs on me before going down, I can even get times on the big hill down below 40 easily (of course it took practice).
SS and SB actually doesn't do much for you except give you a good starting speed off the platform and maybe help you on any of the flatter areas of the course. -
Quote:How is acrobatics supposed to be helpful? Thought all it did was protect from knockback...Quote:Cause it isn't helpful. People are just confused. Your options are IR, CJ, SJ.
Ninja Jump isn't enough. I think the problem is the flip you do in mid air.
