I know that.. its part of the legend. The people who lived in the area at the time where suficiently scared to make some stuff up. But as she bloody tortured and killed over 600, it was easy to use it to form blood rituals and make her a vampire...

Just couldn't resist. And it's a real fun to play build.

For me (and I helped Vlad with same solution), I came up with an acceptable solution. In both the Dracula comics and the series Buffy the vampire its accepted that legion of vampires even at early stage started to use famous names in order to secure some fame of their own. Using that persons name as leverage.

Some of those during the ages actually started to believe that they where the real thing.

I use the real name of Elizabeth... and I play her as if she is the real thing. Her arrogance will place all others she meet as a wannabe. But the chance, even far away, will always be there that she herself is a brain washed fake... Without knowing so.

Also.. on villains I use her real name.. she can travel around rather safely without getting caught. When she walks around in Paragon she is not using her real name, but her cover as Comtessa Eliza Thabyro.

As you see.. over the past 1,5 years I have thought about this. And I have met players who had alts like Elizabeth Bathory or Blood Countess. I have never actually met the characters themself online at the same time I was a a meeting... so I never ever had the problem of using this explenation. But I have a way on how to react. Worst case we would end up in a fight... both believing we are her, bith claiming the other is a froud. But it would be ic fight, as I would prob enjoy the PT with the player about the history we both have worked out.

I am not claiming I own any rights at all!!

Ok all... I am hugely annoyed by the RP Police.. Who the *^&* is he to judge my characters.

I know Liz is based on an historical character... but that does not automatically make me a violation as she is not copyrighted and it doesn't make me a bad roleplayer either.

Same would go for my friend Dark Ebon Spider who roled Vladislav Dracule... It's major fun to roleplay those toons... and it doesn't hurt anyone.

A big part of the roleplay community hate my guts.. I have the maturity not to name names here... But this RP Police is set up as a new account.. to stay annonymous. If you want to attack me.. Do that face front so we can discuss it.

Elizabeth looked at the puzzle box, and shove it aside again.

"Thank you Alex... a gentleman as always. Till next time we meet!"

Elizabeth sipped some of her chalice... already looking slightly bored with the whole subject...

"Whatever... We can vote on it, now or later. Were not nearly that far yet anyway."

"I don't like it!" Elizabeth said with a firm voice. Standing up and walking to the wall where the images are projected.

"Even though I am all for gaining what we want fast... this is not yet the time. Over eagerness brought down armies."

Elizabeth looked at Romanov... then back to Pistol... "I too have faith in this plan. But to go global without testing it would be insane! There are simply too many factors that can go wrong. For all we know the Liberty Islands have their own native spandex hidden away!"

"Too many who share our point of view have been beaten by these so-called heroes after they should have won. Simply because of giving away plans to early or being to sure of ones power. I have not survived this long by doing so."

Elizabeth looked again at Romanov very interested... checking him out and ending looking in his eyes... "As of the plan to set these puppets in power after, for me it will not make much difference who of the two. But as the Liberty Island is populated by an african mascular proud race I guess it will not do to have a female as head of state."

"Better use the male..."

She walked around the table back to her chair.. while passing Romanov she gently strokes his shoulder with her hand. She sat down and leaned on the table, giving him a good look at her decollette.

Smiles.. "He understands..."

Elizabeth thought on that for a second... "I guess we could use his shriveling chief of staff... something ... Tutu his name was I think."

"I noticed he was real eager to do everything he could to please Buku. That might be exploitable!"

Captivated by Erebus his report Elizabeth sipped from her chalice. She saw lots of possibilities in the local spirits and the idea of throwing bodies in the volcano made her smile too. After some torture ofcourse, and bloodletting.

She realised that Alex Romanov was asking her a question, and looked up. "The oaf certainly is! As long as he is too believed he is liberating his people his pride will make it easy for me to steer him all ways I... ehh... we want."

"I didn't even needed any hypnosis to get him thus far... Anyway... please let me know when he outlived his usefullness and I can just kill him. Making sweet to him repulses me beyond words." And with those words she gave a meaningful look towards Romanov.

I have the same problem and also reported it... But as you said. Its an old known error.

The woman walked toward the hostess' chair. Ofcourse she was Elizabeth Báthory herself. But she didn't looked a vampire. Her skin had a healthy color and her eyes where dark green.

She took off her jacket and hat and Vladimir almost tripped over himself rushing to take it from her.

At the table there was already a chalice being filled with blood by one of the japanese servants. Elizabeth sat down and nipped some of her drink. The blood touched her lips and almost instantly her fangs grew a bit... and her eyes turned red from blood lust.

She placed her chalice down and looked around to her guests...

"I am sorry for my late arrival. As some of you may have read in the tabloids... I was 'entertaining' a certain general."

Her eyes fell on the Inquirer laying ready on her desk and she smiled.

