I've already run it through Word, but dyslexia is a burger.
[/ QUOTE ]Well, post it up somewhere and I'll take a look at it when I have a bit of time. -
[ QUOTE ]
The Prisoners group was removed, but it looks like the prisoner mobs that I had in a custom group still remained valid.
[/ QUOTE ]If newly uploaded groups also pass the check that's a huuuuge exploit, since you can freely edit the group files. -
[ QUOTE ]
Maybe the Col. could have a look at Total Domination, and someone else would go over Steel and Gold? I could do with help tracking down the typos.
[/ QUOTE ]You want to upload the mission file? It's much faster to proofread, and you're less likely to miss stuff. -

It's like the blooming farming issue.
[/ QUOTE ]
I was in the middle of testing this before the servers went down. I don't have any information on what you can do with the MA farming wise, but if what I am planning can actually happen... well, leveling won't be a chore.
[/ QUOTE ]Well, you can do huge boss-only spawns with nothing but melee powers, making a team of controllers with the right powersets quite effective. -
[ QUOTE ]
I dunno about that, it sounds to me like the drek map could simply be improperly labeled. All the maps I have tested on have the correct number of maximum defendable objects as listed. I've been testing on a small map, that allows 4 "any type", and it does indeed alow 4 defendable objects.
[/ QUOTE ]Try large maps, say, in the 20+ allowed range or so. Anything with more defendable objects than ambushes listed allowed still only allows the smaller number. Same vice versa. -
[ QUOTE ]
What I think must be happening is the defendable object is failing to flag a spawn point as taken, when it spawns.
[/ QUOTE ]Might be related to the fact that defendable points actually need two types of spots, an ambush spot as well as a defenable object spot. For example, the "Dreck" map only allows 61 defendable objects whereas it states it supports 90. -

A rar can be equally simple, but can be a bugger to unpack.
[/ QUOTE ]It's far more likely that the average user is able to unpack a zip/rar (especially a self-extracting archive), than that they know how to mount a disk image. -
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
But why a disk image rather than just a simple compressed archive?
[/ QUOTE ]
Because ISO's are easier to handle than archive's. A disc image you can just mount and you're off. An archive you have to unzip/unrar, requiring a minimum of double the disc space, and for a 3.5GB+ file, that would take a fair while, especially on older machines.
[/ QUOTE ]An ISO will require the space for the ISO and the space for the installed game files. A rar will require space for the rar and the extracted game files. Those sums are pretty much the same. -
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
And how would downloading a disk image and installing from it be any more useful than just downloading the game files?
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, for a start, it would open the possibility of mirrors hosting the ISO, and for people who seem to get very slow downloads via the updater, would probably mean they can download the game a lot faster.

...so burn the game client to a DvD then... it's only 3 gig
[/ QUOTE ]
I have, but that's not the point! I'd like a proper, up to date, installer!! Besides, not everyone HAS a DVD burner, you know. Even in this day and age...
[/ QUOTE ]So what's that .iso going to be good for?

Unpublishing possibly leaves a copy of the mission on the arc servers (in case there are serious complaints due to content - just like chat logs are kept) but publishing an arc a second time does not link it to any copies that were previously published.
[/ QUOTE ]However, any account publishing a large number of arcs is going to raise suspicion, especially after the initial rush dies down. -

Welcome back your MaXimilitude. I trust you'll have the MA in tears very soon?
[/ QUOTE ]Well, that, or get banned, whichever comes first.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, just cut down on the furries in your arcs then
[/ QUOTE ]Oh, I didn't even think of using furries as well...although that might bump the mission count too high... -

I just wish everyone would stop using the bloody ships.
Last night I picked 4 on the trot that were all inside ships.
[/ QUOTE ]
It would be very difficult to tell a story about pirates in the caribbean without at least one mission set on a ship.
[/ QUOTE ]You could have them set in a tech lab or university instead. -

I guess it's only me who sees it as odd that the buffs granted by Mystic Fortune are based on the Major Arcana of the Tarot when IIRC many Christian religious groups don't take much to the Tarot...
[/ QUOTE ]It's a videogame, thus, it's not real. People who can't make that distinction would be labeled as mentally unstable by most.

The little ray of sunshine has returned!
Welcome back MaX!
[/ QUOTE ]Why thank you.
I wasn't planning to come back quite yet but I simply couldn't resist CoV CE for 10.
Plus I kinda want to see how many ways for breaking the architect I can find. -
[ QUOTE ]
My friends and i are smart though and don't leave them published, simple way to stop them getting noticed and deleted.
We don't want people noticing our 1-50 in 6 hours farm now would we.
[/ QUOTE ]Are you honestly this daft? Whether they're unpublished or not makes zero difference, the devs are obviously going to keep an eye out for both fast levelling characters and missions that have been unpublished and republished several times. Any features that allow gaining XP faster than they determine acceptable are going to get changed quite quickly. -

I see City of Heroes: Architect Edition has just been released, no sign of it in Europe though.

The entire game lore about 5th and Council is a big mess, mostly due to the way all 5th arcs were changed to ones with council.
It'll probably all either get retconned or explained by time-travel-related inconsistencies. -

You're back too??! Awesome

I just wish there was a "stop earning Double XP, but keep earning normal XP" option.

Pics of the shattered CoH CD, otherwise, it's only a "see you later"

Now, what's this inventing malarky all about?
[/ QUOTE ]Phat lewt, mostly. -

I know that sounds vague but believe me, when you have over 3500 hours on a toon you have a spidey-sense for when something is amiss.
[/ QUOTE ]You'd think that, but we usually have a "ToHit/Accuracy/Endurance was nerfed?!" thread after every other issue even though no changes have happened
