Testing Missions in an Arc
Wanting to test a specific mission in your arc without playing through the rest? Simply drag and drop the mission you want to test to be number one in the list. Remember to drop it back afterward before publishing!
Right-click on MA Contact text
You'll be surprised (well, I was) as to what you can do - colours, fontsize and other formatting is available! -
Each individual objective requires its own spawn point. So if you put in five "Defeat a Boss" objectives, you will get five spawns in the mission (assuming the map has room for them).
It will not place all five bosses in the same location - they'll be scattered. You could get them near to each other by telling the MA to place them at the Front/Middle/Back but they still won't make them overlap.
The Ambush setup is the only way I can think of to get them into the same fight and even then you're probably looking at multiples of each one.
What Coin is wanting may just not be possible at this juncture. -
Awww, sooo cute the lot of you! And this is entirely optional but I'd love to see how ARAD's resident robotics genius would look....

Plenty of other reference material @ http://zaprobo.blogspot.com/ -
But that'd put all five in different spawns and not the epic fight I think Coin was going for. I was trying a way to get all five into a single fight.
-
Cheat? Not in front of the game, but... create five different custom groups each with the one EB.
- Create a Boss spawn of Group 1 with allies of Group 2
- Create an Ambush of group 3 at 3/4 health
- Create an Ambush of group 4 at 1/2 health
- Create an Ambush of group 5 at 1/4 health
Might want to test it to see if this works (you may get multiples of groups 2-5 but setting them to "Easy" might cut down the numbers) -
I would be concerned that since the GM's are unlikely to be able to read such arcs that the work may get canned as they can't guarantee it isn't offensive or breaching copyright.
Just a thought. -
Undiscovered arcs give tickets (Dev Choice do not), and new arc give the Early Bird badge.
Plus, newer arcs are great pot luck - you could find the next Hall of Famer before anyone else -
The more you learn! Never knew you could colour the contact text. Back to editing my arc

If a transfer happens I'll probably be heading back to Pinnacle - where I started on CoH all those years ago. Was the unofficial EU server back in the day.
-
After 8 serial codes (CoH (US Acct), CoH Collectors (US Acct), CoV Pre-Order, CoV, CoV Collectors, Good vs Evil, Wedding Pack, Cyber Pack, Mac Pack) and 57 months of Vet Time...
... I don't have the heart to start up again if all my financial and time investment in the game is tossed to one side.
I'll be with the group that ups sticks for pastures new. -
First my housemate, then my MMO company. Sorry to hear it, GR - good luck in wherever you end up next.
-
Assuming transfer I would require (in an ideal world)...
- Automatic transfer of all characters from all four EU servers to the 4 lowest populated US servers.
- Provision of a server transfer token per character transferred
- Provision of a rename token for any characters with a naming conflict
- Transfer of all SG settings including bases
This would enable continuity for all players, and the opportunity to mingle off to other servers should it be required/wanted. -
I went to my fave rumour-monger for NCsoft Europe. Yeah, not good numbers.
We'll have to see what the official word is though, as always. -
CO holds no interest to me - no investment in the IP at all. Might give it a look if I get too bored. Now, having seen some footage of DCUO, that I'll have a look at!
-
Why hasn't this still been fixed. All they need to do is remove the fear code from Henchmen and Player Pets. Job done.
-
Bah, I remember back in the day we didn't have any of your fancy exit buttons. You clicked on the title of the mission, and you liked it.
-
Aye! Up for a (little) less TF madness, and more wandering round as MZ - maybe get a shot with Ghost Widow this time

Excellent. Though I see that its one of my older guides and could do with some work to bump it into the 39+ power picks. Plus, if I'm feeling frisky I might make a couple of new builds for the guide as well.
It's on my list. -
Yes, afraid that a couple of my guides I don't have a local version of.
Guide being referred is "MZ's Mastermind Reference Build Guide v1.0" which was at http://uk.boards.cityofvillains.com/...?Number=382604 -
Remember, you can join more channels now then when GC originally came out. Maybe come join us?

<Master Zaprobo> AAAAAAEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNN! </Master Zaprobo>
Ahem.
Looks good, and reminds me I really should pick up the electronic quill and carry on with Journal of a Mastermind. -
Restrictions on henchmen are that they can not be targetted by an Ally Rez ability (So Howling Twilight, Elixir of Life, Resuscitate, etc.) or by the Vengeance power.
Otherwise all other buffs will work on them. As to how useful they are... -
And, add to the mix (untested, theorycraft)....
- Acquire the Mac Pack.
- Keep the final door mission in Outbreak/Breakout on your mission list.
- Pact up to another character. Have that character leave the tutorial normally and level up to 5 or so.
- On the Tutorial Character, use the Pocket D or SG Base Teleporter to exit Outbreak/Breakout
- Head to Kings Row/Port Oakes and start paper missions to get on the regular contact paths.
You should then be able to level normally (with a single mission slot taken up) and use the Mac Mission Teleporter to return to the Tutorial whenever you need.
Edit: Missed Scarlet_Shocker's post saying it was patched and couldn't be done. Oh well! -
The pets will still carry out their last orders and behave as per their stance. Run around with Follow/Aggressive and you can keep PFF up (just not be able to support your henchies).

Outbreak is still Outbreak, coming up to 5 years on. The city hasn't been able to help or contain the Contaminated?
[/ QUOTE ]
Of course not. You just have to look at the counter-story from the Villain-side to explain why.
Us dastardly types keep infectin' you all!
