Overwhelming Force seemed like a test run for it. They wanted to see if it would break the game, I'd bet. That's why the only way to get it was an event that is now over, and it's a unique. So if it caused too many problems, those problems would eventually just go away.

Since it appears to have not broken the game, I'd assume there will be more.

I honestly don't know how playable a petless Mastermind is or could ever be. The only real "problem" with it is that some teams might not be willing to tolerate someone playing something that gimp by design. A petless Mastermind player has to be willing to understand that some people won't want him/her on a team. But if you can get past that then I don't have a big deal with someone trying this as sort of fun semi-serious experiment.
Actually at the high end human form Peacebringers are just as good, if not better, than triform peacebringers.

Its more like a tanker not having any of his armor powers.
  3. Kinetics doesn't really need a rebalancing. It is an enjoyable set and really not overpowered at all. Fulcrum Shift is amazing, yes, but Kinetics offers almost nothing in the way of survivability. The entire point of Kinetics is "offense is the best defense", to kill the enemy before they have a chance to kill you. Unlike other support sets (Time, Dark, FF, Sonic, Therm) which make it nearly impossible to kill you.

It is very well balanced to its brethren.

    This just in!

So rejoice my squidly brethren, for now we can explode much more often and with no crash to speak of.

    The Chainsaws are silent.

I wish they weren't, but they are.
  7. Its more appropriate to walk into a group and watch them cower in fear than it is to walk into a group and watch them stumble around in a drunken stupor.

Well that's why I do it, anyhow.
  8. They don't want chainsaws, they want chainswords.

Which I would like too, but changing an actual chainsaw into one doesn't make much sense.

A chainsword later on would be really really cool, but this is a chainsaw. And it is cool.

Mind you, I'm personally all for a team of 8 characters creating a cacophonic chorus with their chainsawds of DOOM.
Then they can turn off their sound.

We already have loads of noises in the game, including Goth Lassie. This won't be worse than that.

Also it is possible to remove specific sound files.

Dink, if you or someone else did this you would have my undying gratitude.

C'mon, you know you want to.

    You can't resist it.

    Give in to the temptation.

    Unleash the noisy chainsaws!

Seriously, name the name. I'll do it.

    With a chainsaw.

You can even record it for the proper noise.

And if someone complains about the noise, oh I already have a chainsaw in my hands.
  12. Stupid Cosmic Corsair and its stupid overpriced superpacks. They knew I was gonna make a StJ/Bio Cthulu worshiping pirate, didn't they? And now I need this.

    Curse you, Paragon!

People have been asking for this for years, and though I never felt it strictly "necessary," that's where I foresee things going.

Personally, I'd like to see all powers in all powersets done such that they have a use even for a solo player. This doesn't have to be AS POWERFUL a use as in a team context, but just being able to get SOME benefit would be appreciated.

Chiefly, I want to see Mastermind Support set "resurrection" powers given some use. I'm not sure why pets are made to be impossible to resurrect considering how slow these powers are and how much they cost, but if that's not an option, then I'd like to see them offer buffs or debuffs on still-living targets.
Probably so a /Dark user can't use Howling Twilight after all their pets get wiped.
  14. Oh. Well, been a while since I did the DA arc. Gets hazy. I do remember that the Avatar of Mot was extremely anti-climactic because it was only an EB even on max difficulty.
  15. Well Tub Ci was just a Boss, wasn't he? Chimera is an AV, or EB with low difficulty. Even as an AV he's not too rough. My main ate him for brunch.
  16. Theres also The Emepror's Sword in night ward.

  18. I said the LOOKED great, as in the aesthetics of it. I have no comment on the statistics yet.
  19. I think we didn't need more NPCs with dark control. The Drudges were bad enough.

    Best thing in the update.
  21. I've no clue. I certainly hope so, the proc aside it was a very fun event.

I've not gotten hit by a single pie since I integrated it into all my builds.
  23. The Overwhelming Force proc (the KB to KD enhancement) cannot be gotten from the game anymore. It was a reward in the summer blockbuster event. It is only available on the market, and I suggest getting it very soon as the price is skyrocketing due to there being no way to get it anymore.
  24. Well of course I'd like it. But should it happen? No.
