Honestly New_Dark_Age, your abilities as a troll would be pretty good in most other places like Fark or Reddit. There they would be bound to get a few rises even though a large percentage of the population there expects trolling. Now someplace like the WoW forums you don't have to put out any effort at all. Just type "You are stupid" and you will have people frothing at the mouth and typing death threats.

Problem is that the CoH forums are different. For some reason the forums here are home to mostly nice people. Most don't even respond to personal attacks, and if they do it is with a reasoned reply rather than blind hatred.

And a second problem is that if it does escalate to personal attacks, threats or outright racist statements then that person often winds up with a temporary or even permanent ban from the forum. Knowing this means that the people who post here frequently aren't going to rise to your bait and start spewing hate filled bile at you. Some of them might be saying those things out loud but they won't post them here because they don't want the ban. And those types who do post that sort of thing here do wind up banned so they aren't here to respond the next time a troll comes around.

My advice would be to try the pvp forums. Since it is a competitive forum there has been a greater degree of leniency there as far as posting insults and threats. You might actually get a rise out of somebody there. Good luck with your future endeavors in the trolling field.

So that's my problem. Lately I've been playing at the beginning of the day. No wonder I haven't been having as much fun. I'm going to have to switch back to night time playing.

I still street sweep Perez with low level characters quite often. It's a good way to get magic salvage which still goes for relatively decent prices on the market. And it's the best way to get the Bonecrusher and Kil Skulls badges.

Doing some minor searching it looks like there is a possibility your system might need replacing. The problem is (at least according to a couple message boards I read) is that the 530s is deliberately built slim and it's almost impossible to find a replacement power supply that will fit.

So it looks like MikeRobe may be right. Your best option might be getting a new system and putting in your old drive as a secondary. Terrible news on Christmas Eve I know. You live anywhere in the Seattle area? I've got enough old parts laying around that I could probably throw something together. It would probably even be better than your Dell.

In case you aren't aware. Prometheus takes place in the same universe as Alien and is a prologue of sorts.

There is no such thing as a bad movie, a bad song, a bad book, a bad television show, a bad game or a bad any other form of entertainment. There are only things you you personally really like, think are so-so or hate. Just like food entertainment is subjective.

Some people think Anchorman is hilariously brilliant. I despise it so much that I would rather spend an entire hour listening to a tone deaf drunk sing along with Lady Gaga songs than watch it. But that doesn't mean that the movie is brilliant or horrible. It just means that some people like it and I don't.

And sorry Dark but you went a little overboard on your examples post. You were trolling at a level of 8 out of 10 before. You managed to get a rise out of a few people but nobody had yet started frothing at the mouth. Then you gave examples like "Yeah what is a woman doing in a remote base, yeah what is a black guy doing in Norway, that kid should have banged the girl when she was drunk." dead giveaway. Overall not bad but the secret is to not get overly impatient and take a huge leap forward when trolling, you have to gradually amp it up. The rest of the examples you used would have been a good increase and probably had people looking up specific examples to site but those three just pushed it over the edge.

Still, not bad.

Gosh darn kids. Always listening to that rock and roll stuff. That ain't music, it's just plain terrible. I tell you when I was a kid we had real music like Minnie the Moocher and Jeepers Creepers.

Something else I'm seeing. Every time I'm mapserved I have serious lag loading the forums. Any other website pops right up but the forums take a long time to load or actually time out. Once I do get them to load though there is no further delay. And the lag only happens after a mapserve.

Ok, where I'm seeing it universally is to and from pocket d and ouroboros.

Wow! Seven plus years of playing and finally one of the bugs has hit me. I'm not sure what to do in this situation. Am I supposed to post complaints in multiple threads or just rage quit?

I'm not quite sure which option I should use if either. So for right now I'll just try to figure out why it seems to affect certain of my characters a lot and others almost not at all.

Every time they dump a great companion I feel like giving up on the show. But I hang in there through the new and start enjoying it again. Except for Donna where I hated the series while she was on and started liking it again after she was gone. Being a whining shrew does not mean depth of character.

However I would love to see an Amy/Rory spin off. Sort of like a space going Torchwood.

Still haven't seen the first one though I own it on blu-ray. What can I say? Amazon had a <$8 sale on the br/dvd/d version. Maybe I'll watch it this weekend.

My two cents. The dialogue does seem somewhat iffy in one manner. If any of us here were to link to a video which showed a woman being beat up and moaning out that sort of dialogue then that post would most likely be deleted. And we would likely receive a pm stating that it was not appropriate for a rated T forum. Then again the forum mods on occasion can be as sensitive as grandmothers at a church function.

Now as to the swearing in game. As has been stated by devs multiple times (though likely not in these exact words) the filters are like seat belts and airbags. They are in the game in case of accidents. Not so you can go around running your car into whoever or whatever you like.
