Just heard on the Radio: Remember, whenever someone says: "I'm not book smart, but I'm street smart." they're really saying: "I'm not real smart, I'm imaginary smart."

Due to technical difficulties, there will be no show on Nov 19. The reviews originally scheduled for that day will be reviewed on the 26th instead. We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Quote:Something tells me that will be plastered just everywhere, won't it?The Count: To all our listeners, this is what I have to say - God bless you all. And as for you bastards in charge, don't dream it's over. Years will come, years will go, and politicians will do **** all to make the world a better place. But all over the world, young men and young women will always dream dreams and put those dreams into song. Nothing important dies tonight, just a few ugly guys on a crappy ship. The only sadness tonight is that, in future years, there'll be so many fantastic songs that it will not be our privilege to play. But, believe you me, they will still be written, they will still be sung and they will be the wonder of the world.

To further explain, for the OPs benefit:
When Going Rogue hits, there will be four main factions to the game, rather than two. (well, six if you count the two for charcters started in Praetoria)
Hero: Only have access to Paragon
Vigilante: Still considered Hero (for market purposes) but has access to both Paragon and Rogue Isles, and can team with Villains doing Villain content
Rogue: Still considered Villain (for market purposes) but has access to both Paragon and Rogue Isles, and can team with Heroes doing Hero content
Villain: Only have access to Paragon
This, as far as I can tell *is* your suggestion. Folks able to explore both sides of the game, even with factions intact.
EDIT: Damn. Too slow. -
Honestly, I can only really find one drawback to this pack: I really wish there was a version of the belt that didn't come with the cloth flap things. I think having just the bit around the waist and the pouches would really widen the options with it.
-
It doesn't have the emotional content of some of the others here. It's not touching or awe inspiring. I pick this quote becase, when it all comes down to it, it is the most accurate thing ever said in a movie:
Zombieland: Thank God for rednecks! -
Well, none of my fliers are capped these days, so I may just see how it goes just by itself. I may have to decide if I have any characters that drop travel powers entirely with this.
Oh, and Sooner, I'm guessing the flame sisters are on seperate accounts? (if not, I may want to talk to you about pictures)
And just for the fun of it, can't wait to see what Abe looks like bouncing around Paragon. -
Tonight at seven Eastern we review:
Good Intentions
Assault on Aru Prime
Talos Vice
(New Dev's Choice arc) Astoria in D Minor -
I can't quite tell, but the new pack is said to have a sword with a ring on the end of it, is it the same sword mentioned here?
EDIT: Found the two pics, and it looks like it to me. -
Hell, the near-travel power is good enough for me to get this. Is it true it's almost as fast as fly?

Quote:I'd guess that Nemesis being able to face himself (though I don't believe the two actually confront each other personally during the arc) because of the sheer odds that the two shells have as much in common as the two Coles.Missed something, then. See, they *can't* hurt Statesman, basically - it's a bit out of sync with the rest of the lore, as Nemesis (for instance) has no problem fighting other Nemesisss....ess....es. There's probably some "well of the furies" handwaving going on with states, though.
Since the vast majority of the Nemesis body is metal, all it takes is a slightly different ore, or even metal from a different vein and they're no longer 'the same being'. -
Quote:Well, it's not as bad as all that, considering 'Doge' is how it's spelled in the arc already anyway.Just wanted you do know, the leader of Venice was the Doge of Venice, not the Dodge.

Whoops, going to need to push that back about an hour.

I'm going to need some help if I'm going to get the Halloween badges on both characters I was looking to get them on. Tomorrow, Nov 7 around seven PM I'm going to start a team looking to try to get the badges red-side. Given my schedule, it is very likely my last chance to get them this year.
As far as I can tell we need about a team and a half or more to actually get the banners down within the time limit. The only badge I have left to get is Monstrous. If you're interested in helping out, let me know. -
So, I've got a question for you all. Over on the KJSR homepage there's a poll on the right hand column. "Would you be interested in an audio CD of the first season of AEntertaiment Tonight?" If the response is positive enough, then it will be made available through the KJSR store, when it comes back up.

Tonight at seven Eastern tune in for reviews of:
The Coldest of Wars
City of the Apes
Darkening the Light: The Westin Phipps Strike Force
Heroine Hit List: The Shadow Spider Strike Force
Also, we will have feature reviews of the four Guest Author arcs, as well as our first Guest Reviewer! -
Well, yes Walk actually puts a hard cap on movement speed, so that there's no way possible to increase it. However, while Walk is toggled on, all powers are grayed out, similar to being in Studio B of the AE buildings. Thus, the Run speed is shut off, but so is every other benefit from the power. (doesn't matter how good your recovery is, if you're not using any of it beyond whatever Walk costs)
-
Doesn't look like it. Also, there's something about it only being for one character, though I'm not sure how that would work.
-
Wait, the Aion whatnow?
EDIT: Never mind, I found what you're talking about. Yeah, I've got no use for it, either. -
I would really love to have that many reviews on a weekly basis. However, in order for that to happen, I'd really need to have a second team of reviewers, to prevent burn out. However for that to happen, I really need to have a reason to recruit more folks.
After picking out this weeks arcs, we are once again down to two in the queue. We need more submissions if we are going to expand the show. I want to take the time now to thank those that have submitted arcs, without tyou we wouldn't have gotten as far as we have. -
Quote:I don't really see how this would stop anything, they would just hit the reveal power before the start of the contest. Of course, then there are folks who actually do things like map out places like the Abandoned Sewers.Or have the participants start in Oro, set to an arc in that range and then turn off temp powers and have them use AT powers only. It'd make for a creative run to the finish point.
An interesting idea, but I'm not that good at making up riddles.
It was also suggested that I take this little shin-dig to Pocket D on Test, that way I can make this thing cross server. -
Well, the player auction is certainly an interesting option, and something I will keep in mind if the actual contest I pick out has a poor turn out. Having the multi tier event makes it difficult to run during the course of my show, but I have an idea that may make it more interesting.
-
I'm a little late in getting this set up, but here it is: During Get Tanked on the 29th, I mentioned that I was going to give away the Praetorian Clockwork costume I got from Hero-Con. However, I don't have a worth contest to determine who should be the recipient.
Thus, I'm taking suggestions here in this thread for contest ideas. I will pick one to be run on the next Get Tanked show (Nov 6) and the winner of whatever the contest is gets the code. I'm looking for something more intricate than a costume contest, and something less in-depth than the trivia contest that happened at the Con. Also, remember that I'll probably be doing this solo, so any contest where I'd need multiple people probably won't work.
Any ideas? -
Ah crumbs. Don't know why I thought you said 6 Eastern. Guess I'm going to miss out on this.
