Thugs or Bots with /Time ?
Havn't played a MM with Time, but I have played MMs and cor/def with time.
I doubt you will haev any issues missing the bots shield, Time has its own Def buff, along with plenty of -tohit debuffs to toss out (the PBAoE Toggle alone is -9.38% tohit debuff... and you can slot it). Farsight is a base 9.38% Def vs all buff. You can make it perma, and buff its defense up as well. So thats a huge plus in your def well over the 11% on the protectors shields.
If your doing Thugs as well, Thugs themselves have manuver from thier enforcers to help with thier def. (Both enforcer have thier own toggles of Manuver, Tactics, and Assault. They dont effect you however).
Main: Praetor Imperium Elec/SS/Mu
Tough call because of the damage types robot has compared to thugs. But the last pet in Thugs would need time because of the pbaoe defenses Time offers.
I know a player here did have a Bots time which he would teleport into fights with and he said it was great. The name escapes me and I am being lazy to look it up it was Cyst or something like that.
I'm thinking Bots only because of the damage type they offer.

Yes, it was Psylenz and Crysys who were talking about TPing into groups. I read a few of their posts while looking for any tips on time.
From a min/max perspective, bots do really look like the best choice for what I want to do. I know thugs are really good too, but I think bots will serve me better in the long run for reaching incarnate defense cap as well as everything and their mom resisting all the lethal damage of thugs.
I went Thugs/Time and have enjoyed them ever since. Bots/Time is good too though, so it is all a personal preference deal.
The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.
Both will laugh in the face of normal (and probably incarnate) content, so the question is really of concept.
Personally I'd find it easier to make a bot/time concept than a thug/time.
I rolled a couple MMs the other night since I have yet to try /Time since coming back to the game. I already have a 50 bots/traps that I haven't touched in a couple years, so thugs seems like a good change up but I'm afraid that I'll miss the 11% defense (after enhancements) shield from the Bots when it comes to Incarnate stuff.
Any thugs/time MMs out there that can tell me that they don't need/miss the shield from bots?
