Just got done watching Samurai Champloo id liked it a whole lot better minus the rap .Id still give it a +1 just because it swings wildly from serious to funny. How many anime has a samurai throw out his back in a brothel?
The animation style reminds me of Afro Samurai but at times the animation is not as slick as afro. -
Just spent a few days watching all of the Ghost in the shell movies an tv series. +1 i would say at the least.
I want to watch more like that an Black Lagoon .As well as Draker than Black.Anime an that catagory.Just amazing good stories with twists an turns as well as awsome animation.
Plan on buying all of those on dvd in time.I expect when the Ghost in the shell live movie comes out they will bundle all the anime together. -
Darker than Black season 1 an 2 +1 for each.I keep thinking it remds me a bit of wildcards novels an ctiy of heroes a bit.
Black Lagoon season 1 an 2 +1 for each Bit darker stories than darker than black .But what a ride.Sin City on a torpedo boat. That good imho. -

http://www.hardocp.com/article/2009/..._card_review/1
has a good review of the AMD’s ATI Radeon HD 5770 an compare it vs NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 an a ATI Radeon HD 4870.
some of the results were intresting.
"The Bottom Line
If you currently own an ATI Radeon HD 4870 or a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260, don’t look for a huge gameplay improvement in today’s games, it just isn’t there right now. But if you are currently in the market for something new, supporting forward looking DX11 games, and the ability to run triple-display gaming at an affordable price, then the PowerColor HD5770 is where you want to be looking. The PowerColor HD5770 provides an excellent gameplay experience for the price of $165 with the future in mind.

im runing two 260 bfg gtx oc cards in sli . cards before this was two 8800bfg gtx cards in sli.had great luck with the company .this might not matter to some but

dont rely on price grabber like programs as you can find cheeper by just checking certian sites.many a time i find a good deal then see they charge a arm an leg on shiping but were cheepest in the price grabber. an sevrial times i find something cheeper on newegg but it doesnt even show in a price list.
an if you use amazon marketplace odds are it wount show up for weeks.but you can save a bit in the long run that way.personaly i prefer newegg or compusa/tigerdirect (its same thing) returns are easyer. newegg especialy probly best customer service for comp parts . -
missed the toms hardware comaprison but thats good news least for me.newegg.com has regular combo deals with power suplies an grafic cards.haveing rewired my comp an installed psu's before if one takes their time any one should be albe to do it. much like changeing spark plug wires you do one at a time not to mess any thing up.
heres a decent combo

Quote:For those of us who dont speek ati i did some googleing to find out equvilant nvidia cards. If the base line is ati hd 4850s then this articleThe tech demo at the Hero-Con panel was run using dual ATI HD4850s, if I'm not mistaken. Ghost Falcon has stated that the HD4850 will be the baseline for running ultra mode, so essentially they're saying that last year's higher-end cards are going to be the minimum for getting GR looking all pretty (plus it means they'll have likely fixed some of the persistent ATI-specific graphics glitches). I'm personally considering upgrading to a 5xxx series card (I have an HD4850 at the moment) but have no intention of upgrading the rest of my system as it's only a year old.
If you want to get a card now that will support Going Rogue when it's released, you'll be best-served with a HD5850 or HD5870 - I don't mention nVidia's offerings because they're just not as competitive at the moment in the price/performance ratio. However, I'd wait until closer to the launch date for GR, as there will likely be even better hardware available then, and today's high-end stuff will cost less.

shows a geforce 275 is as good over all an even down to the 260 cards is close enuff .realy hopeing this is true cause atm im runing 2 bfg geforce 260gtx cards in sli.
part of the card upgrade will be how big a monitor you use an its resolution .i stay at 1900x1200 an run high detail high quality . -

Quote:problem its realy for xp or backForgot to mention something useful in my earlier post, back before I had my current computer I ran CoH on a Pentium 1.7 with only 512 ram and a decent if outdated Geforce 6600 AGP graphics card.
My point is, while you might think the game wouldn't run at all, let alone acceptably, I did manage to make it run well enough, and how I did it was to use a freeware program called: "FreeRAM XP Pro". I havent needed to use that in about 2 years, and I no longer even have it installed. But, it might help some of you who are having the more severe memory issues, at least for the time being until the Devs can sort this leak out.
EDIT: Found the link to it, it's a newer version than the one I used to use.
http://www.yourwaresolutions.com/index.html
"Platforms: Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, 2003 Server, XP (NT4.x is unsupported) "
seems i used one vista would like as wellsimilar to this. -
this thread may explain the radom crashs i get when zoneing .when playing dungeon runners last year i used a program to free up ram cant atm find it as i have resinatalled sicne then . but maybe a program that frees ram up in real time might help?
-
tried the new drivers before had some problems with other programs with those drivers an went back to ones im useing now.i defrag about once a week ill do a check disk see what comes up.
thanks for pointers so far.tonight i had no disconects only layed for few hours didnt zone that much tho. -
found cohhelper link on boards did not worked so i googled it

i used http://hjt.networktechs.com/ to parse it they didnt see nothing major.
how do i get a COH helper parse file thing? -
its happend alot an it gets old. if let it run its course after 5 minutes or so ill get message at login unable to conect to database. OR disconected from database. then if try to log in from their it crashs.crtl/alt/delete an get out of it refire coh , log in game acount still active.. click ok log in again an im back in. its 5 to 15 minutes a time to get back in.
runing vista 32 4 gig ram. 260geforce 786mb bfg x2 in sli.its one of the things thats kept me from subing for a year.any help would be most apreciated . -
I would be intrested in helping when can .Tho theirs only two of us left in Watchdogs that log on regulary an i belive my friend rather likes virtue a bit better than protector these days.
As i pointed out in chat today,Going Rogue may change the sg dynamic alot.Imho groups like this an chat channels like jello shooters,Praesidium an Phantoms of War adds alot to the game. With out them its very much a lonely game much like some posters on mmorpg.com say about not seeing people in the game etc. -
Just a idea but server mergers would not be that big of a deal IF our toons names were tied to our chat handles ( similar to CO) so duplicate names would not be a problem.
-
been haveing this problem as well. its random some misions/zones load fine one time then hang another.if leting it run its course it will eventualy dump me to log in then when log in it will say acount is active . hit ok an re log an np logn in.
hit crtl alt delete get the pregram is not responding message. end task wait a minute an its closed relog wash a repete till get in . very anoying .
im runing vista 32 with service pack 3 .not sure why this is afecting some an not others but id guess it more visa users than not. -
virtue is haven some problems chat an zoneing into misisons .it went from bad to worse.in PI we cant get into mission it doesnt drop us or the game in task mananager does not show not responding but it woutn load zone or takes a good 10 minutes to load .
but on bright side ice sword aniamtions looked fine on protector . -
Thought enuff of this guide to put a link to it on our sg/vg site. And heres the link to prove it !
-
Thank you for your time an effort on this community.Atm i have no plans to play Tabula Rasa, tho now it does have another feature that would draw some of us their
Thanks kindly for leting me us the quote as a sig.For understanding its about the Point being made not the i's doted or t's crossed.
Good luck in your new job. -
This answered some questions i had on contacts cov side.Guessing its similar system coh side .This guide is unreal useful an as a player id like thank Tsukiyomi for the time an effort makeing it.
