Quote:I love your various posts. They are the awesome. Filled with Wit and Cunning, and even a little bit of Peter Venkman. Heh. Anyways, keep up the good work, it's hard to get a smile on my face in these forums, usually it's "That would never work" and "No they would never do that". It's so rare to see humorous ponderings that would never take place.I like how Epic is defined here as unique then used in plural when related to a single subject. The use of quantify is fun too.
Take no notice of me, I've just reached the maxmimum setting on my Boredom-O-Meter, where I begin to channel a mixture of Peter Venkman and River Tam.

Quote:This, Easily. I need more helms, and or parts. There are plenty of helms options that I can see being available, history has tons of em. I understand that this is City of HEROES but that doesn't me we don't have a few helm toting heroes out there. Thanks for asking. Not lost so much as just plain 'missing'
Helmets.
Full helmets to be precise. No, not the helmets themselves...
The options.
The new super booster added the bio-armor horns in, this is good. However... That's the first new part since I5.
Helmets are currently separated into three parts.
Detail 1: 12 parts, Mostly items that stick onto the side of the head with the exception of five that stick onto the forehead/top
Detail 2: 31 parts. One sticks on forehead (Antennae) Two stick to the side (Wings), Horns stick to top of the head while the rest are eye options.
Detail 3: 6 parts. All go around the mouth. (The lowest number of parts for any head option baring beast, no logical reason why there are so few when there are 20+ options that can go there)
Medieval helm only have one option. It has 28 parts. All horns.
These are very (As pointed out) sparely decorated. While lots of 'ear like' parts (Sat-Com, side scoops, etc.) there isn't anywhere to put them that doesn't take up a 'slot' so to speak. A nicer way to do it might be:
Upper: (Horns, parts that rest on top of the helmet/forehead)
Eyes: (Goggles, visors, eye pieces.)
Lower: (Breathers, mouth parts.)
Sides: (Sat-com, wings, ear pieces.)
Where the other options for the head (Barring beast, for being beasty) have so many options, it's strange that full helmets are missing so, so much and have been looked over being updated these parts as time's gone on. -
Quote:Alrighty, oh well. I was trying to make quite a few messages for my character to say. I have some 30 messages, and want to make about 6 keys, but I wouldn't remember which key was which, at least with macro's they are named. No, you can't do that.
However, you can make a rolling BIND, if you want, and bind it to a specific key.
I guess I will just have to start taking memory enhancing vitamins lol.
Thanks again guys. -
Quote:Is it possible to make a macro that references a key, instead of setting it's command? For instance can you have it Press a button instead of having a command set for it?No, there is no way to change the function of a macro on the fly. Sorry.
Example: Macro set /macro ENTER <macro presses enter> -
I know you can make a bind that replaces a previous bind, one that helps you say something different each time you press a button. However, I would like to do something similar with a macro, is there a away to use binds to make new macros?
Example: If I had a macro that says a greeting, can I make it say the greeting, load a bind that changes the macro so that the next time it says something different? Preferably three or more different sayings?
Thanks in advance, I did try to keep my post short but informative, this is my first thread. -
Ok, haven't /bugged this yet, but intending to. But if I try to right-click a teammate, or local person near my, and "add to global" it doesn't work. No amount of right-clicking works, I have to manually enter their global. It's really annoying cause it takes a minute or two to gather their global, more if your computer is freezing from the possible ram leak, of if that person is just slow to respond.
Anyways, I've had this problem reliably since i16, every single time i've tried to add a global. (Which I've done maybe 5 times.)
Anyways... Have fun guys! -
Quote:I think the airspeed of that unladen swallow, might be affected by something. Did the swallow just drop a burden of shrubbery, one that we may in fact deliver to the supergroup? If it did, the speed of the unladen swallow would be slower than that of a fully rested unladen swallow.I once joined a supergroup that required I provide them with a shrubbery. When I got them one they demanded another and insisted that I place it slightly higher than the first one so they'd get a two-level effect with a little path running down the middle. I said nuts to this and started my own shrubbery-less supergroup.
Off-topic, but does anyone know the air speed of an unladen swallow?
In a note to previous posters (as an afterthought I must admit,) I think that personal bases would take quite a bit of coding, and therefor it wouldn't be high on their priority. They might include it at some point, but they would probably wait to see if CO had it first, as they seem to be "borrowing" from that game alot lately. Or so I heard, I have yet to join that bandwagon. It's too much work, and I think I'd rather stick with offline promotions/demotions/invites.
