Ok... I tried last weekend... This is what I came up with. I should clean it up and such. And I am terrible in digital drawings (never learned).

  2. OMG! This stuff is sooo good! It makes me want to practice my drawing again... haven't drawn anything in ages. I would love to see your take on my main vampire witch!

    http://union.virtueverse.net/wiki/Elizabeth_Bathory

In short.. she is actually the real Elizabeth Bathory... Schooled in Dark Witchcraft and necromancy and turned into a vampire after her death by those same dark demon gods that she invokes for her witchcraft. Any vampire look with an aristocratic pose will do.

She wears an amulet that the game isn't allowing me to add... http://union.virtueverse.net/wiki/Am...the_Dark_Lords

And is ingame an Necromancy/Dark Miasma Mastermind...

I'm not too bothered about weather effects. Sure, it'd be nice, but not the end of the world if we don't get it.

However, I think we SHOULD most definitely get SEASONAL changes to the city's looks. Leaves falling in the fall, maybe puddles in the ground without actually showing us the rain. Bare trees in winter, a few patches of ice maybe in place of puddles. Blossom in the spring and excessive heat in the summer!

Accompanied, of course, by changes in attire on NPC's and different flavour text from them.

And of course, the really important part... A longer day/night cycle. Doesn't have to be real time, but as it is now, it's WAY too short!

Again, this is all QoL stuff that doesn't add to the combat or anything, but it DOES add to the ambience without actually doing all the complicated weather stuff.

Ooh, and different skies too... Overcast, dark and gloomy, patchy sun, and clear.
I completely agree with this! Ha... I was just about to type something like this There are ways to make better immersion and use of the Ultra Mode abilities without fully create weather effects. And I am sure that it shouldn't be allowed to effect powers AT ALL!

NPC and mob look and behaviour is a no-brainer! That would make the whole of the city sooo cool! And I like the OP 's idea on helping NPC's out on the street. Give a badge for it so it is actually done too.
  4. I have one concept toon that is a young hotshot timetraveller...

I love using prestige powerslide + siphon speed on him

but he also has teleport for his spacejumps. Teleport is great when you learn to use it in combat. Its tricky but appearing behind the baddies... shoot and tp back is nice.

and hover to show off his gravitational abilities (hover + jumppack + siphon speed)

So I can pick the way he transport himself... still having a limited amound of slots used.

with I19 my tanker who already has hasten and fly will get superspeed too. Just nice concept. Hasten is always a good add-on.
  5. hmm... What comes to mind first...

-I would have tried making a model that works directly on the character.. Instead of our current cilinder.
    -Fingers in the model
-Start with one game... the splitting of the community is just plain stupid!
-I would have splitted the text from the code. Meaning the server gives codes only and the client translates the codes to readable text. This way the client can pick the language you want to read it in. And EU would have had two more server playable.

It gives some defense, stops knockback and, when the ceilings are high, allows me to stay out of melee range if I so desire. Also gives me a good view of the action.
The same... My main is also in character that way as she is suppose to be a vampire... Now... do I slot it?

    Ofcourse...

Two Freebirds for some extra regen
Three Luck of the Gamblers for regen, HP and the much wanted 7.5% recharge

It helps a lot for a mastermind to stay out of melee and at the same time have a good overview. Hovering above an enemy throwing debuffs is also handy.

Through some EU meets (of which one was the Omega Sektor one)... Met you and several others.

ps. If you know the right link on YouTube you can meet Dante too But I am not going to tell

  11. I must be extremely ' newsletter wanting' somewhere as I usually get two copies to the same email.
  12. Bathory Erzsebet - My main Villain and my first toon. She will always be on top of all powers to be gained in this game. A Necromancy / Dark Miasma / Soul Mastermind.

For some reason even though she is a mm she uses a lot of End. Probably because of my aggressive debuffing way to play. Cardiac will give her END/DAMRES and the rare later even adds to her FEAR.
  13. Ofcourse I remember him.... Met him at the Omega Con. Nice guy.

