The real problem why EU populations are low?
[/ QUOTE ]
Got the same game over here as they do in the US. Maybe there are less people playing over here becsuse there are simply more people in the US who want to play games online. -
[ QUOTE ]
Heroes side is fine for teaming. It is Villains that i was complaining. The population there are about 3 times less then heroes.
[/ QUOTE ]
Generally villians are easier to solo than heroes for some reason. Possibly a lot of the villians are hiding because they want to solo - or maybe you're right and there are less villians than heroes. My preferred villin is my stalker and I find her easier to solo than team and I do tend to hide from searches when soloing... -

Some form of 'help, help' would be good, though I've noticed you often get speech bubble's popping up from mobs when you're near them litterally, but still have a mile of corridor to go through to get to them, so it may still be difficult to find them.
[/ QUOTE ]
I never get anything like that till I've attacked the mobs surrounding them. -

Read this thread for quite possibly far more info than you may want on the subject.

That's a little out of date. Forget about using the CoT pain crystals for instance, they stop affecting you after a short time. -

similarly not being able to turn off cetain powers during fights is rather ludicrous, I was fighting an AV yesterday in a team and I had to actually move away to turn focused accuracy off, rather than just not turning it off anymore.
if I want to stop sprinting in real life for example, I don't have to put everything down, move away from what I'm doing and seperately stop sprinting. I just stop sprinting...
[/ QUOTE ]
This is a real pain and I just can't understand why they did it. We've all made that daft mistake and left an endurance sapping power activated when starting a fight. Now we can't turn it off without running away. A lot of these changes are just adding to the frustration level. What possible exploit could there be in being able to turn a toggle off???
[/ QUOTE ]
That's a bug, fixed on test. From the patch notes:
[/ QUOTE ]
Played a bit last night, was impossible to turn sprint off without drawing back and waiting a couple of seconds after the last attack. Not a major problem really. -
What's the point of that option? Why go to all that trouble and turn all rewards off? Seems a bit odd to me.
-
Netgraph was all green with a ping of around 156. That axe is the only power that lacks an animation so I don't think network issues are the answer. I'll play around a bit and see if I can find out what's causing it - not a great problem,. just a bit disconcerting

I make extensive use of the ghost slaying axe when fighting CoT. The animation for it is now none existent. The axe is drawn but the toon stands there like a lemon waving the axe around like a bit of limp lettuce. Happens on all my toons that use this axe.

I mean ffs people... the devs put down alot of heart, soul and hard work into it. The shields and such look fabulous. All the little details and so on.
Sure there's a load of bugs, but they will be fixed, most of em aren't that major, but just annoying.

Oh, I do like all these new releases and I'm grateful that we get the vast majarity of new content completely free while most other games makes you pay extra. BUT, we still have key bugs going back to the year dot...in my most humble opinion it's about time some extra effort was diverted to fixing those. -

Ok, forgive me for missing something...
You get merits for taking down GMs? Story Arc GMs, or ANY GM? Is Lusca finally going to get hunted again?
[/ QUOTE ]
According to the merit guy in atlas and the patch notes yeah any GM drops merits. Though i think its only 1 per GM? Hardly going to be farmed but still a better reward than the old system
[/ QUOTE ]
You've been able to talk to him? I get no response at all. Do you actually need to have earned a merit before they'll even recognise your existence? *grumbles*
[/ QUOTE ]
No, but if you're below about level 5 there's nothing you can buy and they may not talk to you.
[/ QUOTE ]
Seems the game is responding differently to different toons (or accounts). I had no response whatsoever from a merit npc on a lvl 28 villian or a lvl 50 hero. -

Re: so what do you think to i13?
[/ QUOTE ]
Not much. My scrapper was sent to a new contact in Steel but can't access the damn place because she hasn't finished the arc that grants access. Fine, only problem is she can't complete the arc because some of the salvage required to create that lost curing wand has vanished from her inventory. She also can't change the current mission because apparently being solo doesn't make you the leader of your none existent team. Frankly I'm fed up with it already. -
Oh dear, logged in with my poor scrapper and instant problems.
Can't change the active mission because I'm not the leader - hello...I'm solo, there's no team and I'm not on any form of TF...just who is the leader then? Bug report raised.
The game told me the time has come to create a wand to cure the lost, great. Only problem is that after doing all the missions, I don't have all the pieces required and these are not items that can be bought. I'm missing a circle of thorns incantation...handy thing to have apparently. Bug report raised.
I got fed up with it then and logged. Couldn't be bothered to see what else was broken. I'll try another toon later, probably... -
It's a trade off, you either slot for endurance reduction or damage. Then you either tear through a group of mobs in ten seconds then have to spend five minutes resting or you take five minutes to take them down due to hardly any damage and move on to the next group without pausing. Guess the devs just wanted you to take five minutes per fight at that level
I find it annoying too but it gives you something to look forward to at higher levels... -
I've just earned my 45 month badge. For me that's a hell of a long time on one game so that says something (to me anyway). There's not a huge amount in the game that I haven't seen or done. I'm not logging in a great deal at the moment because I need a rest from it. I'm not contemplating cancelling my subscription because I know I'd regret it very quickly. I just need a change of scenery for a while. I'm off to something completely different, Openlife - a beta on the OpenSim grid - that's a competitor to second life for those who haven't seen it yet. Don't think I'm leaving CoX though, that simply won't happen for a long time yet!
-
I logged on a few times Saturday and every flaming time I logged in I found myself in a the middle of a Rikti raid. On one occasion I managed to reach a mission, every other time I just logged straight out. I'm getting really fed up with all these pointless raids. It was a nice novelty for a while, now it's old and frustrating, can't even be bothered to zone to get away from them when they'll just follow me to the next zone.

Well, a motorcycle halmet is a hard cap while a bobble hat is a soft cap.
If you wear the wrong one at the wrong time you could be in trouble.
-
No thanks. The existing servers barely seem able to cope with the influx when there are events like halloween running.

I'm certain I've had team invite boxes pop up whilst I've been in missions though - one in the Frostfire one meant I didn't see an ice patch and ended up careering into a wall, and another villain-side when I was stealing supplies from the boat and getting caned by three Fang soldiers.
[/ QUOTE ]
That shouldn't happen. Team invites shouldn't be sent if you're on a mission. Don't know if that was always the case but it certainly is now. -
The servers "look" quiet at the moment because half the world is on the test server playing with the next release. This thread will no doubt soon be hijacked by the usual people claiming the servers are dead and need to be merged. I suggest sticking around till the next release goes live (and the people have returned from test) then making up your own mind.

I made a start on a set of bio's for my toons which attempted to link them all together in some way. Lost interest after a while I'm sorry to say. Hardly seemed worth the effort since there isn't enough room in the in-game bio and no way to display a URL properly in-game.
-
I received a one word tell some time ago, "Fill?"
I sent a reply back "What?"
Never did get an explanation. Took me months to find out what it meant. If people are asking for something they need to be specific and remember that not everyone on the game knows the jargon, at least till they've been here for a while.