"She will be indeed..." a female voice said.

Walking into the room was a young female with long dark hair. She was wearing a red shortdress and a fashionable jacket that covered her shoulders. On her head there was an elaborate hat and she already started to take of her travel gloves.

Vladimir peered through a window. The countess gave him an accurate discription of any of the invities. And these two didn't fit.

He snapped his fingers and two armored zombie knights rushed to him. He opened the door flanked by the two guards. "Greetings... I am not interested in any business you might have. The countess is not in and didn't leave instructions for any unwanted visitors. Please leave... now!"

With that answer he slammed the door close again!

Sunday February 10th, 5:45pm In Cap Au Diable the last students are leaving the library for home. Two of them, a boy and a girl, are taking the short route through the old city home. While passing a large house with two big Gargoyle faces on the wall the boy noticed a light inside... "He Suzanne, there is light in that creepy place..! I thought it was deserted?"

Suzanne, that was the girl's name, looks a bit unsettled... "Yeh.. fine... walk faster... I don't want to be anywhere near it when the sun goes down."

Inside the house there where indeed several electrical lights on. A bit unusual... but the Court of the Blood Countess wasn't really used to much visitors.

On the 1st floor there was a room made ready. A large table with a diversity of expensive food placed. Several bottles of very old wine where around. The mid-evil looking tableware had an crest surrounded by a snake on it... the family crest of Báthory.

The countess herself was not yet in... but several Japanese servants where making the last finishing touches. All being ordered around by a huge zombie sorcerer/lich who listened to the name of Vladimir. Vladimir spoke with a central-european accent and an old tone. "Hurry up... the guests are arriving soon. If its not perfect in time, the countess will have you all for spare parts!"

((I changed the date of next meeting to Sunday February 10th.. we are lacking behind and our secret off - forum things todo need more time to... As next meeting will not be in Thugz Mansion I will start a new Thread for it.))

Update (The) Court of the Blood Countess
I have reviewed and enhanced the Roleplay on the Court which was lacking some at certain points. It will be much better now.

Aside from that the Court also has an underground division in Paragon City. Gathering all of the same kind of Gothic Horror creatures residing there... Corrupting the hero society from within.

Comtessa Moves to remote Island

Comtessa Eliza de Batary, well known for her appearances on high society parties held by Paragon City's rich and famous, is heard renting a place on the remote laying island near Africa called 'Îles de Liberté' or Liberty Island. Hear the revealing scoop right here.

It's sounds a bit out of character. The Comtessa looks a bit uncomfortable for the interview and photoshoot. "I am not used to giving interviews!", she says with a small smile.

For the last two years the Comtessa has been living in an unknown location somewhere in Paragon City. Claiming she needed to have a private life outside the society pages she held that a secret to everyone. But that has changed now... we of 'Capes' have found out that she rented a villa on the 'Îles de Liberté' or Liberty Island at the far side of Africa. What brings a person like her to go and live in such a remote area?

"I only rented it as a vacation resort... I really need the rest!", she declares with a slight French accent. "I looked at lots of places around Paragon, but that just isn't giving me the rest I need. This place is beautiful, and remote enough to really clear my mind."

And we may have to agree with her. Being so close to her it seems her skin is rather pale at some places. Probably because of lack of sleep. This must be the price paid for parties that sometimes go on till late in the morning.

"I am not really moving at all... I will stay away for a few months. After that... who knows." She really looks like a night queen. The Comtessa is wearing an expensive red dress. Her smile beams out to everyone in the room. Although every gossip magazine in the U.S.A. have tried to find out her real age, none has yet find it out. Still looking at her she just can't be older then 31. "I will be back before you know it!"

The villa she bought is called 'Villa Palm'. It has a lovely view over the volcano... a Private road... 5 rooms of which 3 are bedrooms, and an exposure to the South. So what is a party animal like you doing with three bedrooms? "Hahaha... you really want to know that? Actually it's rather boring. I bring along some help and a cook. I am not sure I can take the local food. That was the only possible setback on the place.", she reacts outgoing.

We wish her a good vacation and hope for all rich heroic men in Paragon City that she will be back shortly.

Elizabeth stood up emptying her glass... "If that's all gentlemen... Alicia... I have lots to prepare. I will see you all Sunday February 3rd."

Without looking at Pistol Elizabeth turned, only giving Romanov a second glance. Then she walked out the room. The door guard quickly jumped aside, very carefull not to look at her.

Elizabeth looked over her shoulder and gave him a wicked smile. Then a shimmer came over her and her skin again started to change... A few seconds later a giant reddish bat flew into the darkness... towards Cap Au Diable...

"Agreed...", Elizabeth replies.

"There is a lot to plan for all of us now that tasks are divided. I for one need to gather info on this Buku and his society and more... I expect us all to perfectly understand what it is we each have to do and be ready for that by next meeting. So we can set this in motion."
