  1. I...really don't have any current characters that need to change their power colors that much. Interested in the 'alternate' Super Strength, though. Thinking it may be time to finally buy character slots, however.

(Edit: Forgot about my Fire/Rad. Will probably give him green fire.)

    I haz arts, too!

Liz does such great work. I need to break out the piggy bank and have her do a sketch.

    [/ QUOTE ]Same.

Which is weird because that's unlike the other "go talk to this contact who may or may not have stuff to give you" missions. It's weird that they're not just outright droppable.

Thing was with that, is *the security chief was for a zone I wasn't anywhere near*, and I didn't feel like going there. Just like with Wincott, it operates visibly like everything else, but then just ... doesn't.

[/ QUOTE ]Actually, that still sounds like all of the Security Chief missions I've ever run. As level X they want you to talk to Security Chief A, who will then send to you hunt Y of villain group Z.

Where is the super tailor or "cosmetic surgeon" as it says in the ncstore. I can't find him on villains and haven't even tried yet on heroes.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The Icon/ Facemaker interface is different if you get the Science booster pack. You can go to any tailor for the new features.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Does it not work on SOAS then? I was wanting to turn my male crabspider into a huge crabspider.

[/ QUOTE ]Not every tailor has been changed to allow height/build manipulation. Look for the word 'surgeon' in the name for this feature.
  5. Even if you do choose to accept his missions - his entire arc is two hunt missions and two linked doors. The Hollows arc is actually four separate contact arcs, so the moment he says 'I have a friend for you' you can hit the door without even having a mini arc open.
  6. So, now I've got the image in my head of Deadpool with the Green Lantern ring. It doesn't end any better than when he wielded Mjolnir.
  7. Not to mention, she was the mind behind the second Winter event. The one that introduced the JingleJet, and had the missions where you clicked five presents to 'steal' or 'recover' depending on which side you were on.

It seems to me that sandbox style gameplay doesn't generally involve congregating in a single room around a pillar of light.

    [/ QUOTE ]

the pillar of light is substantially more attractive than most of the other mission entrances in the game.

[/ QUOTE ]For some reason, when I read this I saw the Mission Architect entrance as one giant bug-zapper. Maybe that's Aeon's master plan?
  9. Speed Freaks and the Hive are waiting and ready for your return
  10. Funny, I skipped Stamina on teh Wolf portion of the spider because I knew I could respec into it just four levels after it was available. And I wouldn't have to bother with a Trial to do it. It wasn't worth it in my mind to gimp my Wolf build for four levels of Stamina.

Keep going, Inokis. This is worth doing. Those first 23 SoA levels are very, very tough: in fact that would be a good era to AE-farm through. Serious pain lurks therein. But once you hit 24, the regular-mission fun never stops.

    [/ QUOTE ]

1-15 wasn't bad. That little hell between 15-22 though was horrible. Like I said earlier I had to drop the difficulty down to do some of the missions in that range. It may be better or worse on different ATs but so far my MM is the only one I've taken this high. I'll probably take my Ele/Ele blaster up that high in conjuntion with my Spider once I unlock VEATs.

So far I'm glad I've played COH. I nearly wrote all NCSoft games off after what happened with Tabula Rasa. I will always wish they kept that game going.

[/ QUOTE ]I believe Bad was referring to the first 23 levels of the VEAT. For some reason, most folks have a lot of trouble playing the Soldiers before they hit their branches. I just thought of it as an Assault Rifle blaster, which I'd already played through (oddly enough, the Blaster's concept was an Ex-Arachnos Soldier, so that only helped).

Hm, the question is now "was that the only icon fixed?"

    [/ QUOTE ]

They also fixed the mission teleporter icon graphic.

[/ QUOTE ]This is true, I was more thinking about the other long standing ones though, such as Rad's toggles and the like.

Now see, this is the problem. A TF should not be dependent on you having debuffers in the team. Anyone should be capable of finishing it. We had a full team and it became impossible. That's a design flaw.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Agreed. I'd be curious if any team of purely smashing/lethal ever has completed this barring temp powers. Immunity to any damage type just excludes players it doesn't add challenge. I thought we learned this lesson back with Envoy of Shadows when he used to be immune to fire. EDIT: Or was it Infernal? I can't remember

[/ QUOTE ]Doubtful, as Marauder can also get more than 100% S/L resists. I wondered about that for a time when Infernal's hit happened.
  14. I've only heard of one AV that had a resist cap put on him, and that was Infernal's resistance to fire.

The Corr was fire/pain, and our leader, so she had the Hami thing. Which is why she was never hitting him in melee.

The scrapper was broadsword, and both brutes were electric melee.

[/ QUOTE ]Didn't Castle say the Hami thing didn't actually do anything?

In another few weeks, would anyone be interested in a Capcom Vs. SNK theme TF time trial?

[/ QUOTE ]That sounds interesting. I just need to find out when the other one will be so I know not to schedule my own, unrelated, Themed TF at the same time.
  17. Hm, the question is now "was that the only icon fixed?"
  18. I've seen 100% to Smashing, Lethal and Energy myself, with pretty much all of the other damage types in the high 90s. What kind of Corruptor was it?

    RUSH the RIKTI!!

Only have one more chance to Raid the Rikti, before the Rikti Raid us!
  20. It was the first of a couple similar articles that included player participation. I believe it was an attempt by the writer of the time to include player's stories in official canon, and to have images of the enemy group in something other than the static poses.

Here's the latest patch notes. I'm sure theres something DOOOOM worthy HERE

    [/ QUOTE ]

The new and improved DOOOOOOOM!1!1!!11!!!! from those patch notes is how we will have another mass exodus of PVPers over the change to PVP IO drops (PVP IOs will now drop only from Reputation valid kills, so you can't dual box and kill yourself repeatedly to farm the IOs).

[/ QUOTE ]Folks also can't hospital spawn camp either, and I would think that would be a good thing.
  22. About the only excitement from I15 was the Dom issue, and that's a bit of a mixed bag. Really, the big argument seems to still be centered on I14, whether or not this game has become City of Farmers, and if that's a bad thing or not.
  23. Well, either way some of us have developed a blindness when it comes to the thread stars FD. Whether it's someone that has to pick on 'the little server' or just another off shoot of Protector's occasional drama, the stars really don't mean anything. Hell, I think from now on, I'm going to try to beat this person or persons to the punch, and one star my own threads, here and abroad, as soon as I make them. Remove any effect from his, her or their actions.
  24. But it would have to be more than one person if the story had been holding at two stars for a while.

EDIT: As far as really caring about it, does anyone know if the new boards we're (supposedly) moving to even have the ability to rate threads?