So there's my two cents, buy yourself a double-scoop icecream at thrifty's. XD -
Quote:Macs are really quite gifted with graphics. But unfortunatly not so well gifted with videogames. There are a few bugs, but they usually get fixed in the long run.Hey. I have been having the same problems with my mouse. I heard from somebody player that they said that it coh has advanced in graphics and the macs arent good enough to play coh. Is that true?
Usually. I hope that they fix the mouse issue, seriously, it is a shame. -
Well I'm glad you were able to get it all for a reasonable price.
I guess hero-side people are just a bit greedy on the market sometime.
(To be fair, villain-side is the same, just for different things it seems.)
Have fun, and enjoy the double xp weekend! -
Oh, well thanks! Yes, the forums for this game are the best forums for a game that I have found.
People here can be the most useful, and the most entertaining to leave messages with. I haven't had much of a chance to write on the forums, but I've been perusing them for some 3 years or more. I have no complaints about it yet.
Good luck on that costume piece, and have a good day. -
*Edited for readability and punctuation*
Chances are, that it would be the cheaper price of the two, so that helps a little, but Major_T is right. Unfortunately the black market and Wentworth's aren't connected with their products.
I just realized I might be able to get on Protector, I could have a look around too. -
Just looked on wentworths on american servers.
Bone wings recipe is going for 2,000-60,000 inf right now.
Regenerating flesh is going for 10-250 inf.
Ruby is going for 400-750 inf.
Silver is going for 600-7,777 inf.
Possible grand total with invention cost is 8,010-73,777 inf.
Now on your server, it would have different costs possibly, but those are the basics.
Not too bad if you can get a good break from somebody who is helpful. -
It's gonna be a little expensive to buy it off of wentworths, but the rest of that is accurate to my knowledge. Shouldn't be too much, but these things are unpredictable.
Good Luck on getting the wings, if I played on that server, I'd buy you a set, but I can't even access it sadly. -
So... I read about 12 pages, and skimmed what I could, but I didn't see this anywhere, and being the naysayer that I am, I thought I would bring it up. (Even though it doesn't bug me personally.)
Super-Sidekicking with the new system of difficulty and exemplaring is awesome. There are no other words than that.
But... there are some players that really hate team invites, and now people will be spammed with team invites, even though they aren't the same level, because people will be more willing to invite higher levels, they would be assuming that the higher levels would be more willing to group with lower levels. This is not correct, many players have played so many lower level characters, that they have gotten tired of the lower level content, to such an extent that they would almost never chose to help with lower level characters anyways. (The possible spam is what there might be naysayers about.)
Anyways, the possible upside is... people would be less tired of the lower level missions because they can find more people to do their higher level missions with. (Also badge missions wouldn't be too bad of an issue, because we can still earn xp's exemplared, so it wouldn't be quite so tedious to get the fortune teller mission done, etc.)
So, personal opinion A+ issue guys, you have come through for me so many times, but I think this issue will have me day dreaming and drolling the whole time I wait for it.
I think it will meet with at least 80% Approval, that's amazing in this game. -

Happy Villainiversery.
So glad that I didn't spend this anniversary dressed up like a pirate, sitting in my cubicle for 6 hours patiently handing out yellow titles in Pocket D before shooting each of you with a teleport arrow. All while sick as a dog.
Ah, good times.

Ah, so it was you who got me sick BaB's.... Don't worry, I'll be better by tomorrow, I just know it, your powers won't reach past the Third, which is tomorrow.... HAHAHAHA -
Ok just something interesting to note. I don't think PVP is as important as you say, because as several people here mentioned... The pvp areas are almost always empty... Now heres the interesting part... I tried pvp, but I personally find it annoying in the idea that in coX you find out that there are only so many powersets and setups that are really at all good for pvp. I have experimented with all sorts of at's and powersets, and well, lets just say only some of those excel at pvp, and the rest are mostly pve. And some of the pvp excelling powersets also excel at pve... so the game is way more balanced for pve, as it has been since the arena opened. If it gets a little more balanced, I might just join in on all this pvp fun, but until then... I"m pve all the way.
