  1. i was thinking that this year there would be boxes of chocolate spread around the zones we open them and get either insp or candy kisses, open enough and a giant cookie monster would spawn, defeat him . then a candy heart would be left behind that would open a portal to the candyland, where we defeat the giant cookie monster, and get a badge of crossed candy bars.
  2. you misunderstood my post,I am the first, last and only member of my SG/VG,did it all on my own.,if i were to lose that due to a server merger, i would be not happy.
  3. well while this is nice, i want to ask IF and IF they do shut down servers, what would happen to my SG? and base? i have a 1 person SG/VG and I spent a LOT of time building. if it could not transfer, I would be VERY upset. and I assume others are in similar spot.I have used only 7 transfers from the first week,

  5. well first the game caught in Dev limbo was Duke Nukem Forever, 10 years they kept saying

    "Soon"

now getting back to Going Rogue, the way i understand it, you start a char and after 20 lvls, you decide which side to go to, I have not taken a detailed look at all the power sets, but
is there not differences in the power choices for those first few lvls? so if i go to the hero side
or villian side ,do I have to respec? like the VEATS?
  6. hi,
is anyone running a SSD? andif so how much better does COx run/load/etc?

currently I'm running a 10k rpm drive and wonder if i would get any boost.

    Thank you
  7. i had to back down to the 191.07 drivers for the same problem to be fixed, i have win7 64 with a 285 ,i started getting the problem when i upgraded to the new 196 series

be sure to run a drvier cleaner of some sort
  8. my bad i ment 196.21, they were release 1-19-2010,
  9. MadHobbit

    No PMs

well here are the possibilities that I see,

    1. BABs said something in a PM that got out and caused him trouble at work,he "leaked".
    2. someone else did #1 and BABs wants to keep himself from doing the same.
    3. someone sent a very bad PM to BABs and really flamed him
    4. he is going to be busy with GR
    5. he is leaving to game to go elsewhere and this is a preemptive shutdown
6.there is a new policy at work that devs must get approval for all postings(pre-screened)
    7.BABs is getting burned out.
    8. something is "wrong" at his home, family illiness, etc
9.BABS is going back to school and needs the time for studies

    Just my thoughts
  10. hi,
new release of the nvidia drivers came out yesterday, I upgraded and started to get the opengl error. I had to drop back to the 191.07 drivers, after runing driver cleaner.

my specs are win7 pro 64 bit, nvidia gtx 285.

    just a fair warning.
  11. im going to be more curious to see what the final totals of chars are on the servers after this is over, already one player has left my server completely.
  12. MadHobbit

    2x merit weekend

well last 2x weekend the first day there was no 2x in AE,then they"fixed" it and there was 2x in AE
  13. MadHobbit

    2x merit weekend

well yes there are one or two that would be a bit crazy, but look at the other side, villians have no large merit tfs like dr q, what i see happening is almost the same as 2x xp weekends, a lot of people doing ITF/LG

i would do 3 itf with a char, and get a total of 156 or so merits , which would go a long way to getting certain recipes needed.

unlike 2x xp weekend ,people would not be haunting AE and be out in the "world".during a 2x xp weekend at least on my server we mostly do clear alls to get max XP/inf.
and rememeber no one forces you to get 2x merits, just do normal things and not get rewards, do no tfs, or takedown GMs or even play if you dont want,I am just suggesting ideas to help maybe jump start some more playing.

and if you dont like the merits, make a high priced recipe and sell it on the market.
  14. MadHobbit

    2x merit weekend

hey ,how about a 2x merit weekend? the 2x xp weekend is fine, but with the new SSK and patrol xp you can lvl up pretty fast now. there are recipes I would like to buy that a 2x weekend would make a lot easier. and some people would make the recipes and sell on the markets,50+ mill for a recipe would go far in outfitting a toon.
  15. well some of them only do 2 ,like damage /acc or heal/end,yes they were 50% originally, they were nerfed due to toons having them 6 slotted and being able to solo tfs and other stuff, right now purple recipes give 52 %,and they are totally on the luck of the drop. my server is a low pop and we sometimes have raids, but if they were worth more there would be more raids.

and if they were raised the selling price would go up for a while then back down as supply would go up.

you also used to have another row of insp slots, that the DEVS removed saying the engine could not handle them,
  16. how aobut one to allow you to story recipes in your base?
  17. i think they might shoot for the 6 year mark of the game, that is q2
  18. how about restoring the original values of the hamis? with ED now they main reason is no longer valid. then are not much more than IO and have to be earned ,not recipes bought,
Yes i know you can buy them at WW/BM but not at a invention table.
  19. well pinn can be a fun server,my only complaint is that when it comes to these events that require 2-3 teams some times it a bit hard getting one going blue side and even harder red, after the first few days where all the badges are raced after and while it is nice to have the same people on a team a lot sometimes "fresh" blood is needed to give us a different view on problem solving in the game.
  20. MadHobbit

    Bases

well you have done a lot of work, but i have aquestion or two,are hallways so full to be choke points in a raid? I got a feeling of claustphobia in someof the rooms, and in the hallways, i think the term is the rooms were "too busy" the tech rooms seemed to have a clean feel to them and the arcane rooms like you put as much you could in, the 2nd lvl was nice in the crafting room with the stairs.

    very nice base otherwise

  22. hey maybe it will be a special booster pack next year, they are allways looking for ways to boost the bottom line and sell us stuff, they already had a valentine pack/wedding pack
  23. ty , i thought i might be me but as the power is for others i was not sure
  24. well the beta should be opening up soon ,which will be a good thing /bad thing, lots of less guessing, but under a NDA,like working in a candy shop and cant eat suger, while what i have seen and read on GR is great for CURRENT players, I dont see a good hook to bring in NEW players.
i hope they get some money to advertise a bit, I think a smart trailer for the game, shown in theaters during either the movie kick-*** or Iron Man 2 might help a lot,or even a tv spot during say heroes might help. they could make the greatest game in the world ,but if no body hears about it ,to borrow from one movie"If they hear about it,they will come"
  25. hi,
got a question my plant/thermal controller has two shields I can cast on others, not myself.

if i put a full set of SP in it who gets the knockback protection? I assume the person I cast it on.
