So, the first thought I have is, why has no one commented on the implication that Ben and Akando are from the same tribe?
Secondly, I'm curious as to Vir's thinking on the Six-Four situation. Their essentially busting him AGAIN for the build up to his big debacle in the Isles. Is it because he didn't divulge everything he did? Of COURSE he didn't learn anything from the build up to the lesson. The lesson hadn't happened yet. -

Just a note, patrol XP still counts as paying off the debt. I know because I've had several characters earn debt badges while carrying a stack of Patrol XP.

I'm pretty sure we're not allowed to answer that question. At least, not on these forums. You could probably find it yourself with an internet search, but I highly HIGHLY suggest you leave it be. Trust me on this. There are things out there that you can not unsee.

Quote:I actually made a comment about this in another thread, but it was one that was pretty much dead, so I hope no one minds if I repeat myself here:But I do think that some, maybe even all, of the side switching content will take place on Primal Earth rather than Praetoria - like I think a Hero will be able to fall without needing to set foot in Tyrant's empire.
Quote:Sorry about dragging up an old point, but I did finally realize one good reason to have the side switching missions in Praetoria, rather than Primal Earth. If the character switches in a neutral(ish) zone, then it's no more difficult for them to exit from the door on the right, or the one on the left (think RWZ). However, think about what happens should a character switch sides in Peregrine Island, or the Hollows? I'm not sure the Police Drones in Hero zones are different than the ones in PvP. If they are the same entity, then they will shoot player Villains on site. Same goes for Heroes and Arachnos Drones. Now consider that there's at least a pair of them at every zone entrance and tram/ferry.
Now it's possible that the dev might change the 'no enemy factions in Super Groups' rule, which means that they can at least get to safe transporters. Thing is, I seem to remember Drones at all the PvP zone doors, too. Of course, you could always use the RWZ or Pocket D porters, if your group has them. Or maybe go through the Midnighter's Club, if they've opened that door. Or at the VERY least hit the Pocket D porter...if they have the GvE pack on their account.
Unfortunately, even with all of these options available, and we don't even know for sure if they are all available in GR, there will be people who swap sides, who's only method of getting to their new home is through the mediporter.
Ooh, the PvP aspect of it is something I never even considered. -
Incidentally, they are used on both genders, Leo G just can't put images of them on women because of the forum rules against bare breasts. And yes, nipple clamps are fairly low on the totem for people with that particular kink. However, I suspect that they are made, if not gentler, than at least safer than attaching jumper cables to your tits.

Quote:Like I said, for a mad 'genius' he can really be pretty stupid. From what I can remember he has:Although, that still doesn't solve the problem of why the end bits, which should be metal, so as to make the connection, are covered in rubber/plastic, and the handle bits, which should be covered in rubber/plastic for protection, are in fact metal - even for mad science, it looks shockingly dangerous.
*run for president under his own name (even he didn't think it'd work)
*tortured a robot to death because the robot made him get a haircut
*successfully killed the actor who plays him in order to replace him with Kirby -
Technically, you can't see what they could be connected to. I seem to remember some versions of Frankenstein where something looking remarkably like jumper cables is used to connect the lightning rod to the bolts in Frankie's neck.

Quote:Half of one, six dozen of the other actually. That was an image of Doctor Insano, a character mostly seen on both the Spoony Experiment and Atop the Fourth Wall. Both of them are review shows, the former will rant about anything and is probably one of the biggest leaders of the "FFVIII sucks" movement. The latter is newer and focuses on bad comics.Oh, is that actually from something? I thought it was just random web weirdness
The character is brought out whenever either of them need a villain, or to point out exceptionally poor decisions made by the villains, or to rant about the pseudo-science used. -
Quote:Well, first off the character is notoriously BAD at being a mad scientist, since he is, at least in part, a parody of the Archetype, used for comedic purpose. Secondly, and to actually quote the man, himself:But the clamps in the picture are the wrong way around - the end bits are rubber, and the handle parts are metal - I know the guy's a mad scientist, but that doesn't mean he's that dumb that he'd hold eletrical things by the metal parts
Quote:WHAT IS IS ABOUT THE NAME INSANO THAT ESCAPES YOU PEOPLE!? -
In that case, may I suggest you try the Player Questions section? That way, everyone there would know you're trying to get information about a certain subject, and are less likely to respond with snark. Then, once you have more information, you can put together a more complete suggestion, if you still have one beased on the answers you've received.

Quote:Unfortunately, your new suggestion doesn't quite escape this issue. True there's no reason for one AT to just be a specific origin, but the penalties give a reason for certain ATs, or at least power sets to AVOID specific origins. For instance, your Body Builder example in your first post. Any Character with a resist based defense set would want to avoid being Natural origin, because it chips into said characters survival.Adding similar strengths to the perks would take away from people saying they can't have something because they are a certain origin. To add to this.

That could be added to the perk system. Giving a boost to the perk depending on what area you are in. There could also be more than one strength to a perk to go along with the weakness -

In that case, the only side switcher I mentioned that's 50 would be Momma Abrahms.
-
Oh good, I thought I had heard that as well about the unlock level. Can't say one way or the other on the length, though.

Arc length is a good point, and one that I hadn't thought of before. However, at the very least, Momma Abrahms (at her suggestion) and the two Happ Hazards will go through it at the very least.

So, as we're waiting for Going Rogue access, be it Beta, Open Beta or Live, an idea was suggested for a poll to see just how many of our characters are actually being considered/prepped for the side switching that will be made available. Credit where credit is due, this idea came from Golden Girl, and while it would have been off topic for the thread it came up in, I thought it a good enough idea to warrant a thread of it's own. So to get the ball rolling:
Huh. Counting up I have seven Heroes and seven Villains that are actually seriously being worked on or already level 50. Out of my Heroes, four will become Vigilantes, but none will go full Villain (at this time). Out of the Villains, two maybe three will Go Rogue, and one will go full Hero. There is one that will be restarted as a Demon Summoner, but I don't know yet if he will follow Desdemona's lead. And just for the sake of thoroughness, I have one character concept who will start as a Tyrant Loyalist, but I don't know yet which way his story will go. -
Hm. Probably not a good idea for this thread, but for a new thread altogether....