That Galaxy far far Away better treats him well
  14. For years now there hasn't been any new innovations in superheroes at ALL! In the early years of Marvel the compagny would try and test new characters and concepts on a regular basis. Some would work... Some would fail drastically. Marvel hasn't done that for ages. Instead they go for yet another spinn-off from a already well-selling known character.

    This means they only rehash!

DC does it a bit better... but the old crew will never really leave.

Ofcourse others can be a Batman... But the public will never accept another. New flash (person connected to the Speed Force) is easy... new Green Lanterns are even easier. More people in teh Superman family too. As Kara and al-El are natural aliens that can obviously procreate with humans they will give at least part of their Kryptonean genes and powers to their children.

And the legion of others that are immortal or long lived!? They will be there. If you read ' The Guardians of the Galaxy' series by Marvel comics you get a good idea. Dr. Strange is long lived and can hope to reach 500 years. Thor can easily reach 1000 years. Wonder Woman will be immortal (at least as long as she stays under Aphrodites protection). Wonder Man/Hollywood is an energy being and immortal. The Vision is a Synthesoid and can be reused or still there. Iron Man already had successors. But can also go the Batman Inc. route.

But it all ends up on the same... The Comapnies aren't interested in taking a chance with new characters and loose money... not when they can draw upon money making characters. So the original ones will be made more modern/updated and will always be there.

I myself have been involved with bringing 6 or 7 of them down once they went Live (I don't count the ones I helped kill during the beta because they were much easier to kill during the beta).

While I usually like any idea for adding new badges to the game I can actually almost accept the Devs' reasoning on this one. It does take a serious effort from lots of people to take one down, more effort than is really reasonable. Then again once there are a bunch of Incarnates flying around taking down a Rikti drop ship might be seen to be more within the realm of "realistically doable" by the Devs.

But to do this people need a reason to do it... And a badge will help get people together for it. No badge... = sometimes hard to get enough together.
  19. We need a badge for destroying a Rikti Drop ship. I never understood why this GM size ship didn't gave a badge!

    "Ah hell"
Suraya moved straight to Tyran. Together they seemed to disappear. Her spells bending the light around them as some sort of Fata Morgana. Quickly both left the scene for safety.

The werewolves and the incinerator platoon where met with a howling message from the Wraith Elizabeth send in. Now understanding that the viral lab was near the mine Jack silently moved away down the path to meet with his mistress.

The group was decimated... and in a lot of hurt. It seemed only one flamethrower was still working. But then again... was it still needed? "This island seems to be coming apart!", Jack said... "We may not be needing to destroy the virus... But I do want to get out of this hell-hole alive!"

Those with heightened senses, may of heard an odd voice as the sphere dissipated, or seen just the hint of writhing tentacles, those with magical senses would of felt the presence of something more ancient than the stars taking interest in those in the immediate area.
The werewolves looked up as they heard the strange sound... Paul looked worried... "Yes, something is not good here." They moved as quickly to the mine as they could.

With that, the three DeFeurards extended their left hands, palms open. The air warped and split, a faint, see-through door appearing in mid-air. It was like a house door, simple and un-painted, just wide enough to allow one person. Lawrence opened it, stepping aside with a slight bow to Maria, which was returned as she stepped through into the hazy beyond. Lawrence followed as Leon took a hold of the door, holding it open for Emerald.
    "After you, m'lady."
Back in the mine Elizabeth felt the ancient power rise. She barely noticed the degrading remark Leon made. Which might be good for him... as there where some things she could not tolerate. And he was already pushing his luck.

This power... if she could control it!? She needed to know what it was. Looking at the closing portal she quickly replied to Leon and his kin... "The next time we met might be more... bloody!" Then she lifted her posse from the ground and made haste to the exit... ignoring anything and everyone around her.

