Even if they didn't have Brawl they'd still run in. The second tier pet in Robotics has no melee attacks whatsoever, not even Brawl, and it still runs in to melee if it runs out of things to do at range. It needs an AI change, not a power change. Mercs, Ninjas, maybe beasts and necro all need power changes as well.

Quote:That sort of skill works for things like an FPS, but for an MMO? Not so much. MMOs require knowledge of the game mechanics. You can't start up an MMO and instantly be one of the best players. It takes work, and the ability to learn.I always felt that skill in video games was always more about intuition and instincts than being able to run things at the highest level. Anything is easy with practice I prefer to test my skill by noticing the mechanics of a game the first time through with no reference guides.

With the whole Empathy becoming Selfishness thing... think about it this way:
Those who already take Empathy and care about others will continue to care about others and buff teamates.
Those who never take Empathy and don't care about others will continue to not care about others and buff themselves.
The team in Scenario B is still getting overflow buffs that they wouldn't have gotten if that character didn't exist in the first place. -
Technically the absorb cap is 0. All powers that add absorb increase your absorb cap by the amount they add, so if its a toggle it won't stack with itself.
Because of this, I don't think there is a maximum amount of absorb you can have so long as you get a lot of buffs from different source. Perhaps absorb cannot go higher than your actual health bar. -
Both will laugh in the face of normal (and probably incarnate) content, so the question is really of concept.
Personally I'd find it easier to make a bot/time concept than a thug/time. -
Actually, MM pets already automatically attack their master when their master is confused. And MMs still rule the BAFlands.

Technically, the stories can't be more mature than about 14. The game has a T rating.
As for the character quality, that is baked into every facet of the game. Dink once said that altering the base character model in any way would bring doomy dooms of doom for the entire game. -
You're forgetting the twelve slots per server. You start with two. Not two per server, but two. I dropped to Premium for a while and I couldn't deal with only having two characters, so I went VIP again.
While I'm not a fan of iTrials (my computer can't take it) I do enjoy the solo incarnate content. I'd miss that.
I'd also miss all those 7 extra sets I'd have to buy, especially Time Manipulation. -
Both would be solid, but /Time would be much more solid, much easier. A lot of /Nature's buffs require a good amount of global recharge to actually make perma, while you can make Farsight perma on SO's, and Time's Juncture is a toggle. With Power Boost and Scorpion Shield you are effectively far above the soft cap. Beasts have both defense and resistance to build off so both would be good choices.

I don't see how someone can play Mercs and think running into melee isn't a problem. It makes them take more damage, cycle attacks horrible, and only hit one or two enemies with cones.
-
The idea of a Tank Mage being overpowered is based on the assumption that blasting sets do more damage than melee sets. They don't.

Hmm. To nerf the devs, not an easy feat.
What kind of nerfing are we talking about? ED (drug them, leave them in a dumpster in some city beginning with S), or Regen (sit them down, talk them into making the game a democracy, if they don't agree drug them and leave them in a dumpster in some city beginning with S). -
It is obvious that Dark Respite's goal is to get the entire forum drunks out of it's mind. I believe I will assist.
This post is a slap to the face to me, the entire gaming community, and my dog.I have over thirty veteran badges and have been playing 11 months, I deserve RESPECT.. You, Samuraiko, are the hitler of posters! You are a fascist, elitist tankmage who will DOOM this game. The so-called devs should strike you down where you stand. I deserve compensation for the overwhelming MINUTES I spent reading your post!
Your post violates my rights in THE FIRST AMENDMENT somehow. You, like the entirety of all updatesincluding the ones I know nothing about and was not around for, are RUINING this game for ALL of us!
THATs it, I'm DONE! You can take your thread and shove it up your first amendment, I QUIT!
Right after I stick around for a few more years. -
Hmmm. This proc also adds a 20% chance for knockdown in powers without knocback. Does it give all of the Genin's non-Crane Kick attacks a chance for knockdown?
-
This is so going in my Genin.

I normally don't notice it, due to playing only Masterminds and Controllers when it comes to most support sets. I have never had a defender and my only corruptor is water/time.
That said, I'd like to be able to target myself. -

The whole "ll of them are Slavic" thing is a mess and innacurate. I'm not gonna argue for the stupid accents to remain in everyone, especially when it is clearly stated in the new mission line that they are simply recruiting anyone who they can get addicted, or anyone who has no where else to go and is on their last legs. Mostly refugees. Nowhere do they say they limit themselves to those of Slavic origin.
As for the look of the leaders... that isn't a retcon. IIRC te leaders had never made an actual appearance before, so it isn't a change. They are just adding their looks in.
So aside from the stupid accents that are stupid, I'm still not seeing the huge change. -
Exactly what is the huge retcon? They go from a death cult that dresses in black and white, to a more interesting death cult that dresses in black and white and has some Slavic leaders.

Oh, I thought you meant how much actual strength (measured in facepunches per square inch) it'd take.
I know nothing of tabletop gaming, so I'll duck out. -
I would hate it if they just removed the self rez powers. Those things are awesome, especially DA's and its 30 mag stun. And Rise of the Phoenix is amazing. Even the more boring ones are still useful, because no matter how invincible you look on paper, something will happen and you will die.

Depends on the weight of the target, but Knockout blow would be the best measurement. Also Footstomp.
First: How strong would you have to be to punch someone in the gut and send them up however many feet KoB does? I'd use a human sized enemy to measure this.
Second: How strong would you have to be to cause a shockwave that can knock people over by slamming your foot in the ground?
Both of those would probably have very different answers. I'm not sure the second one is possible without really dense ground.
