Well, I just had the horrible thought that it'd end up feeling like the new Teen Wolf... Not so much the sparkle from Twilight, but the emo bizzaro love triangle nonsense.
-
As long as they don't turn it into Twilight with ghosts I'll be on board!
-
It's a SuperGroup not a Guild.
They are Missions not Quests.
Your look is up to you, nothing you wear affects performance.
Make Alts, nothing says you can only play one character.
Don't advertise yourself as a Healorz, you are a defender.
Turn off Quills in WentWorths... -
Will do, I've been following it since the 1st book was nothing more than an online journal! Been really looking forward to getting into this one.
-
You can only grab it (atm) on facebook. That's not saying it won't be in the Store eventually but...
I got mine on the 1st go around!
As an aside, with official announcements having thread titles like this, is it any wonder why we say our Dev's are the best in the industry?!
Quote:NCSoft nor Paragon Studio's have any influence on International trade laws concerning Promotions, Giveaways, Contests or the like. I don't understand this constant need to feel like the EU is always 'picked on'excluding European Union.
Since when is Facebook region based and suddenly the 'big merge' remains a US/EU devided game? The new gamecases can Antec, US only, this goody and comic com.. US only. Irony kicks in already.
Contests like this are usually not applicable in U.S. States like Rhode Island, the very state our imaginary Paragon resides, yet American's aren't crying that not every state can participate... As far as the Con's go. I live in the U.S. but I'll never be able to attend one since they are on the far coast from me, should I be crying over that? -
Welcome back! Though technically, once Freedom is live nobody will be 'gone for good' still good to see some big names coming back.
-
-
I've never got around to;
Bladerunner
Dune
Star Trek -Wrath of Khan
to name just a few of the 'big uns'
My friends tell me I also lose 'a ton' of geek cred since I've only read Lord of the Rings and haven't seen any of the movies... -
Quote:I wouldn't say the whole thread is a non-issue, perhaps those particular two topics are but the thread was intended to make us think of all the small little things we wouldn't otherwise. In order to be able to access supergroups, tells, trading and e-mails an account only has to reach Tier 2. That's all.
To get to Tier 2 requires you spend $15 OR having a retail code applied to your account. Well look here, a retail code is going to cost only $9.99 after Aug 29. And don't forget you can still buy an old box (sealed, brand new) for $1 on Amazon. Retail code and one month free for $1 (OK, plus $5 shipping).
I think this whole thread is a non-issue.
We have numerous threads discussing the large sweeping changes.
This one is for all the small 'possible' ways those changes could alter the community we've grown accustomed to.
Personally, I think it'll be a positive change. I was just curious to see what others would think and perhaps point out some of the small little roadblocks getting overlooked. (i.e. not passing inspirations, etc) -
Really? My money would be on Anti-Matter being our Brutus.

So, thinking about the Eochai vs Jack fight that takes place in Croatoa made me curious about a few things.
First, does either one of them ever win? I've stood on the hill and watched them for a bit once or twice, marveled at the scope of it, but always left without noticing if their healthbars were actually moving. Is it a constant stalemate? Do they actually put each other down?
Which led me to wonder what would happen if we had a Giant Monster fight club.
Who would win;
Jurassik VS Adamaster
Babbage VS Titan
Paladin VS Kraken
U'Kon VS Winter Lord
Deathsurge VS Scrappy
Also makes me think it would be cool to have GM's as gladiators. GM battle royales. If for no other reason than the cool factor.
Thoughts? -
Hmm, now I'm curious if the MapPack will get an update for the new zones and badges. Anyone know?
-
I highly suspect that one of the upper tiers of Incarnate powers will infact give us a way to defend against untyped damage...
I also highly suspect that this upper tier will be even harder to get than T4 is now.
I also very highly suspect that we will be required to have said tier unlocked to even participate in The Coming Storm content...
(Heres to hoping my speculation isn't accurate) -
Wonder what that portends for Cole and his Praetorian Guard, otherwise known as Powers Division...
Hmm... Perhaps we will get some 'assistance' once it comes time to take him down. -
The Praetorian Guard were actually the Secret Service of Rome. They acted as the elite bodyguards for Emperors and Senators.
So it's not that shocking to see a security firm label their gear as such.
Would've jumped out at me though, being as you don't see that word much unless you play our game. -
Quote:This is a very good point. The sentiment also seems to be that Freebers won't stay Free for long, as the temptation to purchase even something basic would be that much greater if they aren't paying anything at the time. So perhaps it will be a non-issue and the majority of 'new blood' we get will actually be at Premium level...
We should keep in mind that while we have an obligation to integrate the new players that arrive with Freedom, we have no obligation to hand the game to them.
*Runs off to examine what is open at that level* -
Prince of Thieves rocked.
My choice would be same as Tymers; Batman and Robin. All-Star lineup, terrible terrible movie. -
Quote:I don't doubt it, large mammals have been shown to be extra sensitive to vibrations and changes in pressure.I think my horse felt this coming just before it hit - I was brushing him down, and he went totally still for like a minute before the quake hit.
Quote:At 5.9, it is the strongest quake in the recorded history of the Central Virginia area. It is tied for the strongest recorded quake in the entire state. The last 5.9 was in the late 1800s.
So, while the extent of the damage is, thankfully, low by comparison to major earthquakes of note, it is indeed a moment in history. -
There will be once Issue 21 is released.
However, as it hasn't yet. Sounds like a bug. You are correct that you can't leave Praetoria or the Isles until level 20.
Edit to add: I'm not sure but it might be possible that they were expem'd down. -
Quote:This is why I still only have 2 villains. I've made more naturally, just never could 'develop' a story with the truly Evil ones. I never thought about it before now though. The only villainous activity I can get into myself isn't all that evil. One guy is consumed with the need to rid Praetoria of the Powers Division (he's actually working for Cole) and found the Coral in the Isles to be the perfect way to augment his powers.I envy you guys who can just go out and say "Meh, I like these and these kinds of villains. Period." because I honestly couldn't do that. I'm trying to go through my rogues' gallery, so to speak, and figure out why some of those villains don't seem to conform to the kind of villains I claim I like.
The other is just wanting to die, once and for all, with no afterlife to be trapped in again... -
I believe you can still give things like insp and enhancements.
I thought about suggesting that, if a freeber wins a CC, instead of influence we could offer a rare recipe or such. Though, they are limited in use of the market as well. It's also worth noting that I doubt most players enter CC's for the influence. I suspect most do it for the recognition. So it's probably a non issue.