Outside she saw Jack arrive... She also saw the state the island was in. The tendrils rose high... and the crater obviously showed that this place was on the verge of self-destruction. "Jack! We need to get out of here. But I want to make really sure it is destroyed."

She landed in front of the few left over from her once organised incinerating platoon. Adressing the one zombie knight who still had a flamethrower things had to be decided fast. "You... go down the shaft and burn everything even remotely looking like a containment! And don't stop for anything!" The knight nodded and activated the flamethrower.. then ran inside the darkness knowing full well he would never come out again.

Elizabeth looked up at the skies... "Lucard is after Tomb... I know he will do what he can... We have to make sure we can leave this place." She looked at the last one of the zombies who was in a pretty bad shape. Still having two legs but missing an arm and with a huge hole in his chest. "You stay here and be my eyes and ears!" She touched the leathery brow of the servant and made a direct connection with it. So she would be able to see what it saw! A proud smile came on its undead lips. "My honorrrr...", it said.

Then the blood countess started to chant. And slowly in front of them the island side of the dark mirror appeared. Moved from the beach to where they where now. "We will leave now!"

Jack howled once and his pack of battlewounded werewolves knew it was time to leave... one by one they jumped into the portal... Followed by Vladimir and the vampire queen her personal guard. Elizabeth looked up once more and send out a mental message to Lucard and Erez'Zul. "Get the girl and bring her. But if you cannot... the portal to safety is here and will stay open for at least 30 minutes. She can go down with her island. The virus and process is destroyed!" Then she stepped through the mirror herself.

He was surprised to also see a hooded girl and a green-veined man. Had they been inside the lift? Damsel had failed to mention there were other passengers on board the Priest Elevator Airline. He had wondered why the thing was so much heavier than calculated. By the time it had become apparent why the man was yelling, it was too late to evade.

Priest looked on with shock horror as a missile collided with the two machines he had seen earlier, causing an explosion that ricochetted with such a massive shockwave it cancelled out the Priest's own energy propellant flight and sent him careening towards the ground, momentarily stunned and disoriented.
Suddenly the Desert Princess became visible about 4 meters in the air. She had reached The Priest as requested only just now... her flying only based on levitation as it is she wasn't that fast. She did the best thing she could... disable any... friend or foe... and protect the reverend.

Her body started to glow and exploded in a bright light not unlike a miniature sun! [Flash]

Using the diversion she directly focussed on the Nighthunter... using her flames first to revive him [Thaw], then to greatly enhance him! [Thermal Shield + Forge]

"AbrĂ¢r, the time to act is now!", she yelled out...

Now what exactly is standing in the way of a merged server list? Was this the biggest concern that prevented it?
There is still a lot of things to be done...

We have currently two account servers... NA and EU... These should be merged. Meaning that for some problems can arise if they have an NA account and an EU account. As it is now those names are both the same. And will probably get a prefix. Now which account do you want to keep? And which veteran rewards? Or do you want to keep both? The last one will probably be what NCSOFT wants to establish. If you have two accounts that you can use to duo-box you might consider keeping them both on. Ofcourse this system will loose them some subs that are double!

This effects your global and the global system. The EU will probably get EU as prefix added and a free global name change. Almost the same as with the forum name merge.

    * As a result nothing stops us from merging the site and the last part of the forum. We currently have an EU and NA login for the forums. That would be gone. The ip redirector will be important here. So EU ends up on the EU store to pay for the game in EUR, while NA will be directed to the dollar page.

This gives us advertisements that can be the same all over the world. The ip redirector system will still make sure EU and NA end up on the right order page.

    * All codes and add-ons will be working on the same servers.

    * One big community, one server list, one global system.
  25. free server transfers will not kill any server... As it didnt kill any of the NA lower populated ones. UNION has a community spirit and reputation that will not die. Even though in the first month people will transfer... so too people will transfer or start on UNION!

    Eventually this will be balanced.

Two seperate games was an error from the start. And we just have to accept the change. I will not move any of my toons away from UNION. So UNION red-side will await whomever want to try it.
