  1. Well, I guess there's not that much interest after all. Well, there's another idea, but nowhere near as grandiose...anyone thinking of an all VEAT STF?
  2. So I'm running my Wolf Spider around Striga, when I realize I should get him in a Super Group, if for no other reason than to have the usual amenities. Then I remember that I'm not the only one who's taken a Spider to the City of Blue, and I wonder, is there enough of us to make an Arachnos themed Super Group? Is there any interest? If so, what should such a group be called, and does it already exist?
  3. No it doesn't. There's no plans at the moment to remove it, either. The most likely scenario is that the costume team may add in a version of the pack without the symbol, for those that want the option.
  4. Hrmph. My post got eaten.

M I A is my Responsibility Loyalist. He's the Praetorian Abrahms, except instead of the usual situation where the Praetorian is a vastly different person than the Primal one, it's purely external forces that have caused the differences between the two.

Nuclear Arsenal is my Resistance Crusader. She's one of the people that have 'disappeared' from Utopia. Officially she was brought in for 'testing' that eventually 'discovered' meta-human powers. After having her memory wiped several times, she was cleared to join the Powers Division. That might not have been a good idea.

Super Cooled will be my Resistance Warden...eventually. Since he's going to be a Praetorian Clockwork who gains sentience, I'm going to need to find out more about them in order to find out exactly how that's going to work. Also, while I know his powers are going to be Ice/Elec, I'm still not sure which AT he's going to end up.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that M I A is Thugs/Traps, and Nuclear Arsenal is DP/Rad.

    Best Part of GR

It's all good stuff for me (well, I can't quite come up with an idea for Kinetic Melee, so haven't tried that yet) but the Closest to Completion badge window is beyond awesome.
  7. I heartily agree with this, but I don't think that it needs a new mission. Going deeper into spoiler territory here:

Really, all that needs to be done is to change the mission objective where you find the Duplicate. Instead of clicking on a 'box of parts' they can have the Duplicate up and running.

  9. It's a couple Issues old at this point. I15 or 16, I think.
  10. Well, it wasn't ideal, but we got Sam out.

Navigating the Tunnels wasn't that big a problem it turns out. The Explosives are really handy to clear out most of the Troll spawns. We managed to get from Kharsis to the door in under five minutes.

The real problem was that the rumor I had heard about this Trial is indeed true. The Pumacites respawn, which means we couldn't just clear the map and head to the posts. Which is sad because the Pumacites themselves weren't that big a threat, as long as the team was together. Once we started leaving people at Obelisks however, we were quickly overrun and crushed.

We were able to keep most of the tunnels clear at least, and we had enough stealthy people (and one dead Yeti) that could take the tunnels that weren't. We did manage to rescue Sam at about 50 minutes in, but I think this confirms that we do need some form of stealth to get through this TF.
  11. Meeting is going to go over a bit. I will be on as soon as I can.
  12. Reminder, this is tomorrow. If anyone was waiting to jump in for a last minute slot, now's the time to say so.
  13. When they were talking about the variationsd on neighborhoods, there was one sign that prompted a line from a movie review:

Sorry...had to rib you on that.
As if I've ever made any claims to being a great writer. Either way, glad someone else poked this one back up to the top, because I obviously forgot to.
  17. I don't really have any plan to let a Hero fall, at most my heroes will go Vigilante. I do have got some Villains who will go Rogue, and one who will go all the way around to Vigilante.

Indeed. Before you run off to join the "only servers with populations" seriously consider if you want to spend half of the next major event, like a double XP weekend, or the release of Going Rogue looking at a log in queue. It's only going to get worse if more people keep flooding those servers.

Here's a question though: How were we supposed to take the screen shot, if the Live servers were down, and the Test server's been down all week. Seems to me like anyone who'd be able to participate in the game...wouldn't be allowed to.
  20. It looks like I'm going to have to postpone this for two weeks. So get those characters ready, we're going to try this on Augusy 14.

I find it odd that there's no other salute that's ever used in fiction, but I have no complaint about the request itself.
  22. Are you guys still planning on running this one at some point?
  23. M_I_Abrahms

    Anyone care?

The only complaint I have is that it's not just 3D, but three different flavors of 3D. I'm hoping it still looks good on a regular screen.
  24. I'm glad to see some enthusiasm about this. Fair warning though, depending on sheduling, there's a possibility that this may need to be pushed back two weeks. I will let everyone know if that is the case, but until then we will go ahead as planned.

Just so everyone knows, I'm planning on bringing my Fire/NRG Blaster to this. He has the Trial unlocked, but is only level 15, so he'll be packing DOs, and no 'extra powers' from exemping.
  25. I've got the map of the Tunnels cleared (Thank you Reveal) and from what I hear the map is the same one as the final mission of the Cap au Diable trial, so that shouldn't be too much trouble. Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing if that's the case.

I want to be perfectly clear on one point, however. I am fully aware that the majority of the player base of this game thinks that this is impossible. I knew that when I put the thread together. I still want to try anyway, regardless of the odds.

Now, for those that are interested, go ahead and bring characters that need the badge. There's always the off change that we may beat fate and snatch the Golden Fleece, but that's not the main goal in this. It's the icing on the cake of a good long teaming session. And there will be some tasty badge sprinkles along the way.

But we are Protector, we are the crazy ones. We are the people who hear only a challenge in the words "it can't be done". Well, I'm telling all of you, that this can't be done, so who's going to prove me wrong?
